Dr. Christine Natalie Savage, MD

It has been an honor having Dr. Christine N. Savage as my Rheumatologist. She is an exceptional physician. I have been her patient for 18-19 years. Not only has she been my treating physician for my Lupus but she has been taking care of me as a whole person. Lupus has so many components and effects every body system in many different ways. Lupus affects everyone differently. It takes a very experienced Rheumatologist to pick up all of those aspects of the disease and how they relate to each other. She looks at everything and I mean everything. She has a wonderful bed side manner. She is very professional, caring, and tender but when it’s time to be firm and help you fight for your life she is right there on your side seeing you through. I would go as far as I would need to be seen by her. Thank you Dr. Savage it’s been an honor.

She can be firm during those times but that’s what you need … someone who would fight for you. I had been sick for many years and it was frustrating but unfortunately that is the story of lupus. Sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down. Sometimes you are down not doing well for a very very long time. Dr. Savage never gave up on me. I was so ill that I had to go on chemo even when I didn’t want to, out of fear. Dr. Savage’s only focus was to do no harm and to help save my life and she did. And so I went on chemo. Lupus is a monster of a disease. If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t be here. She is a serious doctor but that’s what you would want someone with a great deal of education and experience who is focused on getting you to wellness. Sometimes it’s hard for us to accept what is happening because we don’t understand it and Dr. Savage is right there with you. I can’t thank her enough. I know I didn’t make it easy for her at times when she was trying to help me but she didn’t give up on me during those trying times. She knew it was out of fear. So much has happened over the many years. I’m a completely different person today because of her. There is no cure for lupus but because of her my quality of life has improved. I’m alive today because of her. I know this and I’ll never forget it. She is an exceptional doctor and human. Thank you Dr. Savage it’s been an honor.

Dr. Savage has the patience of a saint. She is extremely thorough. She took her time. Her staff is amazing. Sophia is a godsend. Absolutely love Dr. Savage. She listened to me when my prior rheumatologist told me I would have to live in pain. I am so glad I found her. I highly recommend this physician, she truly cares about her patients.

My wife "Lizette Marquez" been waiting for a call back for over 2 months for her FMLA paperwork.. Gets the runaround every time we call. Left several messages for the office manager to call back... still waiting. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

I totally agree with all the five star reviews given to Dr. Savage. I have only seen her once but that is enough to conclude I am in very good hands.

Bad billing bad ethics bad experience no help

This woman has zero compassion and complains angrily about UM while trying to get you to follow her to another practice. Never called me with my test results ,made highly inappropriate comments to me. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy

You have to wait 4 months to get an appointment. Doesn't matter whats wrong with you. they just don''t care.

Dr. Savage was the fourth rheumatologist I saw regarding my rheumatoid arthritis. It had gotten so bad that I was unable to sleep on my sides due to extreme pain in my shoulders that kept me up at night. I would often wake up from sleep with tears in my eyes wishing it would stop. Other areas and joints were effected as well and I seemed to be having a flare up every 10-12 days! The Doctors I saw before her were all the same. Looking to switch me from Plaquenill to stronger medications, keeping me on prednisone and adding higher doses. Trying to force methotrexate on me even though I’m currently in child bearing age. I finally reached out to my Primary Care Physician to see if he could recommend a rheumatologist. He suggested I see Dr. Savage and my life has been better ever since. During my initial meeting with Dr. Savage, I could tell she really cares about her patients. She went over my medical history in full detail. She wanted to know everything not just the symptoms I was dealing with at that moment. During our visit she suggested we hold off on switching my meds and suggested we try tumeric first. Long story short I did and I haven’t had a flare since!! It’s amazing that the 3 other rheumatologist I saw prior never suggested this. I can sleep on my sides again, I don’t wake up from my sleep anymore in pain, I can work out at the gym again. It’s all thanks to Dr. Christine Savage! I’m so glad she’s my doctor.

I have told Dr. Savage, that she became a Doctor just to treat me. She is extremely knowledgable, patient and understanding. Absolutely the best Doctor I have seen in my lifetime. Dr. Savage does much more then treating my Psoriatic Arthritis, she treats me as a person and takes her time at every visit. DR. Savage definitely takes care of my medical condition, but also helps me deal with it. I could not go thru this without her guidance.

Caring, detailed and priceless

Dr. Savage is kind and patient. She listens and asks questions. I felt she really cared about helping and was quite knowledgeable.

Not only can I talk openly and at ease with her, but she's one smart lady with both compassion and knowledge, I feel I finally found a really great doctor. You will too.

Dr. Savage expresses genuine concern, she listens to me and treats me with kindness and respect. She does her best to treat my various and ever changing symptoms and orders tests accordingly. She will recommend other doctors to treat problems that are out of her area of expertise. As busy as she is, I have never felt rushed. Her administrative assistant and the entire staff is professional, the best!

I am disappointed, wrong diagnosis

Dr Savage is a caring and thorough doctor who sincerely cares about her patients.

Very hard to get in to see with a problem. Very poor response from office staff with concerns.

Not at all what I expected after reading prior reviews. I was disappointed by her unwillingness to see the whole picture and treat accordingly.

Still remember the first time I went to see Dr. Savage. I thought Oh, Lord she is too young and pretty. Hope she understand me and can help me. I was almost walking on feet and hands and was in great pain, and no desire to live, because was very depressed with my R.A. immune disease. The pain was eating me alive and could not walk or do anything. Was taking lots of pain killers day and night. I had moved from Miami to Deerfield Beach and needed a new doctor. Crying all the way and alone, was taking 2 trains and a bus without being able to walk to get to my old doctor. Felt like dying, and had no one to help. I needed a doctor asap in Deerfield, did not want to go to Miami anymore. Her name was given to me by someone at the Arthritis foundation. I went to see her and right away she send me for labs and knew what to do and what to give me and with the right drugs I have greatly progressed and now I can do most things I could not do. I live alone and so I am very greatful and happy to be pain free most the time, and to be able to take care of myself. Of course this being a progressive disease I know the drugs only work a few years until they need be changed and upgraded but I understand this and take one day at a time. I pray there is always a new drug so when I need it. She is the best. Hope she stays at Sylvester at Deerfield for many more years to come. I have been with her now for like 7 years. She is great, she is nice, listens to me and her assistant practitioner is just as nice. They are awesome! And Sylvester is also Awesome, the greatest place to go for all immune treatments they provide. Thanks a Million,
