Dr. Good performed 2 cervical spine surgeries on me and missed a serious, common post-op complication after the first surgery (2014), pseuoarthrosis (lack of fusion), which caused me years of pain and suffering. I am now recovering from major revision cervical spine surgery which was done at the Mayo Clinic earlier the year by a top neurosurgeon due to Dr. Good's negligent and poor care. (Neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic is #1 in the U.S.) He also didn't return my phone calls when I called several times regarding my worsening pain. Avoid Virginia Spine Institute. I am so grateful for the excellent care I received from Dr. Christopher Good and the Virginia Spine Institute! From the moment I made the initial call regarding my injury to the time I was discharged from care, every interaction with Dr. Good and all of the employees I encountered was of the highest quality. The physical space in Reston has breathtaking views of the surrounding area, the reception staff is extremely efficient and PAs and Dr. Good directed my care in an empathetic and efficient manner. It was the most well coordinate medical practice I have ever seen!

Went in for a second opinion about surgery and I learned a lot., It turns out that the laser surgery I was thinking about getting won't work or last. I knew it was too good to be true. Dr. Good explained my options and I am going to follow his advice to "get it fixed right the first time!"

I have been dealing with a bad back ever since I had a herniated disk surgery years ago. I have always been told there is nothing else to do but take pills. Dr. Good has the first to offer a fusion to treat my pain and after 3 months from surgery, he was right. I had a 2 step surgery to remove my disk and use a robot to fuse the bones together. I am finally on the road to recovery!

Dr. Good is caring, compassionate and takes his time to thoroughly explain how he will treat you and answer any questions you may have.

Had fusion surgery on l4 and l5 and was up walking with in twenty four hours. A miracle worker for my situation. Surgical team and Reston hospital made it a smooth and quick stay. My legs were going numb from nerve compression and disc almost completely deteriorated. Pain improved dramatically.

Dr. Good is a wonderful kind surgeon. We have had many of his patients on our surgical unit. His patients transform into functioning again. He treats young and young at heart patients. As a nurse I would highly recommend him to anyone. I would go to him I have worked with many spine surgeons and I know that he genuinely cares about his patients.

Dr. Good is patient, kind, honest, and considerate. He will not perform anything that isn't necessary. He will listen and explain and does not rush your time together. The gals checking you out and making follow up appointment need manners. Not has kind as the others.

I am 3 days post op and already I can notice the improvement. I am so pleased. Dr. Good is detail oriented, explained everything in a professional manner and his follow up is outstanding. Except for being out of network on my insurance (he is totally worth the cost if you can swing it) Virginia Spine Institute and Dr. Good are a dream team.

many unnecessary tests,when deciding on aepidural,necessary to have a consult visit(extra billing) before actual shot.so over loaded that follow up appointment take 4-5 wks.Had a 2pm appointment he entered room at 3;17 without even a apology.lost trust after time sensed billing was the priority over treatment

I have severe adult scoliosis and have been going seeing Dr. Good for several years. Given that I was not having much pain he did not rush me into surgery. However, as my condition worsened I decided to have spinal fusion surgery. Dr. Good performed 2 surgeries on consecutive days (one from the front, one from the back) to address my scoliosis. Through the use of instrumentation he restored my lordosis in my lower back and decreased my curve from nearly 65 degrees to 20 degrees. I could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Good. He is a fantasitic surgeon and has a great bedside manner.

Meeting with Dr. Good was a breath of fresh air. He's on the younger side but one of the most inteligent Dr's I've ever met with. He was able to explain everything to me in laymen's terms. Overall he was able to get my back working again and it enabled me to get back to work. I couldn't recommend him enough.

My husband and I decided to bring our daughter to Virgina Spine Institute to specifically see Dr. Good. We heard nothing but great things about his expertise on scoliosis. Dr. Good really knew how to speak with my daughter not so much like a child (age 13) but really like any regular patient. He did an amazing job with the corrective surgery. I've never see my daughter happier. She's so much more active and her future looks much brighter. My husband and I would recommend Dr. Good to anyone who thinks they might have this condition. He's the best.

Dr. Good did an amazing job with me and I really couldn't thank him enough. I knew from the second I walked thru the doors at Virginia Spine that I was in the best hands. I believe that he has honestly given me my life back. The entire team was great and everyone there always took the time to answer all of my questions. Dr. Good is a great surgeon. He was one of two doctors I was referred to. Even though he was out of network I choose him because he really listened and cared about my situation. The staff at Virginia Spine Institute (Dr. Good's practice) was extremely nice as well. He explained how he could treat me both operative and non-operatively but definately didn't feel pressure to do one way or the other. I choose to go with the surgery and he performed a spine fusion in my lumbar region. Everything went as planned and I now have no back pain at all! (7 months since surgery) He gave me my life back and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. I highly recommend him.

I took my dad to see Dr. Good about his back. Dr. Good and the staff were so nice and PATIENT with my dad. He is now doing therapy and had an injection that helped alot. I am so happy that I am taking my mom in to see him next week!
