Dr Philpotts is the absolute best retinal specialist ANYWHERE! He takes his time with you, listens to you, and answers your questions. He is the most knowledgeable doctor in his field, and is the kindest doctor I've ever met. Dr Philpotts takes away any worries or fear you may have if/when you face surgery.

I went to Dr. Phillpots with blurred vision. He diagnosed the problem as two detached retinas. Shortly afterwards he performed two retina operations on my left and right eyes one week apart. He is very personable and explained in detail the procedure and what to expect after surgery. Thanks to God and the expertise of Dr. Phillpots my eyes healed and I had no loss of vision! I would highly recommend Dr. Phillpots, his staff and St. Luke's Institute.

Dr. Phillpotts recently saved my eyesight in the right eye by surgical procedure. I suffer with diabetic retinopathy. He has guided my care for almost three years. He is an excellent ophthalmologist (I have had three), and I recommend him and St.l Luke's highly.

Dr Phillpotts repaired my detached retina. He did a great job and returned my eyesight back to 100% of where is was. He is both caring and professional with exceptional skills. Staff in that section of St Luke's is awesome. Only downside is that he is popular and busy. Bring a book.

I am so thankful for Dr Brian Phillpotts and his team at St Luke's. Six years ago I had several surgeries for dislocated lens by Dr Phillpotts, and implants by Dr James Gills. Had another good follow up appointment this week. I would recommend Dr Phillpots and Dr Gills and St Luke's to anyone who wants the very best care for their eyes. The people there are kind and caring and knowledgeable. As a Christian I appreciated their prayers and if you are not a Christian this place could change your heart.

I found Dr. Phillpotts extremely educated in his field, very professional, accurately explains your diagnoses and what he will be doing to correct your injury, and puts you at ease during each step that is taken before and after your operation. I am extremely grateful to have gone to Dr. Phillpotts for eye surgery, as he has given me my eyesight again. During surgery, he gives you instructions, tells you what he is preparing to do and the way he speaks to you, puts you at ease. I remember after my operation, when he said I could finally move, I told him I could see and he said I know. That meant everything to me. My follow-up visits have been very thorough and professional. I have used Dr Phillpotts regularly for years and have had very successful retinal surgery by him. Could not be happier with the care and professional way that he and his staff handle their patients at St Lukes Cataract and Laser institute.

Dr. Phillpotts saw me on an emergency basis - without an appointment - after another colleague at St. Luke's verified that I had a detached retina and had already lost some vision in that eye. Dr. Phillpotts not only squeezed me into his schedule that day, but he performed a follow up procedure the next week WHEN HE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE ON VACATION. Oh, and the lost vision in that eye was completely recovered. I'm not sure who the other reviewers were reviewing, but it could not possibly have been the same Dr. Brian Phillpotts who potentially saved me from going blind at the age of 56.

If you enjoy sitting in the exam chair with a mask covering your face for extended periods past the expected time for the avastin shot, he is your man! Don't ask questions, keep your mouth shut and you will be just fine with this care giver. Waiting is the name of the game for this guy, he could care less about your time and will continue to do so as long as new patients are filtered over to him from St. Lukes huge stream of new patients.

I had a doctor's appointment with Dr. Phillpotts within the past few weeks. Upon arriving and checking in promptly I had a seat in the doctor's waiting room. I was greeted by a very friendly volunteer at the desk and she made me, as well as other waiting patients, feel very much at ease. After waiting for one and a half hour without being called back, I went up to the desk where the volunteer was seated. I explained my waiting and also that I needed to get to work. The volunteer was very, very helpful and told me that she would try to find out when they would be taking me. She came back within a few minutes and explained the situation to me. Upon checking in, a new employee had deleted me from the schedule for the day and therefore I was classified as a 'no show'. I thanked the volunteer for her help in the matter and was called back within five minutes to have my eyes dilated and continue with my appointment. I found this volunteer very professional, helpful and friendly in my matter. Hopefully, the doctor and his staff acknowledge her for her professional and caring ways with the patients. If not for this volunteer, my visit would have been quite an embarrassment for both St. Luke's and Dr. Phillpotts.

He is without a doubt THE BIGGEST JERK I have ever been to. Horrible bedside manner. Indifferent, cold, dismissive and could give a rat's behind about my feelings. Do NOT go to him. You will regret it.

THIS DOCTOR IS NOT TOO FRIENDLY & WHEN I ASK HIM A QUESTION IS REAL BRIEF AND GAVE A DIFFERENT ANSWER TO MY SAME. QUESTION FROM ONE VISIT TO THE NEXT. NOT VERY HAPPY WITH HIM !!

this dr is very rude and when asked a question will not give straight answer I went in with detached retina and after two operations because the first one did not solve the problem I ended up legally blind
