Dr. Charles Heberton Machell, MD

Had simple pacemaker surgery, ended up with collapsed lung 4 days later.admitted he had punctured it,was sent to emergency said i was lucky i hadn't died.He did not even show up for appointment he scheduled.ER Dr had to call all over to even find him

I've been visiting Dr. Machell since 2005. I've been satisfied every time I see him. I would recommend him to anyone.

My course of treatment for Afib, now 5 years along, has gone smoothly. No symptoms since an ablation 4.5 years ago. Besides being a doctor who gets results, Dr. Machell is simply a very nice guy who speaks plain English about medicine. I have a high level of confidence in him and the staff at South Texas Cardiovascular Consultants.

Everything from start to finish was super. the staff of Doctor Machell was also great., It was a very good experience. I would recommend any body to this fine Doctor.

I have such faith in Dr. Machel. He has literally given back my life! He improved my quality of life. He is so wonderful! Outstanding professionalism, gifted, skilled, compassionate, Godly man are all descriptions of his character! I don't even mind the wait, because I remember he was there for me in my time of need....I figure is seeing somebody is worse off than me!

Doctor very attentive, staff easy to work with and responsive. The billing department however is slow in posting payments so that their statements are always inaccurate and it is time consuming to call and straighten out my account.

Dr Machell is, and has been a great EP Physician. HOWEVER, Getting appointment with him is ALWAYS several months out. I feel fortunate if I call the office for an appointment, and I am given one less than 4-6 months away. The quality of the physician is a moot point when you can't see him.

He was thoughtful and forward concerning my defibrillator. He explained about the changes in the device that will be put in next year, and something minor that he will be doing. I would and have referred friends and family to him.

Will keep seeing doc Machell as long as he will keep me as a patient, Mike was a great help and stays on top of everything. All of the staff on the follow up visits were great also, over all a great team!

Dr. Machell placed my pacemaker in 2007, I believe. He must have done a very good job because I have had no problems and I am getting along just fine. (I am 84 years old.) I've certainly never had any incidents that could ever be attributed to my pacemaker. I have seen him since then on a regular basis and I feel that my care has been proper and of a very diligent nature. I couldn't ask for a kinder, more caring doctor than Dr. Machell. I'm very happy that he is my physician.
