Dr. Bryan E Labuda, DO

I wish I could give zero stars. Seeing him for my visit not only traumatized me so much that here I am still upset about it all of these years later, but reading these other reviews validates that I wasn’t crazy. I went to him after my insurance changed and I could no longer go to the midwives downtown. I heard great things about the Sewickley practice so I decided to try it. I had a random accident rupture my water during my first childbirth and I really wanted to go for a VBAC because there was no reason for me not to and the c-section recovery was terrible for me so I was putting all of my effort into staying positive and doing what I needed to do for a VBAC with my second child. My husband came with me to my first appointment and here are the things that were said to me: “I could have told you the second you said midwives that you were going to have a c-section because of them”. (It wasn’t their fault) “Oh, I see you don’t like having sex on your back, huh?” (As he performed my pelvic exam) “You have what we call an android pelvis and you’re not getting more than a 5-6lb baby out of that thing, so, mark the time and date right now sister, I’m telling you you’re having another c-section”. After feeling violated and having an anxiety attack, I immediately did everything I needed to do to switch back to midwives and successfully had an 8lb+ VBAC after that. Don’t listen to these creeps who are in it for the c-section money and don’t actually give a crap about you. I complained to the staff, who at least pretended to be very receptive, and even had the office manager follow up with me to say even she went to midwives and this isn’t the first time someone has complained. Yet nothing was done and this man still treats women. Hoe many complaints does it take? How has nothing been done?!

Any good reviews on this Dr are definitely fake or completed by his staff. RUN FAR from his practice. He is negligent, arrogant, and does not follow standard practice. He could care less if you survive your miscarriage and brushes off your concerns. He is incompetent and dangerous. I hope he loses his license after the number of babies that have died in his care.

Do not see this man. He does not listen to you or the other members of his team. He does not care about your opinion, wants or needs, and has no interest in what you are asking or saying. Too worried about going to lunch than making sure you are heard and taken care of. Ruined my life because he couldn't be bothered to go make another phone call, to really hear me or compromise when there was nothing wrong other than the fact that he didn't care at all what I wanted or the other members of his team were saying/suggesting. His way or the highway, with no consideration for what you've been through, are asking or saying. I should've had a say but he is not interested in giving you one.

I wrote about Dr.Labuda and forgot to say how good Dana is who works as his nurse. Dana has always been nice,and puts u at ease..and is adiment about returning yr calls..she is a great asset.

Dr. Labuda doesn’t not take the time to get to know his patients. I visited him after a trip to the ER where i was told i most likely have a ruptured ovarian cyst. He just pushed birth control at me. He did not ask my symptoms or even if i was feeling better after my ER trip. He told me to take birth control and left the room after not even two minutes.

If I could give my experience no stars, I would. I usually see a woman dr. in the Sewickley office but was just going for a problem with my birth control so I was open to seeing anyone. The nurse had asked me about why I was there and passed the message onto Labuda. He didn’t care to ask me questions or ask me about the problems I was having. When I mentioned that I wanted to look at a different form of birth control and recommended one that I was interested in, he disregarded my interest and told me about a different form instead, which I have no interest in, and he basically told me that’s the better option. But said this to me without asking me any questions. Was there for less than 10 min. He was rude and I would never see him again. After reading reviews and having my own experience, thank god I didn’t have an exam with him. Should have looked into it before I went.

I switched to Dr. LaBuda after a female doctor in the same practice made an inappropriate remark to me during an exam years ago. I personally appreciate his sense of humor and personality - it helps to calm my anxieties and lighten the mood a little during exams. When I have questions or concerns, he is extremely professional and takes time to address them, which helps to put my mind at ease!!

i went in for an appointment,first time seeing bryan labuda. i have anxiety really bad and at the time i wasn't doing so well because my fiance had to work and couldn't go to the appointment with me. the doctor rushed the whole time and then had the nerve to say 'come on, you're more flexible than that' as i was getting my cervix checked and my legs weren't open enough. really unprofessional i felt violated afterwards, in fact he did nothing at all to comfort as a doctor should. terrible experience

I have been going to this practice for over 20 years. Dr. Labuda delivered my second child 15 years ago and I have continued to see him since. I have been extremely pleased with him. He is always thoughtful and professional and friendly. He absolutely listens when I have concerns. I recommend him to everyone. I see him in the Sewickley Office.

Dr. Labuda is very unprofessional and has this pompous attitude that can get old really quickly. We wait and wait and wait to get in for our appointment, but he spends no more than a minute or two with you. After 10 years, I had enough of him and his arrogance.

Dr. Labuda is caring and has the best personality.

I typically only see women OBGYN's but, because I was new to the area (and had been with the same practice for 7 years in another state) and none of the women were available, so I saw Dr. LaBuda. He was rude and dismissive. He was obviously in a rush, and made little attempt to listen to my concerns or address them. When I mentioned in the past that I had taken a certain medication when dealing with an ovarian cyst that ruptured - he said he wouldn't write me a script for it - which I wasn't asking. It was confusing and awful. Anyone who has seen a GOOD doctor would have been appalled. I left, cried, and vowed that I would never see a male OBGYN again.

Dr. Labuda's office staff made me an appointment & got me into the Moon office in just a few days. I was very pleased with his bed side manor & he made me feel at ease. I do not enjoy doctor visits; especially gynecological but his knowledge & professionalism made me feel confident. The second appointment in Sewickley was also a comfortable experience & I am grateful that he decided to do a follow up test to rule out any long term medical problems. I would not hesitate to recommend him . on a scale of 1 to 10 he deserves a 10.

Recently I asked my teenage daughter about starting to see a gynecologist for well-woman checkups. She preferred to see a male doctor, and we could not have asked for a better practitioner. We all know how scary, daunting and embarrassing the checkup can seem, especially on your first time as a self-conscious teenager. Our appointment with Dr Labuda was prompt, courteous and professional. He was very mindful of modesty and bedside manner, acting promptly and professionally, and explaining each part of the exam as he worked.

I am appalled at the critical reviews of Dr. Labuda. He has been my obgyn for six years now, He delivered my daughter five years ago, and recently, my stillborn son. He was caring and compassionate through the whole terrible ordeal. He was direct and thorough with his explanation of what would happen and what could happen while I delivered my baby. He even sent me a sympathy card after I was home from the hospital. As far as regular appointments, his bedside manner is humorous and personable, which is refreshing. While completing exams, he gets down to business, talks briefly, and finishes up. If you have questions and concerns, he answers them, if not, he is on his way.

Dr. Labuda is an excellant doctor. I have delivered 3 children with him. I had complicated pregnacies and he was right there to help us through it. After my pregnacies he also preformed 3 different surgeries. I have felt really comfortable and confident with Dr. Labuda. He knew exactly what to do in tough situations. He is a complete gentleman with his bedside manners. He is great!

I cannot believe those negative comments about Dr Labuda. He has always given me the time I need at appointments to ask all and any questions I may have. When I had my much needed surgery he NEVER talked to me about what my insurance would and would not cover, I spoke to the insurance clerk who was very personable and kind to me. Everybody has a bad day but in all the years that I have been seeing Dr Labuda I have never seen that side of him.

This guy is a horrible doctor. He does not listen to his patients, and at times is very inappropriate and rude. Avoid this guy at all costs.

I read through some of the negative comments made regarding Bryan Labuda and cannot believe they were referring to MY doctor. Dr. Labuda is NOT looking to perform unnecessary surgery. In fact, I was hoping he WOULD do surgery with my cysts. It's an unnecessary surgery and he explained just why that was the case. As for the woman making the comment that she felt "assulted" when she had a rectal exam...have you never been to a gynecologist before? He was NOT assulting you, he was examining you and looking out for your health and well-being. Dr. Labuda is straight forward with his answers to my questions and he answers them completely. I had to have an endometrial biopsy once, performed by him, and I never felt a thing. I heard horror stories of the pain involved before the procedure was done. He's a great doctor and knows what he's doing and I respect him. Maybe he doesn't spend an hour holding your hand during an appointment, but guess what...his time is important as is mine. I can tell you, if I ever need to have surgery, I would not want any other surgeon but Dr. Bryan Labuda.
