Should not be practicing! Would not even forward our records to our new doctor! Almost lost my life twice under her care when she would not listen or take action to my symptoms!

Dr. Hylwa is certainly the gold standard for all PCP's. She is caring, careful and correct. Dr. Hylwa is always at the top of her game, engaging with her patients and listening to gain the facts with which she is able to correctly diagnose and advise.

I found her to be very caring and took time to ask pertinent questions to properly care for my husband.

Worst doctor I have ever seen. Don’t waste your time. Find a real doctor. She spends so much time talking about herself and when you need help she has no time to see you. She makes her patients feel worse after leaving.

I had liked Dr Hylwa very much until I had an appointment and she received a phone call from her boiler guy, she had no heat at her house and her parents were coming for a visit. So I waited while she was on the phone , then I heard the whole story about what had happened. Which would have been fine except during the visit I asked about what type of medicine to use for hot flashes for my menopause and I got charged an extra $35.00!!!!! So I paid my copay at the time of the visit then received another bill for $35. on top of it. When I called asking why I was being charged I was told it was because I asked a question about menopause and I was there for a physical! WHAT??!!!! How ridiculous is that reasoning??? Isnt that the time to ask about any problems or concerns I had? Really ticked me off especially since I was there an extra half hour while she took her phone call to the boiler guy and then told me all about the situation! Totally turned me off! Will never recommend!

I do not recommend Dr. Hylwa. I've been seeing her for over a year now. I was just diagnosed with Lyme Disease (3rd time). Started to have a lot of trouble with the medication - Got really sick. I called to try and see her, and she basically said nothing was probably wrong and I should be fine to go to school (college). She was very rude and condescending. My mom had to call her office back and tell her it was not appropriate level of care. So instead of seeing my Dr, I went to the ER. Overall terrible experience.

Catherine Hylwa is one of the worst doctors you can ever have , with her husband, James Bucci, coming in second.... Rude, cruel ,and very uncaring. No follow ups, no return phone calls no getting back to you with test results. Gave it so many tries of trying to find the good in these doctors...if you value your health and life, do not go to these doctors. The staff is rude , and very un-professional. If these doctors cannot feed you medicine, they cast you aside and neglect you. We are definitely looking for another doctor.

Dr Hylwa is prompt and accurate in her diagnosis, every time. She keeps tract of every shot or booster that is needed and every screening that is important. She is also a very practical doctor, weighing the need for a test before prescribing. She's simply the best doctor I have ever, in 65 years, had.

Only thinks about themselves. Quantity over quality. Poor bedside manner. I wish I had read these reviews before I switched doctors because they are valid. Dr's should care about patients as individuals, I never felt like an individual at that practice.

She is such a wonderful and caring doctor. She always has time for you. You never feel rushed and she listens to what you are saying. She is A+

First visit so caring and funny, at the second visit and thereafter NOT caring at all. She has been my Dr for over 4 years now and she has NO bedside manner. Everything i tell her she eaither makes fun of or ignores it. I had blood taken because of dizzness/nausousness and other concerning problems that have been going on for a while this past tuesday. so i've been waiting to hear back from my bld wk results and was told by my dr she would have them in LATEST by thursday and would call me before the wkd..i have been waiting by my cell all day(friday) so a little after 2 i called and asked what time the dr usually calls patients to discuss the results. she told me when she recieves them she will call THAT DAY, and asked if i have been waiting for results and i explained that yes i was. she asked me what the best # would be to reach me was and told me she was going to check if they were in. I DIDNT ask her to nor did i ask for her to leave a messege for the dr. i was very polite and she was also. dr HYLWA calls me back 1 min later. i say "hello". she says "first off don't EVER call me and interupt my afternoon appts again". i said "sorry?" she said that all my results were neg thankfully and then repeated to never call her again when she told me she would call me..i was speechless..no how are you doing, no recommendations what to do next. so all i said after she finished yelling was have a great wkd and she all fake like said you too! and i hung up on her. i felt so dumb and hurt but at the same time i felt angry with her that she was so mean. i didn't want to miss her call and then not have her get back to me until monday. My sister also had blood work taken over 1 month ago and still has not heard back from HYLWA..when she told her she would call her and discuss what the next steps would be if her blood came back normal. my sister called her to discuss and to try and get another appt b/c she felt so sick..they told my sister they could see her in a couple of weeks!! Would NOT recommend this dr

Because of my health and the health of family members, I have met more doctors than most people I know. In all these years I've met some wonderful doctors and some terrible ones, but I have never met a single one as poor as Dr. Hylwa. What is so scary is that I chose her as my PCP because my first meeting with her was so positive; she seemed kind, knowledgeable, funny and caring.Once she became my PCP, she either had a complete personality change or just did an excellent job acting. She is a cruel and angry doctor who's bedside manner is atrocious. Not a single time in my life gave I felt compelled to review a doctor, but my experience witches after a year was so terrible that I felt obligated to warn others. Dr. Hylwa is either very low-IQ or extremely cruel, perhaps both.Be aware that she will be the kindest person at your first meeting, only to change completely thereafter. I had several occasions with her and her office (most of the employees, with the exception of maybe two were also unpleasant) that at best could be called "miscommunications" and at worst (and more honestly) could be called out-right lies - concerning missed or cancelled appointments, rx refills, etc. I am very lucky in that it took me only a few weeks to switch to another doctor. Be very wary!!
