Due to a combination of medication, my son had a seizure a few years ago, which was reported to the State of Florida. The State required that he get 2 clean CT scans 1 year apart in order keep his driver’s license. The first year, the visits, CT scan, and filing of the paperwork with the State by Dr. Cabello’s office went flawlessly. The second year, however, was nothing but PROBLEMS. To begin with, the tech who was to perform the scan rescheduled without notice once (which WE were charged for because of the no-show) and then didn’t show for the time SHE rescheduled, because she “didn’t have any other appointments that day.” (My son had to take off work, lose a day’s pay, and drive 50 miles round trip for HER no-show, but that didn’t seem to matter to her!) The second scan also came up clean, and we assumed all was resolved, since we had provided the form for the State and they had filed the paperwork appropriately the first time. Two months later, my son was stopped for speeding—and the officer informed him that he was driving on a SUSPENDED LICENSE. After some discussion, the officer opted NOT to haul him off to jail, but warned him that he needed to resolve the issue with his license before continuing to drive. We contacted the State to find out why his license had been suspended only to find out that Dr. Cabello’s office had not filed the required paperwork with the State AT ALL! Soon after, we received notice from our auto insurer that they were cancelling our insurance due to the ticket for driving on a suspended license. Unfortunately, all of this took place at the time that COVID was ramping up, and it was difficult to reach Dr. Cabello’s office staff. After a couple of weeks of back and forth, we were finally able to get the paperwork filed with the State and coordinate an expedited review to get my son’s license and our insurance reinstated. Fast-forward another 3 months to when our insurance policy was up for renewal. Instead of getting a 15% COVID discount, we were hit with a 47% SURCHARGE due to the suspended license ticket on my son’s record. Since he opted to pay the fine instead of paying a lawyer to fight the ticket, we are left with paying this surcharge until the points/ticket are cleared!! That amounts to over $7,000!!!! We notified Dr. Cabello and his office staff of this issue, which is ENTIRELY due to their negligence. After months of providing all of the information they have requested, and trying to get them to at least negotiate an agreement to cover this cost (let alone all the stress and inconvenience this has caused us!), they have opted deny all culpability. It’s very disturbing that people we trusted with my son’s well-being have turned out to be so callous and unconcerned about suffering THEY CAUSED. So, our suggestion it to THINK TWICE before trusting this practice with your health—physical, mental, or financial!!! They did not do their DUE DILIGENCE for us and have not even offered an APOLOGY for their negligence and ineptitude in handling this situation!!!

He drums up wildest imaginations as possible when one has already been diagnosed and affirmed by Medical Doctors superior than he is. He was a no show twice in Hospital and he's the one who admitted? Seriously! This is a quack if you ever come across!

Best and most thorough neurologist I have ever been to could not ask for a better doctor! With out his help I feel I would not be alive today . Thank you Dr Cabello

Dr. Cabello is a great doctor the problem is getting to him, His nurse does not return phone calls and is sometimes rude on the phone, I would highly recommend the doctor but it is difficult to get to him due to his nurse.

Average Neurologist

He's a good Doctor.

Could use more professional attitude. Gets patients mixed up? Seems to dodge questions if you ask. Will get argumentative if you don't watch out. Had threatened my wife several times until we went to another Neurologist where she is being treated just fine. We will not be back to see this man again. Do not recommend him at all.
