Dr. Chad Allen Reed, DO

Dr. Reed performed both of my total knee replacements. He was clear and concise with his explanation of what the procedure, methodology, and his role as well as what my role in the surgery and recovery phase was to be. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my and my husband's questions. This behavior has continued from pre to post operative. I am a nurse by background and this man knew his business with an added bonus that he has a bedside manner. When doing my background check on him before deciding to choose him as my surgeon of choice I had the honor to speak with some of the ortho nurses who work in the acute hospital and have taken care of his patients. The nurses that I spoke with spoke highly of him and told me that his patients were given the best of care and treatment from him.

Can't say enough about Dr. Reed and his asst. Rachel.. He performed total shoulder replacement on my 89 yr old mother. Very personable, takes his time to answer all questions and surgery went well. I would recommend him without any reservations. I would see him again for future orthopedic needs, but hoping none are needed.

I was told I had a SLAP tear. There was not a doctor in my town that did the surgery for a full repair. I was referred to Dr. Reed. As with anyone I had never had any major surgery and had no idea of what to expect. So with a bunch of questions in my head and my wife with hers we headed to his office for consultation. He was ahead of us and told us exactly what was going to happen from pre surgery to post operation check up. He was spot on on all of it. I figured I would have more pain after surgery than I did but the pain was nagging but minimal. I had 4 anchors put in and three days after surgery I only used the meds to sleep at night. He is straight forward and tells you what's gonna happen. That's what I look for. Someone to shoot me straight. On top of this I do want to mention his surgical staff at Southview Hospital in Dayton was great even after I got a little rude with one of them after surgery. My over all experience has left me happy and I would not change a single thing through out my entire process. So a big thank you to him and his staff as well as his Assistant. I am healing well and hope this helps others.
