Dr. Charles D Hummer, MD

Dr. Hummer was hired by insurance company to write up a denial based on limited medical or ignored medical by him, never examined me just so insurance would deny my claim based on his report.

After numerous appointments, each constantly moved or rescheduled, he quickly ended a drawn out diagnosis with stating it's " Not a skeletal or Musculoskeletal ailment " referring me elsewhere and literally walked out of the room stating he wasn't sure what it was and good luck elsewhere. He never goes over MRIs with patients, but does a rushed overview and minimal motion test each visit. ( Shoulder injury) Turns out my diagnosis was skeletal/muscular and quite severe. I've never been so unprofessionally attended to, ignored by my pain and statements and time. Please avoid at all costs from my experience with a shoulder injury with outlying nerve impingement

I went to Dr. Hummer a few years ago because I was experiencing pain in my hip. He immediately diagnosed my problem and explained different treatments to combat the pain. After exhausting all treatments over the course of a few years I decided that it was time to get a new hip. Prior to surgery, up to surgery, and after surgery Dr. Hummer answered every question that I had (even the ones I asked three times), he is very patient. He and his staff guided me through the process with ease. The biggest thing I like about Dr. Hummer is that he explains all your options and you make the decisions. You are never pushed in any directions. I highly recommend Dr. Hummer and the staff at Premier.

Collar bone still hurts

Myself and members of my family have been long time patients of Dr Hummer we are a sports family, with that comes injures and accidents. My son has had both labarum’s in his shoulders repaired and an ACL tear repaired. All with great success and short recovery. Myself, I had a dislocation in my ankle with multiple fractures while I was in the hospital on his first visit to me he looked at the wrapping of my soft brace he didn’t like the way it was done so he quickly undid the wrapping and redid with new wrappings this was much more comfortable and felt more support of. Dr Hummer explained the injury I had and explain what I needed to do for recovery and also explain what I had to look at in the future with this type of injury. He answered all my questions. After being released from the hospital I visited his office twice each time I needed x-rays he again explain how the healing was progressing and what I needed to do to have a good recovery. I followed his instructions and I have recovered quickly with in 8weeks I was able to walk a mile without any discomfort. Dr Hummer is an excellent Doctor and Surgeon I highly recommend him. Last note In the past I needed a shoulder replacement he referred me to Dr Wolf another excellent Doctor /Surgeon this told me Dr. Hummer acts with what’s best for his patients. Mark Louisignau

No bedside manner to say the least

I had right knee replacement surgery done by Dr. Hummer, and I consider him to be an excellent surgeon and a nice man. After ten days, I was able to go up and down the 15 steps in my home and get around without a walker or a cane. Now three months later, I'm walking very good and pain free. I'm very glad I had this surgery done, and I appreciate Dr. Hummer's expertise and surgical skills.

failed to diagnose and treat foreign body infection from a rusty piece of metal that was leaking pus insisted It was a artifact of imaging whatever that is, if I had not gone somewhere else I may have died. when I informed him of his error he was very rude. good luck if you see him youll need it. maybe he just didnt like me either way not good. I did get the rusty metal removed you were wrong.

Love doc hummer he did my dad, husband and my rotator cuffs all with great results!!

I have waiting 4 weeks for the office to get my medication for my knees. The insurance approved treatment 3 weeks ago. Customer service is not so good
