Dr. Cynthia Thaik, MD

Do NOT go here! This woman should NOT have her MEDICAL LICENSE. She has consistently peddled her own holistic remedies for personal and financial gain. Nothing she pushes is evidence based medicine or backed by any insurance providers. One example: she has repeatedly pushed $500 worth of FISH OIL PILLS a month to treat treatment-resistant depression. She slips these items in your cart making it near impossible not to purchase. UNETHICAL ON MANY LEVELS. When we were new to the practice, she had no issue prescribing medications for psychiatric illness including XANEX to keep us as patients. However, now she is unwilling to prescribe evidence based medicine for mental health, citing that needs to be managed by a mental health care provider. But at the same point, she is more than willing to recommend supplements like the FISH OIL.

Wow! Wow I’d give Dr. Thaik a ten star if I could. I found her thru online search. I thought I give her a try. I was misdiagnosed by the previous HMO doctors who treated me like cattle. Dr. Thaik correctly diagnosed my condition and recommended steps to improve my health. She is not one those doctors who put stethoscope on your chest and said “yep, you got serious problem and here are some pills to solve it.” She cares about her patients’ well being and treat you with respect and kindness. If you are looking for a pill pusher, Dr. Thaik is not a doctor for you. Most doctors are too busy and they are trying to get you out the door ASAP. Dr. Thaik will be your health advocate for you. She thoroughly did all the test, gave me appropriate medications and advise me on, life style changes, stress management, diets and supplements. She truly cares about her patients.

Referred due to heart problems. Did some diagnostic tests and Rx. Had me meet with "health consultant" who pitched a detox program. I asked time to think about it. Went to doc next day who got irate with me about not taking the diet protocol. Told me they are very successful at what they do and they could not help me there. I got so upset my heart was palpitating and I could barely drive home. Clearly they are only interested in selling supplements and diet protocols and you aren't even granted time to think about it. I was very disappointed.

I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Thaik and I believe she and her staff are amazing! Dr. Thaik (Cynthia) made me feel very comfortable, and took the time to hear my concerns. She had tests done that were designed to provide clarity with any issues I had. Once they were completed she discussed things I could do, (detailed diet suggestions, spiritual/mindfulness) that would improve my health and well being. She didn't have to do that... there is no monetary gain to take her valuable time and offer suggestions. She didn't suggest further tests, hospitalization, drugs, etc. that most in her profession would. Not only would I recommend her to anyone I know that needs to see a cardiologist, but I believe her proactive approach that helps prevent most health issues is also vital for everyone to hear regardless of health! I have been going to Dr. Thaik on and off for a few years. The reason I leave is that the office gets too busy at times and mistakes are made. I went to an appointment a couple of weeks ago and one of the things I needed was to have my prescriptions refilled. While one of the nurses was inputing the information, Dr. T had him finish with me and go to another patient. He didn't finish what I needed and said he would finish later. I called today to see if in fact the meds were ordered and not only did they not say no, but they were sending me incorrect medications. This is inexcusable and would not recommend Dr. Thaiks office.

Dr. Thaik is very thorough and takes what she does seriously. I went in for something that didn't end up being something I needed to worry about but if I had something wrong with my heart, I'd want Dr. Thaik to be the one to deal with it. She's tough though. If you want a doctor to sugarcoat things or say it's okay to eat a bunch of junkfood now and then--then she is not for you. She obviously practices what she preaches. She gives you a free copy of her book which I haven't read yet but am looking forward to it. She is a Buddhist, I think, and uses her beliefs in conjunction with her care. She believes that our thoughts have a lot to do with our bodies. Almost a bit New Agey, which I don't mind, but some people might.

Rare find! Professional, compassionate, thorough. Love her philosophical and mindful approach to health and healing. Will definitely recommend to family and friends

Dr. Thaik is an expert...it was apparent at my first visit that she is passionate about heart health: Dr. Thaik and her staff checked me out completely including a tread mill stress test to provide an exact diagnosis. I would recommend her to my family and friends.

From the Zen like atmosphere in her waiting room, to the calm, friendly smile of her receptionist, to the warmth of her nurses, to the attention , focus, and dedication of the physician, the entire experience was one that made you feel like an individual who mattered! I was reviewed by a co-worker. Though I live in Ventura County, I can tell you it was worth the drive. Her philosophy of having a balance of mind and body was something refreshing. I am 100 lbs overweight and she could tell by my emotional state that I wanted to be healthy. She simply said "I can help you". I believed her whole heartedly and appreciated her compassion and understanding. There was no judgment of me being so overweight, she was simply kind, caring and sincere. I had survived breast cancer last year and now my heart was acting up a bit. I met with the nutritionist yesterday and after the first of the year I will begin a 21 day detox. Something I need to do for me. Eager to see what 2015 brings me.

Dr. Cynthia is very easy total to, and tells you exactly what's wrong. She gives her patients clear and concise answers. I can not wait to make her my premier doctor.

This was the best experience I believe I've ever had with a Dr. and their staff. I've had some great Dr.'s but what sets Dr. Thaik and her staff apart is that no matter what, they are here for YOU and WANT you to be well in all aspects of your life. I can't thank y'all enough! Also, they scheduled me within just 2 hours of calling since someone cancelled, again they care!

Dr. Thaik is an exceptional professional. Many doctors offices will look at you and treat you like a $$$ sign. Not her. You are welcomed, cared for with compassion and a lot of understanding. I wish all my doctors are like herâ?¦.Her knowledge is limitless...

I was referred to Dr. Cynthia by my primary care physician. She immediately diagnosed my hypertension and started me on a regimen of diet, exercise (and appropriate medicine) to keep it under control. She literally saved my life! As time progressed, she worked with me to change my lifestyle to one, giving me a better quality of life . Few doctors, no less cardiologists truly understand the value of achieving and maintaining a healthy mind and body through means other than prescribing drugs. Dr. Cynthia truly understands how the human mind and body works. If you are in need of a cardiologist, she is the finest!

Dr Cynthia Thaik was referred to me by a very good pal. He knew I needed a doctor that would communicate with me on a level I could understand and digest. After all, I spent most of my life taking very good care of myself with very aggressive training, eating right, no smoking, no alcohol etc....and then BAM ...a heart attack 7 months ago. I was really scared and having thoughts and conversations I never had prior to Feb 3rd. ... The doctor that saved my life, while a brilliant technician, lacked what I needed to continue with him. (time, compassion, .... bedside manner !!) Dr Cynthia had everything I needed and MORE....she takes time with me, answering any and all questions. She has the ability, desire and wonderful staff to manage her patients appropriately . There is no waiting period that is unreasonable. My time is valuable and she appreciates that. Our goal to get off all of the medications. She put me on a specific food plan to reach that goal.....her approach is exactly what I wanted but didn't know existed. I feel empowered by her and am certain we will reach the goal. Prior to meeting Dr. Cynthia I just felt I was "sentenced" to a life of fear and medications. I no longer feel that way. Here is a BRILLIANT doctor. She is a great cardiologist and basically she changed my life. There are not many doctors that anyone can say that about, but she in fact changed my life. I'm a different person now in a thinner and healthier body because of her involvement in my life.
