Dr. Charles Patrick Virden, MD

My experience was not from Dr Virden himself but it was with his “Thereapellets” a.k.a. “Bioidentical Hormones”. While they did originally bring me a great deal of relief from menopause, what they’ve caused in my body has turned in to a complete nightmare. I have been a patient in his office for over 2 years, paying $350 out of pocket for every dose of hormones I received. In the beginning, I felt great, but I have been chasing that feeling unsuccessfully for many months now. What they’ve caused is for me, at 54 years of age, is to end up with fibroids (muscular tumors) in/on my uterus. These fibroids, combined in size, are bigger than my actual uterus and have been causing me major issues with my bladder, horrible back pain and post menopausal bleeding. I came to find out that women my age do not get fibroids & that they were caused by the estrogen in the pellets. The last time I was in his office the woman who puts the pellets in decided to only use the testosterone pellet because of all of the problems with the post menopausal bleeding I had been experiencing. I literally bled every day for over 2 months! Now, having too much testosterone in my body has caused me to have HORRIBLE ACNE on my face, neck, chest & back, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my life! I have also gained THIRTEEN POUNDS with no dietary changes and am now having strange irregular heartbeats. I am going to have to have the fibroids surgically removed in the near future and my health insurance only covers 40% of the procedure. I am the proof of what can happen to someone after using these Therapellets and let me tell you, this has been a HORRIFIC nightmare to have to go through. And it’s not over yet. And to think I was paying $350 every 3 months of my hard earned money to end up like this makes me sick. My thyroid Dr warned me that I could end up with tumors & extra facial hair but I didn’t listen to her and boy, do I regret it!! I want the truth to be known. These are NOT SAFE TO USE. Beware and don’t waste your money. I feel like such a fool. I have never had surgery before this and now I get to pay the other 60% out of pocket to fix the mess I’ve allowed them to make of my body. I suggest you look in to other options before you end up like me.

Dr. Virden did my breast augmentation over 14 years ago and he did a phenomenal job! I got so many complements on the placement and size. A few months ago, I determined it was time to get them out. He is the ONLY surgeon in Northern Nevada that will remove implants via the En Bloc removal method (it takes the most skilled and dedicated surgeon to do this method). I am so happy that I choose him to remove them. He assured me that I didn't need a lift, and he was correct. I couldn't be happier with my results and his whole team. They all treated me like family through the whole process. I would never go anywhere else!

I'm a breast cancer survivor and had Dr Virden remove my reconstruction because I had breast implant illness. I was very sick, and could barely leave the house. He seemed great when I interviewed him (I went to two others for a consultation). He was funny and kind, and believed me that I was sick. I told him several time that I wanted to keep the implants after they came out, and he agreed. When I was in the recovery room after surgery, my worried husband asked how I was. Dr. Virden made a crude, insensitive joke about me being flat now (as I'd had a double mastectomy). He also threw my implants in the trash, and was very defensive about it when I asked him for them. He didn't put drains in after the surgery, so a week later my chest had filled with fluid and it looked like I had breasts again. I was confused. When I went to see him for my postop, he again made horrible jokes about my chest, to my face this time. He then announced that he was going to have to put drains in while I was awake and manually empty my chest. After it was done, I was lying on my back on the table in his office crying. He jovially slaps his hand down on my newly drained breast and says, 'NOW you're flat!'. It was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, and I've had cancer. I had a breakdown shortly afterwards.

Dr. Virden is truly the best out there. He’s extremely knowledgeable, educated, honest, and makes you feel completely comfortable. His staff are so nice and helpful. Aleah is amazing for Botox! Virden not only explains everything throughly, he patiently answers every question, and truly listens to how you want your body to look. I’m so in love with my results and would recommend him over and over again!

Breast reduction (insurance covered). Excellent pre-op consult and explanations to all my many questions. Office staff were all super friendly and helpful. Dr. Virden’s quality of work is amazing and he has a great bedside manner. Not a combo you find among those who are experts in their field. All I wanted was relief from back pain and the weight minimized... the fact that my chest looks better than ever is an absolute dream. Follow up appts have been quick and easy. Love that he wants to see me in 3 more months to ensure all is healing perfectly. Thanks for everything:)

Let me begin by saying, from start to finish, this office is the BEST experience I have ever had in a medical environment. Dr. Virden and his staff are truly a cut above the rest - you'd be hard pressed to get better treatment. I feel that I could not have been in better hands or had better results or care and follow up anywhere else. I have had so many people who have had cosmetic surgery themselves, compliment me on mine and say they wish their results were as perfect. I so highly recommend!

I saw Dr Virden for breast augmentation and mini tummy tuck. He saw me promptly and was able to perform the surgery within a few weeks of my initial appointment. Dr. Virden is one of the most professional, caring individuals. He truly cares about his patients. I was most impressed with his honesty when I asked him about a procedure I wanted. I've gone to Dr Virden since the year 2000, and he and his staff are by far the most friendly Doctor's office I've personally ever visited. I felt right at home each visit. Doctor makes you feel comfortable with your appointments and before surgery which is very important! I also have loved my results each time. BIG THUMBS UP!

I couldn't be happier with my entire experience. From my very first consultation Dr. Virden and his entire staff were wonderful. I was very nervous to get a breast augmentation. Dr. Virden made me feel at ease and was very professional. He gave me a lot of information about what I was getting myself into and was very honest.
