I had a horrible consultation experience. In my opinion, Dr. Della Valle was erogant and condescending. He did not answer my questions. He disregarded them or talked over me. He also did not even acknowledge myself, the patient, when he did respond. He spoke directly to my husband rather than myself. It was such a bad experience that I decided to have my needed surgery elsewhere, at Northwestern Medicine, which was a great experience

July 25, 2023 visited with a concern about my hip replacements. X-rays were performed & all seemed ok. Dr. did say if symptoms continued to let them know. Also stated it could be a back issue & gave me suggestions for a couple of associates. He answered all of my questions & concerns & put my mind at ease. I am glad I had these total hip replacements. I have been able to do many things pain-free because of them.

Could not have been a better experience! Both knees were done 3 years ago and I forget I ever had them done. Now I need a hip and I am going to go back to Dr Della Valle ! Why would I go to anyone else.?!

Very professional great assement of problem . He handled in one visit. I left in better shape then then I arrived . Pain relieved shot made me able to walk and stairs . Swollen and fluid on knee removed . Waiting for lab results of the Fluid in my knee results. They will contact me with results.

Today marks the 1-year anniversary of my hip replacement - and I could not be more grateful for Dr. Della Valle and his team!! They were incredible to work with. Very attentive, caring, and thorough - addressing every concern I had along the way. I had undergone two prior arthroscopic surgeries (different doctor) and was scared of doing the replacement - it seemed so daunting. However, I was in a lot of pain - unable to sleep, or do much of anything. Dr Della Valle was incredibly patient and talked through all of my concerns with me so I felt at ease and totally confident moving forward. His nurse team was awesome - they taught me what to expect, and were always there when I needed something - they made the entire process easy. Dr Della Valle called me from his mobile phone the day after surgery to check on me. They also have a great texting system- everyday you get important reminders and inspirational messages. My only regret was I didn’t do it sooner. Don’t wait - call Dr Della Valle! I will return to him if I ever need the other hip replaced.

I needed 2 complete knees for years an I finally couraged up an made the appt with Dr Della Valle out of Rush! That was the best decision of my life even if I was in my 60’s. His office staff an all the nurses a drs that work with him are very professional an very helpful. When I seen Dr Della Valle he asked which one hurts the worse, went over X-rays an 2 wks later I had my right knee first, out patient at Munster,Indiana, from check in time to after procedure an going home 5 hrs! I did 5 stairs before I left a could not believe that I had very little pain, never used a walker an next day was in therapy with hardly no pain. 4 weeks later had the other one done an again in therapy the following day, Best Decision I have ever made, I feel like I’m 20 yrs younger an no pain, dr was the best, I give the him an all the staff a high 10( being the best) Don’t mess around with any other Dr cause he is number 1 in my book an now I’m pain free when I walk an I question myself why I waited so long, again Dr Della Valle you are the best an number 1 in my book, big hugs an Thank you an your staff for the best experience in a double knee replacement 4 wks apart, I now can take steps the proper way with no pain, so please if you want the best he’s your man for a awesum results, thank you all

From start to finish professional, proficient and personable care. My surgery (partial) went perfectly and after about 7 weeks I feel nearly 100% normal. The pre-surgery instructions were excellent, the post care and daily texts were outstanding. Questions (I had a few) were answered and promptly! Of course Dr. Della Valle is an outstanding surgeon. His entire staff deserves credit also. Thank you for putting me back together!

After 6 weeks of surgery, I am so happy I did it, walking normal reaching the recovery goals ?? the daily text Massage was very supportive and instructed me to keep going to accomplish faster overpass the pain and discomfort ????????

Dr. Della Valle and his team are excellent at what they do! I had a total knee replacement and have achieved excellent results. He and his team have made this the most positive experience, from setting appointments, to scheduling surgery, to after care. Would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Dr. Delle Valle and his team are a cut above the rest. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable; and, they are the consummate professionals. The text messages on your cell phone is also extremely helpful.

The entire experience was way above any expectations I had. The pre-planning the actual surgery and the follow up and the text messages above and beyond. I will definitely go back for the left leg once I’m ready. The support staff administrative and clinical are some of the best I’ve ever worked with! And I work in the medical device industry!

I’m very glad I finally had my 1st knee done! I asked when my second could be done when I seen him after I woke up! Sadly this “C-19” cancelled it. I’m waiting for my 2nd ASAP. His staff is amazing; on top of calls & answers! I’d recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Della Valle and staff are fantastic! Had my first knee replaced and couldn’t believe how well it went. So on my 3 week check up, I scheduled my second knee surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Della Valle!

The daily messages are very beneficial and allows the patient to know what to expect and how to proceed and knowing what to be aware of. There were no surprises, only a positive outlook. Dr. Della Valle preformed my partial knee replacement surgery just prior to Christmas. He is a gifted professional and thanks to his exceptional care after 9 weeks I am back in spin class and snowshoeing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this weekend. He called me on Christmas Eve to make sure I was doing well. The entire care team at Rush Orthopedics Oakbrook is superb.
