Dr. Cynthia A. Fretwell, MD

I was an expectant mother in my early forties. I was a bit petrified and didn't know what to expect. A new Immigrant to the US and someone whose last child was born almost 18 years previously. Dr. Fretwell treated me with so much care and respect that I was feeling rather guilty about being so apprehensive initially. My child is now a very healthy 15 years old girl and over the years I still tried to see Dr fretwell as often as I could even though she was practicing in another City. I'm no longer living in NY but I'll always be grateful to her for the wonderful care and attention I received from her during and after pregnancy...

Her bedside manner is not the best and at first I did not like her and requested not to see her. When I had my baby she was the doctor on call and I didn't have a choice. I ended up needing an emergency c-section and she was on top of my progression and did an amazing job handling the situation and the surgery. I only wish she took the time to explain the situation to me but I understand that it was an emergency and that it may have only scared me more. But all in all, she saved our lives so I thank her for that.
