I was one of the blessed patients to be treated by Dr Brian Untch in November 2022. I had a massive goiter that was growing into my chest. I extremely anxious about the surgery and I had been referred to some other "top" surgeons in NY. I was referred to Dr Untch and he took excellent care of me. He was attentive, patient, extremely professional and everything that one would look for in a surgeon. He answered all my questions and explained how the surgery would work including how he would preserve my parathyroid glands and protect my vocal cords during the surgery. I had an amazing experience with him. He removed the MASSIVE goiter through a small neck incision and I was out of the hospital after one night-No calcium issues, no drainage tube, no swelling. I do not have the words to express my gratitude to this amazing human being and surgeon. He has followed up with me after the surgery and adjusted my meds twice. I highly recommend Dr Untch. My husband and I are both "fussy" but after having done extensive research- and consulted top surgeons, we were both in agreement that he was the best choice for the surgery. He is simply the best.
