Dr. Charles Lawton Ogburn, MD

Doctor Ogburn is professional in skill, care and manner. Very direct which I appreciated and concerned which put me at ease. We need knowledgeable and capable physicians. He is a credit to his profession.

Dr. Ogburn repaired my fractured wrist in May. He did an amazing job and I’m back to doing everything I need to do with that wrist. Highly recommend him.

I broke my elbow he was amazing if I break anything else he would be the one I would want to fix it !! He is a amazing doctor I have had no problems whatsoever with my elbow he did a great job!! Thank you Dr Ogburn?? Job well done!!

Dr. Ogburn is amazing! He is the surgeon you never ever want to have to need, but absolutely the only one you want if you need him. Trauma is his specialty and his fixes the impossible! His bedside manner is awesome and he is great with kids!

Dr Ogburn did a great job on my broken leg! I’m healed and my scars don’t even look bad! He cares , he listens and he knows what he is talking about ! Not that I want to see him again but maybe in passing but I am not wanting to break anything ever again lol . Thanks again DOCTOR OGBURN ! :)

Dr. Ogburn patiently listened to my current medical concerns and followed with several questions to further understand my issues and help suggest a treatment plan. He spent time discussing the results from x-rays taken prior to my consult with him. His diagnosis and suggested treatment were, I believe, just what was needed for my physical improvement. Dr. Ogburn has always been very personable and puts you at ease. I respect his knowledge, skill and thoroughness in evaluating my medical needs.

I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Ogburn. He is very professional, he listens to the patient and answers questions thoroughly.

He performed a complicated hip break surgery on me and did an excellent job repairing it! He is very nice and caring.

Dr. Ogburn did a excellent job on my hand. He was really great at removing the pins. I was scared it would hurt but he was right it wasn’t bad at all. Would refer him to anyone with hand issues and would definitely use him again if needed.

My family and I experianced the most uncomfortable, hostile, and unprofessional experience of our lives with Dr. Chip Ogburn. My father broke his knee and came to Piedmont Orthopedic for a check up. Dr. Ogburn came in to let us know that everything was healing good and when he asked if we had any concerns my father told him that where he broke his knee, there are a lot of ticks in that area. He said that there is a pinch and an itch in one place under the cast and asked if we could check for a tick and Dr. Ogburn lost his mind and yelled "I guess we'll have to take the cast off and put on a new one on!!" he then stormed out of the room, and went down the hall yelling to the nurse "Jesus Christ, Mr. Martinez wants us to remove the cast to check for a tick." When the cast was removed and there was no tick, he told my dad "See, no tick, so don't be hiking in the woods when you leave here" (I assume that was sarcasm since my father has a broken knee) he then walked up the hall again yelling "We're good, no tick! There's no tick!" I don't know why he was being so rude and hostile. We never said or did anything back that was rude because it was just so uncomfortable and did not know what to expect. Do not use Dr. Ogburn if you do not want to be disrespected or harassed while looking for treatment.

When bad luck strikes, your luck changes instantly for the better when Dr. Ogburn is your surgeon. Can’t ask for a better doctor for trauma injuries.

After a bad fall on Easter evening, I was rushed to Athens Trauma unit for evaluation. I had destroyed (I thought) my left radius, ulna, elbow, and humerus. Dr. Ogburn came in that night to see me. Having already seen the x-ray (and felt the bone coming out of my skin), I realized that I had done a job on it. He simply looked at the x-ray, then looked at me and said. "I'll fix it". As someone who uses their arms and hands a lot (I am a chiropractor), you have no idea how that eased my fears. Fast forward...4 weeks later I have 90% range of motion in my arm and almost no pain. When I show the post-x-rays to other doctors, all I hear is, "That guy is an artist". I am forever grateful to Dr. Ogburn and everyone else who helped me get through the most physically painful few days of my life. Thank you, Dr. Obburn and your staff.

Great job! In a busy environment was very prompt but very professional and informative. I'd say the best in this part of the country. Know so many he's done work for and not one negative comment. Thanks Dr. Ogburn for all you've done for me.
