Dr. Cortney H Cabell, MD

Absolutely adore Dr.cabell! She goes above and beyond to answer any questions you have. She made me feel comfortable and at peace my whole pregnancy. She is the best obgyn! She is absolutely hilarious and so welcoming! I would recommend her to everyone!

Dr. Cabell took the time to figure out my best course of action. The recommendation was a total hysterectomy. I had the procedure completed, and feel like a new person. I got the information, and the procedure was done at Tennova. The care I received was top notch! After 2 weeks I was back at work! I cannot express the gratitude for Dr. Cabell, she is awesome!!

I really enjoy her over the multiple doctors I have had. She is very sweet and caring! Best doctor yet!

I wish I had found Dr. Cabell sooner!! Dr. Cabell is an excellent OB/GYN and surgeon. She was able to diagnose and treat my condition that previous doctors ignored. She treated me with respect, and as if I were her number one patient every time I saw her. Dr. Cabell was able to present several treatment options, explain all of the options to me, and was forthright about my condition. Her unwavering confidence and knowledge helped me feel assured when deciding to proceed with surgery. Dr. Cabell personally took thorough care of me before, during, and after the procedure. I look forward to being her patient for many years to come.

Dr.Cabell was so great! I'm going to miss going to my appointments. She made everything simple and if I had questions she answered them. She's a great doctor!

She has made my daughters first experience terrible of being a new mother she spends less than 15 minutes with her and has made her very uncomfratable my daughter has listened to her and her associates talk about spa time and less time about her questions and concerns about her first baby she has put a damper on her first experience maybe she has lost the sense of a new life a first born a first grandparent maybe she should check herself and remember it's scary and confusing your first baby a baby a bday a new mother maybe u have lost that connection with new mothers maybe it's time to look at yourself and connect with your new mothers and forget about a few minutes and dollar signs and insurance companies wat if this was your daughter your first born

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I went to her for my first pregnancy and she doesn't seem to take the time to get know her patients. The second appointment she acted like it was the first appointment. I had to repeat answers to questions that were asked the first appointment. I get that she probably has a lot of patients but if you can't get to know the ones you have then you have too many. She is not gentle with you at all! And when I had my miscarriage she told me they were able to find out what happened and gave me such a brief explanation on what it was I had to google it to find out what it was. I will never go back to her and found someone a lot better!!

Dr Cabell is a wonderful doctor! I began seeing her during my first pregnancy. She is always smiling and happy! She is very knowledgeable and spent extra time with me to answer any questions I had. Dr Cabell is supportive and worked with me to meet any requests that I had. I requested to be induced and we made a plan that worked out beautifully. I can't imagine having a better experience! She and her nurses are absolutely wonderful! Even though I will be moving out of state I will continue to see her on a yearly basis.

Dr. Cabell is a fantastic doctor. She is a no non-sense kind of person, which I could not appreciate more. She gets whatever it is done. She respects her patients. I have been seeing her for a few years, and truly appreciate her and her staff. Together they are a perfect combo!

Dr. Cabell is truly a blessing! She performed my hysterectomy two weeks ago and and my quality of life is already so much improved. I am a single woman who has never given birth. I struggled with my decision to have the procedure. Dr. Cabell explained all of my options and gave me the information to make the best decision for myself. She is funny, kind, caring, and an excellent physician. I have recommended her to all of my family and friends, including my 89 year old aunt who absolutely loves her. Dr, Cabell is a wonderful doctor.

I went to Dr. Cabell with my first pregnancy. The whole time she was absolutely wonderful. Always smiling and always asking ow I was feeling, etc. She answered every quesrion and concern i had. I ended up having to have a csection because I chose to get induced and didn't dialate. Its been over a yr and the scar is barely noticable. She helped me calm down because i was scared and took great care of me the whole time. I would definitly recommend her. I'm in my second pregnnancy and the only reason I didn't go back to her was because I live iin ky and state medicaid for ky isn't covered there.

She is polite and she knows how to calm you down. Oh and OF COURSE she know her job! But she would prefer not the bother you with 'details' and 'possibilities' instead she would make sure you are going through a peaceful pregnancy which is very very important for both baby and mommy. But this doesn't mean she doesn't care about you. If you have a high risk pregnancy, she would do her best to not to stress you out BUT she WILL take care of you. I had her as my doctor during my first pregnancy and I ended up having c-section. Before-during and after the operation she was my biggest support other than my husband.

Dr. Cabell was on call when I went into the hospital so unfortunately I was stuck with her. She was a horrible doctor, and any time I disagreed with her course of action she threatened to do a c-section on me. She used it as a scare tactic. When I finally gave in and got the epidural she disappeared until it was time. She played on her phone the whole time while the nurse helped me through pushing. It was only when I was crowning that she decided to participate in the delivery. After delivery I continued to have some blood pressure problems and she was horrible to deal with. She would not listen to the Hospitalist Dr. that she requested consultation from and continued to do things her way. She is a horrible doctor!

I LOVE HER! Every time I go in to see her (which was quite often because of many issues) she has a smile on her face and greets me very kindly. Had to have a hysterectomy and my surgery went wonderfully! She came to my room to check on me (which is policy) but she spent time with me and discussed what she saw and made sure that I was being well taken care of. When I went back for my first post-op appt. she had the same warm greeting and addressed all of my concerns and answered all my questions. The thing that stuck with me the most about her was when we were deciding if I needed a hysterectomy or if there was a better treatment. I expressed that I wanted to have the hysterectomy and she said "It's your body and I believe that you have a choice in the decision we make regarding your body." No doctor has ever said that to me before. SHE'S A WINNER FOR SURE!

I'll be honest, I love Dr. Cabell and her nurse. (quick side note: the lady that works for the office and makes follow-up appts is a total b****...she seems to be an absolutely miserable person who hates her job. I dread seeing this hateful troll every time I go in)I saw Dr. Cabell for my entire first (and only, as of now) pregnancy, and she was fabulous! I was actually very sad when she wasn't on call when I went into labor. She has a sarcastic sense of humor, which I guess could be taken the wrong way by some...she seems to be very knowledgable, always listened to me when I had questions, and her nurse (Pam) is absolutely fabulous as well. I'm actually looking forward to making her my regular gyn, and definitely plan to see her again for my following pregnancies.

I am 6 months pregnant with my 3rd. I had plecenta previa with my first two and at my first appointment I asked about it with this baby she said "more than likely I'd have it this time" I didn't get my first ultrasound until 19wks. And after my ultrasound I asked bout the previa she said everything's normal I said even the previa saw said yeah it more than likely cleared up from last time" ??? How do u go from saying do to it cleared from last time???? I'm apparently only having one ultrasound. I've been in continuous pain for 6 months and that is normal I don't like she only spends 5 minutes with me and doesn't care about my concerns!!!
