Dr. Prodromos is an orthopedic specialist by trade. However, since the COVID outbreak began, in his email newsletter to clients, he begins to weigh in about infections disease and epidemiology. Neither of which he has a background in, which becomes obvious when you read them. He has continuously mislead his patients and downplayed the the risks of the disease. He has continuously promoted unproven drugs before reliable clinical data has been produced to support such claims. This is most evident with his feverish belief that Hydroxychloroquine was a beneficial treatment for COVID. Since he made this claim early in the outbreak, the FDA has revoked the emergency use authorization of Hydroxychloroquine after several blinded, placebo controlled, randomized studies showed the use was ineffective in treating the disease and had potentially serious side effects. Most of your patients are not medical experts in and take you at your word. Adhear to the hipocratic oath and stay in your lane.
Went to see Dr. Prodromus for my right shoulder and right wrist. This doctor has valuable knowledge concerning the body. I was so pleased with what he instructed me to do, my shoulder is much better and I know that my wrist will improve within weeks . He's a doctor that believes in natural medicine and I love it. He's not a doctor who write prescriptions just because. Dr Prodromus has the best staff especially Laura.
WARNING: The rating should be -0- due to the danger of seeking help from a doctor whose exams are invasively damaging. I walked in with ease, and prior to the visit was able to walk at least 3 miles at a stretch without difficulty. By the time I left the practice I couldn't make it to my car a mere 25 yards from the entrance. I turned around and requested a Disabled sign for my car having just then sustained a disabling condition during Dr. Chad's aggressive exam. They refused and didn't offer to help me back to my car. To this day, almost 5 months later I cannot walk more than five minutes and must limit standing. Sitting is also uncomfortable. Let me explain how the exam went: First he never read my history (which I had no time to complete) and he didn't observe the three X-rays until I asked him to. He saw nothing significant in the hip joints except the usual aging process. I was about to leave after the spiel he gave, but Dr. Chad asked me to get on the X-ray glass table (there was no padding to cushion my bony spine). Before I could settle in, to find a comfortable way, with my body twisted he immediately took my right leg with two hands to lift and bend my knees up as far as it could go against my belly. As he pressed on the knee he forcefully pushed my leg beyond my normal range of motion into a circular movement. I begged him not to do the same with the left leg but he instantly did anyway. I yelped in pain and could barely get off the glass table top and dress myself. When I paid my portion of the bill he came out of a room from another patient and seemed rather nervous and offered to refer me to another type of doctor, but then said I wouldn't be able to afford them anyway. I have notified some chiropractors and friends about the devastating treatment I endured. My primary doctor suspects that Dr. Chad had caused bleeding in my groin area from where all my pain derives accompanied by spasms and burning sensations. I soon thereafter wrote Dr. Chad a letter to which he never responded. What kind of doctor is he?

Dr Prodromos was fantastic. Explained everything patiently. went for the least invasive procedures. I didn't need any surgery. His therapist Angelo Dizon was also great. Again, patient, ready to explain and both have a wonderfully friendly "bedside" manner. I can say the same of the office staff and nurses. And to top it it off, my knee feels great. Thanks!
From the moment I walked in the office, I felt welcome, and could see the competence and professionalism of the staff. Dr Prodromos was thorough, informative, and honest in his assessment of my need or lack of need for surgery. I accepted his recommendation to delay surgery on my wrist and to alter my physical activity routine to let my wrist heal on its own, The staff treated me like family and I left with confidence that I had received the best care possible.
Dr. Prodromos was excellent in repairing my 2 centimeter tear in my rotater cuff. He planned on a hour and a half surgery & once he was in found that the the shoulder was shredded also & that did not show up on the MRI. He repaired all of that taking the hour and a half to a 4 hour surgery well into late in the evening. His post op directions are different from others & much appreciated by myself. For example no sling is needed to be worn. Physical therapy is delayed being started for 6-8 weeks for healing rather than starting soon after surgery as many I have talked to as well as no weight was to be added to movement past 45 degrees of my arms extension. ATI PT techs were baffled at these requirements he put in the prescription. I have heard that the surgery & its recovery is very very painful, I have been pleased with my recovery & 6 months after surgery I have full range of movement with little or no pain. Recovery & healing is expected to continue for the next year & a half & I look forward to a complete recovery of strength with out pain. I traveled 4-5 hours round trips for appointments & was very pleased with my on time visits & his patient care communications. He is the BEST.
The doctor used platelet rich plasma in my right shoulder. He also recommended Tylenol instead of NSAIDs which has helped me heal. I no longer have pain in my right shoulder. No surgery necessary!
Dr. Chadwick C. Prodromos, Orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, is one of the most remarkable physicians I have ever had the pleasure of seeing for professional services. His depth of research, analysis, and tread-setting treatments and presentation of findings to other medical professionals is phenomenal. He has written a heavily-illustrated tome—perhaps the “Bible” for Orthopedic physicians and surgeons--on the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament; i.e., a critical knee ligament). I speak from a nursing educational background, so I am not a complete novice. I highly recommend Dr. Prodromos for orthopedic and sports injuries, if for no other reason to get a second opinion on less-invasive or other choices you may have before starting treatment.
Dr. Prodromos is highly knowledgeable and is passionate about his medical field. He and his staff are friendly and efficient. I have been going to his office for the past 3 months to treat a knee injury, and am relieved to report I am pain-free. I would highly recommend him!
Dr Prodromos is a top notch orthopaedic doctor. He has a conservative approach and does not rely on surgery until it is necessary. He takes time to explain your condition and the options you have.
Dr. Prodromos is a fantastic orthopedic surgeon! He clearly is the best surgeon you could have. I had rotator cuff surgery 8-2016...very petrified to have done because of low tolerance for pain. My post-op was fantastic...virtually no pain. He is a caring and concerned doctor, is cutting edge on what he does (which is what you want in a surgeon!) and has invested much in keeping that cutting edge in his field! My experience with Dr. Prodromos was nothing but great! I was so impressed with his ability and knowledge that I will recommend him to anyone.
Two weeks ago, Dr. Prodromos reformed PRP with laser, on my left knee. I can't believe how good it feels. I was unable to walk without pain, prior to the treatment. Now, I almost forget that there is a problem with the left knee. About 16 months ago, he did regular PRP on my right knee and it's been fine ever since. I'm truly grateful to Dr. pajamas. He's truly a fine doctor, patient and understanding. Thank you Dr. Prodromos.
Good at communicating with & treating both white & blue collars.
I was referred to Dr. Prodromos after another orthopedic surgeon said I needed a shoulder replacement. Dr. Prodromos recommended 2 PRP injections over a couple of months. The improvement has been dramatic. My range of motion is significantly increased while the pain level is way down. Prior to the treatment, I could not sleep on my left side and during the day had a constant dull ache in my shoulder. The constant pain is now gone after the PRP therapy and I can even sleep on my left side, something I hadn't been able to do for at least 5 years.
I went to see Dr. Prodromos because he came highly recommended in terms of successful ACL Reconstructions. Like many others, I was extremely terrified of what this would look like in terms of recovery and what I would be able to do again. After my initial meeting with Dr. Prodromos I decided to schedule my surgery date for April. However, his assistant scheduled me during his vacation time and I had to postpone my surgery a few weeks. The surgery itself went great and Dr. Prodromos found that my ACL was completely torn as opposed to what he thought was a partial tear. The following months were nerve wrecking, painful, stressful, and I felt very unmotivated because I felt like I wasn't progressing much. My therapists at Illinois Masonic would talk to me about other surgeon's protocols and what their recovery looked like and I felt like I would never get there because Dr. Prodromos wanted to ensure that I didn't strain my graph and tear it. I am just about six months post-opt and after all my physical therapy and Dr. Prodromos' advice I have officially graduated and no longer have to see my therapists. I am still very limited in physical activity but now I understand why I should take my time and let it heal properly. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Prodromos for ACL injuries.
I chose Dr. Prodromos because of his medical background and surgical expertise. He accurately diagnosed my issue (two doctors did not). Immediately following my surgery, I could feel the difference in my shoulder, arm and wrist. I appreciate that he conducts research and knows the current research related to orthopedic treatments. I was confident that I selected the best doctor and surgeon.
Fixed my knee when other doctors were too afraid. I would recommend him to anyone with crazy joints!
It worked for me.It is nice to minimize discomfort in an easy manner.Thank you.
Dr. Prodromos was very thorough and professional in all the dealings we had concerning my knee problem. He presented alternative treatments and explained how each might proceed as we tried them. I finally needed surgery and Dr. Prodromos explained the surgery and recovery period very thoroughly. The recovery period took a shorter time that anticipated and I am grateful to Dr. Prodromos and the rehab therapist for their wonderful work. I strongly recommend Dr. Prodromos for anyone in need of orthopedic work.
