Dr Mitchell is a very courteous and friendly doctor.He takes time to listen and gives you his undivided attention.I am very proud that he is my doctor.

Doesn't listen. Lacks any compassion. Assumes you are faking. Won't investigate into your issue. Worst doctor I have ever EVER seen. Ever. Adamant about his refusal to help unless it fits his window of what he deems legitimate concerns.

Don't believe the "positive propaganda" of the on hold music of these liars. They don't care about the patients they see. They only care about the money that is collected. They will refuse to see you if you miss appointments - even if it is due to having a heart attack!!!! I wish there was a way to leave a zero star rating because they don't even deserve a single star!!!! It is a very sad day when the doctors of this world become as bad or worse than the corporate snakes slithering in the grass!!

I have been to a lot of Doctors in my lifetime for headaches and I must say DR. Mitchell acted with no concern at all for me as A patient. Ignored me when I was talking to him about my migraine headaches that started back in the 80s when I was in the Army. Didn't even listen to my heart. DR. Mitchell told me that he has migraine headaches also and that I needed to just start dealing with the pain. I am almost 58 years old hard to deal with migraine pain. I don't recommend this DR.

Dr. Mitchell was concerned and thoughtful throughout the entire appointment. We discussed options for treatment and mutually decided on one. I had read negative reviews here and was a bit skeptical about seeing him. But my experience was very positive and I feel like I am in good hands.

Dr. Mitchel caused me a year of pain. As far as I can tell, all he knows to do is guess at different meds for headaches. He will try you on this med, if that does not work, well try this one, if that does not work, let's try doubling it. This went on over a year. The whole time I was asking to look at my neck. Finally I wised up and went to a different doctor. It took almost another year to get off all the meds Mitchell had me on. And guess what, it was a collapsed disk in my NECK. Very incompetent.

This person said my stroke was a complicated migraine. He does not make mistakes! Thank God, the team of three doctors and my PC all agreed it was a stroke and gave me TPA. Because of them I can function. They saved my life! Now a few years later the Doctor who does not make mistakes, Christopher Mitchell, who ignored my history of AFIB, a previous PE, and that I was in and out of AFIB for 20 plus years, has been declared wrong by three more doctors. He might want to admit he makes mistakes. We all do. He also sent me home in less than 72 hours, the required time after administering TPA. Malpractice.. But he didn't charge me so he didn't make 2 mistakes. Probably because I called him on it in his office! Needs a different profession. I wouldn't even write this review unless it could save a life!

Dr visit good. Followup on getting appointment in Vanderbilt not good. 21 day out and still no appointment.

I was referred to Dr Mitchell d/t my chronic neurological disease, I had been seeing a neurologist in Memphis and wasn't happy with service. Dr Mitchell took the time to listen to my symptoms and my concerns. He was very informative and honestly gave me hope. If you are looking for a Doctor to pet and pamper you, look elsewhere. Dr Mitchell is professional, competent, succinct, and honest. I'll take that any dayour over pet and pamper with no real treatment. I am a RN of 38 years. I know a good Dr when I see one.

I have been suffering with two conditions for most of my life. He did provide a few answers via blood work and a proper diagnosis for both situations which were dire but with such a coldness that I almost felt as though he blamed me for the situations though neither of them are due to my life style or choices. One of the pains I have is debilitating and has me in bed for weeks at a time. He seemed he wasn't even going to address it, even though it was one of the major reasons I was referred to him, so I kept pushing and asking questions until he did FINALLY answered me. When he gave me the diagnosis, he said it so nonchalantly even though it is a horrifying condition. He wrote me a prescription for a medication and while it IS one of the correct medications, it has the most severe side effects of any of the meds that can be used to treat it. I asked him if I could try one that was less concerning and he refused and said I didn't HAVE to take it, I could just live with the severe pain. I laughed, but I don't think he was joking because he got up out of his seat and headed for the door. There are other meds that are safer that can help, which I will try to get through other physicians. He was on his way out the door while I was still asking questions and he took no time at all to explain the condition to me or the seriousness of it. I came home and did my own research from the Mayo Clinic and other reliable medical research centers. The diagnosis is right and thank goodness he finally pegged it, but a patient should not have to PLEAD the answers out of the doctor. I don't think he would have said anything about it if I had not been persistent and demanded answers. I wish I could give him a higher rating because he is the first to actually know what is wrong, but I just can't because I feel like I had to push to get him to recognize that something actually is wrong. He might know what's wrong and if not, he might find it through tests, but trust me, if you want to get to the bottom of it, you're going to have to demand his attention. Don't expect so much as a handshake or a smile. I suppose he could have high functioning autism or be a savant, but I'm just trying to reconcile the cold, blank look on his face, because honestly, he has no social skills whatsoever. Whether there is a good neurologist who can provide both a proper diagnosis AND the time to even tell you what is wrong, well... I don't know, but I guess I'll keep looking and hope to find one.

Dr. Mitchell was unkind, uncaring and rude. No compassion. Just "Sorry -- can't help you" and showed me out.

Dr. Mitchell diagnosed my spinal fluid leak within 5 minutes of me telling him my symptoms. He had them do an emergency MRI to confirm it. It was a rare leak and it took 7 months to find it. When they told me at Vanderbilt there was nothing wrong with me it upset me so much I drove straight back to his office in tears. He assured that I did have a leak and he would find me a doctor to repair it even if I had to go the John Hopkins or the Mayo Clinic. He kept me calm through the entire time I was sick and I was able to stay here in Jackson and have my surgery.

This doctor was horrible. He did basic exams and concluded that he couldn't find anything and could not help me. Never offered to refer me to another doctor or any other suggestions to help with my pain. He also never acknowledge my mother who was also in the room. Very rude and discourteous.

He was very rude and said I was acting weird so he stop the test and didn't even find out what was wrong with me.. just because it the test hurt don't mean that he can treat a patient that way.. very unprofessional.

My mother has been under his care for over a week now. After numerous phone calls with no response the man has let her lay in bed for several days in pain so severe that she is fainting.He finally came by yesterday and told her he was coming back in 2 days and check on her. I wonder why a person like that is a doctor. What if it was his mother in pain - - - - - laying in bed crying because he didnt do his job.

I saw dr Mitchell with head aches, balance issues, random numbness and tingling, as well as other symptoms. All he did was check my reflexes and draw some blood. Then he said he didn't think there was anything wrong with me and I was just going to have to "suck it up"

He is one of the rudest doctors I have ever seen in my life. I have since transferred to Vanderbilt, despite the inconvenience of having to travel almost 2 hours to get there.
