Dr. Brian Thomas Zafonte, MD

Dr. Zafonte recently performed my hip replacement surgery. Excellent doctor. Two weeks after surgery I am getting around very well - no walker or cane. He took his time to explain the procedure, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. As a matter of fact my primary care doctor stated that if he needed to have a hip replaced he would want Dr. Zafonte to do it.

Dr. Zafonte is an excellent surgeon and communicator. He explained the procedure thoroughly and answered any questions that I had. I felt totally confident going into surgery and with my after care. He is an outstanding doctor! I was also impressed with his PAs, nurses, and staff who were always available to answer my questions. Highly recommend!

ZAFONTE EXPLAINED EACH STEP BEFORE HE BEGAN. MUSIC WAS PLAYING, AND BEFORE I KNOW IT, THE PROCEDURE WAS DONE WITH VERY LITTLE DISCOMFORT. CARDS AND LETTERS WERE SENT TO ME AFTER THE PROCEDURE. PT WAS EXCELLENT AND FOLLOW THE EXERCISES DAILY, YOUR OUTCOME WILL BE EXCELLENT. YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH DR. ZAFONTER, THE PA-C AND NURSES, AND HE CONSIDERS YOU THE PATIENT, YOUR OWN PERSONAL ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON, YOU DO NOT SEE THAT OFTEN, AND IN MY 44 YEARS AS A CLINICAL PHARMACIST, THIS WAS A WELCOME SURPRISE. I was referred to Dr. Zafonte by my doctor.. I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery. Dr. Zafonte cared how I felt and made me feel comfortable from the start to the finish. I had fallen off a ladder at home and broke my wrist and fractured some bones in my right arm. Dr. Zafonte was recommended to me, by some of the emergency room personnel. At the initial visit, he went over the x-rays, and explained to me my different options, and why he thought surgery and inserting a titanium plate and pins was the best route to take . The surgery had me a little worried, since I had never been completely under. They had to cut in on both sides of my arm to correct it, but the scarring is absolute minimal - you can barely even see it . But most importantly, I have full function of my right arm and hand back! He is very skilled surgeon and does excellent work! His staff, and the physical therapists were also very professional and considerate. Brian zafonte removed a enchondroma in my finger and he did such a good job I never had any bruising or anything after his surgery! I can't imagine needing a better person to handle your problem.

I had carpal tunnel surgery a month ago. Dr. Zafonte is wonderful! He explained the procedure very well. I was under extremely good care with Dr. Zafonte and his staff the day of surgery. Dr. Zafonte did a superb job. I am doing well! He is kind and caring.

My 86 yo Mom says he handled "this old lady with charm and grace." He did a awesome job of repairing her compound fractured femur after a fall and providing realistic motivation for full recovery. I am extremely pleased with the procedure Dr Zafonte performed on my hand. It is now 5 weeks after surgery and all is going well. He has a great personality and great professionalism. I highly recommend him.

I have seen Dr. Zafonte several times this year due to increasingly troublesome carpal tunnel in one hand and a trigger finger. He is very personable, pleasant and engaging. Also a very no-nonsense, tells it like it is doctor. My trigger finger didn't respond well to cortisone and my carpal tunnel was awful (same hand) so he performed surgery on both a couple of months ago and it was all a very good experience with EXCELLENT results...no more trigger, no more pain and numbness in my hand. I would definitely recommend. Very nice staff too.
