Dr. Charles Wayne Hartzog, MD

Great medical office, wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. Appreciate Dr. Hartzog taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options. Dr. Hartzog was a wonderful surgeon, and the staff was always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. Was referred over by my general doctor and can see why. Highly recommended.

In and out on time and plan was set in place and friendly staff and Dr. Hartzog offered a couple of plans and suggestions. Very calming. Great experience.

Dr. Hartzog is absolutely the best doctor in Montgomery!!! Love him!!! He’s so easy not only to talk to but I could just sit and stare at him all day long!! He fixed my knee best he could due to it being over ran with arthritis. I go get shots every three months and today he said next time we would do gel shots!! Like in college??? No, like in the knees!! This will last up to about nine months. I wish every doctor out there was like him!!

Dr. Hartzog is very professional and definitely an expert in his field. I have had two surgeries and both have been very successful. He is very thorough and informative relative to what I needed. He has a very pleasant demeanor that makes you feel comfortable.

Dr. Hartzog fixed both of my knees and just fixed my rotary cuff. I'm very pleased with all of my surgery's.

I am a current workers comp patient. I'm lucky enough to work for a good company. Did I get seen the next day? No. The man is not McDonald's. He is smart. He does care. Ok. Yes he's fast. Talks fast, but you can call a time out and say,,Doc, slow down and give me that in 6th grade terms. The day of surgery, I was praying when he checked on me in preop and he stopped to let me finish. Everything he told me was the truth. He cares. The man knows his business. He's funny and will listen. He not a counselor for all your problems in life, he's a pro and takes care of business, the business of getting you better. He's gentle in surgery. The day after, to be honest, I didn't really need crutches. He's not a meat cutter. Once again, he's funny , he's smart, and treated me with respect, that's because when he walked in for my first visit, he was confident he could fix me. Joke with him. His staff are all pros. Don't be mad at the receptionist. She is not the doctor or nurse. Once you get behind the door, you'll meet the A Team!

Getting the appointment with Dr. Hartzog was easy enough, but getting IN to see him rather time consuming. However, the surgery was performed brilliantly, and my recovery/rehab went without a hitch. Follow up visits were sped up considerably, and went without incident. I am very glad I got this done, and had put up with cuff pain for longer than I needed prior.

I waited approximately 3 hours. Has a very defensive attitude. Does not listen. He can not relate to the patient. Always in a hurry. Surgery is money. If he has to do anything else it is not worth his time.

Is not compassionate. Do not question Dr Hartzog, he becomes defensive. You feel like you are being processed through an assembly line. He provides no comfort zone. He does not let you finish or explain things. Bottom Line ... He thinks he is Mr Perfect and you just have a dollar sign on your forehead.

Dr. Hartzog may be the doctor of choice when it comes to private insurance but he is an awful doctor of worker's compensation clients. He takes the least expensive treatment plan possible regardless of the pain and quality of life for the patient. It takes forever to see him and then he rushes in like the mightly wind and speed talk his way through your entire visit. No compassion at all for patients. He knew I needed a knee replacement and decided to do a scope instead. I am so not pleased with his level of care as a physician. The office staff does a terrible job scheduling appointment and no regard is placed on your time. If the staff will do less time talking and more time working maybe they can get pople in and out in a timely manner. If he does not want to treat workmans comp patients he needs to stop accepting them.

wait at the office is two or more hours before getting to see the doctor

1st visit waited over 2 hrs due to inept scheduling by his staff, 2nd visit waited over an hour. No one came into examination room to explain delay. Apparently his ego overrules consideration for people who have to be at work and took time off to WAIT!!! for him.
