I have seen Dr. Smith for back pain/hip pain for at least 3 years. He has put me on medication that is extremely helpful and gives me a steroid shot once a year. So far, these procedures have worked for me when therapy and exercises at home have not proven helpful. His bedside manner is professional yet friendly at the same time. He has a sense of humor and puts me at ease. He tells me what he's doing and what I'm feeling when giving me a steroid shot in my lower back. This helps to alleviate my anxieties throughout the procedure.

Dr. Smith gave me my first epidural shot in the back. It was so excruciating that I cried for months after whenever a spoke about it. The second shot I received from another doctor last week was a piece of cake-minor discomfort and no pain. Smith either didn't use enough anesthesia and/or hit the nerve. I'd never let him near me again.
