Dr. Christopher Theodore Kardasis, MD

He did my cataract surgery, and the results were nothing short of phenomenal. I wore glasses from an early age, but after the surgery, I only need reading glasses. He explained things in an easy to understand way, and I highly recommend him.

Having been a long time patient of Dr. Kardasis, I knew he would handle my cataract surgeries with utmost care and success. I am so pleased with the amazing results. He thoroughly explained the process and answered my many questions. His professionalism, knowledge, and care are excellent.

After cataract removal I felt like I had just bought all new TVs. Great to be able read road signage in time to make a decision about direction.

Terrible experience attempting to schedule an appointment. Was seen by Dr. Kardasis in the ER over the weekend, and attempted multiple times to schedule a follow-up appointment. During my initial call attempt, I was placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes before I disconnected the call. On my second call attempt, I was told that the office was busy and that I'd receive a callback in an hour, which I never received. Tried calling back nearly two hours later, but the office was closed and a voicemail was left requesting a callback. Attempted a third call today, in which the phone rang for a bit, but was answered and immediately disconnected. Dr. Kardasis was pleasant to work with when seen, but his office staff seems very unprofessional.

I'm a patient of Dr. Kardasis. I been wearing very thick eyeglasses all of my life due to being extremely nearsighted. I was diagnosed with Glaucoma and Cataracts. I received surgery on both of my eyes by Dr. Kardasis to remove my cataracts, he inserted an IStent device to help control my eye pressure for my glaucoma and inserted lens into my eyes and now I can see without my eyeglasses. I am truly thankful to Dr. Kardasis for giving me something that I never thought was possible. I can actually conduct every day task without wearing glasses and I only need them for distance. This is truly a Blessing!!! Dr. Kardasis is a great doctor.

Dr Kardasis is an outstanding eye doctor. Appointments are easy without long wait times. He takes the time to fully explain and listens well. I had zero issues during or after the surgery. I am amazed at how easy the experience was, and how mush improved my vision has become.

I have been seeing Dr. Kardasis (Dr. K) for several years and he has kept me informed about how my sight is progressing. Letting me know that Cataract surgery will be needed in the future and that I will know when it is time. Advising me the decision will be mine to make. At the end of 2020 I decided to have the surgery. Every step of the way, I was given information on the process from beginning to end, all questions answered before, during and after surgery. His office staff and the staff at Advocate Suburban could not have been more professional, helpful, and caring. One of the best decision I could have made with Dr. K's guidance!

Dr. Kardasis is a true professional. He knows what he is doing and has a very relaxed demeanor which enabled me to feel both comfortable and confident in working with him. I had cataract surgery in both eyes, the right first, then the left. I was unable to read street signs at night, at work I would recognize someone walking up to me by their gait not how they looked because I could not see that until they were only a few feet away. I now have 20-20 vision in both eyes and can see better than I can ever remember. I was expecting to still have to wear contacts. Michael Wodek
