Dr. Daniel H Kellum Jr, DO

I have been a patient of this facility for years.. I used to be well taken care of but it all changed once my NP moved. I have been going through serious health issues regarding my heart. I had a heart Surgery back in May if this year due to a hole in my heart and i unfortunately have not stabilized yet. I almost died 3 weeks ago, due to my heart condition and I am in dire need of a new/better Cardiologist. I found one that i like and due to the urgency of this situation, my new cardiologist was able to get me in for next week and just told mento have my pcp send a referral and thats all thats needed. So i just called this facility to get that process started, i am extremely weak, having shortness of breath due to my severe tachycardia.. i spoke to a female representative in that office. I told her why i was calling, verified my information and i attempted to tell her what i needed. And instead of treating me like a human being.. this female representative that works in the referral dept spoke to me in an incredibly rude, disrespectful manner. She kept cutting me off, over talking me, being sarcastic.. i even told her “look i am sick, im already going through alot can you at least be professional and respectful because you are coming off extremely rude” and instead of her apologizing, she argued me down as to why she is not rude (very ironic) . I told her in such a kind manner that i am the recipient and that she is coming off so disrespectful and she repeated herself over and over in a threatening, unprofessional tude manner that she is not being rude. Im short of breath, can barely breathe, my heart rate is 151bpm and im sitting still not moving.. for my health sake i just had to hang up. I cant risk my health due to being treated badly for no reason. That call is recorded and i would like for corporate to reach out to me. I feel discriminated against. I feel threatened, and now im concerned my health is at risk due to be not being successful in obtaining this cardiology referral that i urgently need in order to sustain my life and my health. It is ridiculous that every interaction with this facility is so hostile. I no longer feel safe at a patient at this facility and as a nurse myself, i am highly offended and disappointed.

The problem is the referral department

I just started going to see Dr. Daniel Kellum on my brother's recommendation. I couldn't be happier with my decision. He has taken care of issues that I didn't even realize could be helped. I feel better, I sleep better and am back into working out without pain. Thank you Dr. Kellum, you are truly a blessing!

My husband and mom both went here and neither ever received follow up on tests that were ran despite calling over and over and over. If we waited on them my husband and mom might be dead by now. Horrible service. Thank goodness there are other doctors in the area.

I have been with the Kellums for over 25 years. Art Campsey is very caring. The Kellum's staff is like family. They are always friendly

I recommend Dr. Kellum Junior to whoever knows me well and listens he’s a great doctor, not to say he’s got the best staff ever! Dr. Kellum, takes total care of me and keeps other doctors that only want to give you and toFalls diagnose you for their own financial satisfaction. My husband has come to this clinic twice now for physicals and twice for the follow-up appointments. During the two times he has yet to even see one of the doctors. Yesterday we went in for lab results and waited for over 2 hours. My issue is they didn't have the courtesy enough to call or tell us upon arrival that the Dr. had an emergency and had to leave the two PAs covering all appointments. I'm not sure what the emergency was, but we asked the receptionist three times how much longer the wait would be and she always assured us that we were going to be seen shortly. The last time she told me there were only two patients left to be seen and that my husband was up next. I politely told her that we were the only ones left in the waiting room, so the only patient left to be seen was my husband. Once called back, we waited for at least 20 minutes in the room for the PA to enter and go over my husband's lab results...for a physical...that took her 4 minutes, and that's her trying to stretch it out. I typically don't write reviews, but I think some serious self-reflection is needed by whoever runs that office, especially after reading all the other reviews and it seems to be the same complaint. Even though the office location is super convenient, I'd rather drive 20 or 30 minutes to be seen by someone else rather than deal with this again.

Very caring empathetic Dr. soft spoken and informative. Everyone should be c grateful that he is still a very caring individual. It’s a disgrace there is not many like him left. Experience a visit if you can. You owe it to yourself just for the experience. You can always return to whom you saw before. I do understand all opinions are different. My family and I have had Dr. Daniel Kellum Jr. as our Primary Care Physician for over 15 years. I trust every medical decision he makes for us. Dr. Kellum is a warm, kind hearted person and physician. Dr. Kellum is always very attentive to his patients needs. He always has the time to explain and answer all your questions thoroughly and he understands all your concerns. His office staff has always been prompt in assisting us to schedule office appointments and referrals. I highly recommend Dr. Kellum Jr to anyone who needs a caring and dedicated physician.

Dr Kellum actually cares about his patients. Dr Campsey is a PA working there and is fantastic. He talks to you, not down to you. No bull and has a sense of humor. Bothe are good guys and good doctors. My wife goes here as well. I recommend them. Hart and Phyllis Tollett

Tried this provider due to the proximity to my home. What a waste of time. I showed up 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment since I was coming in as a new patient. After waiting an hour past my appointment time I inquired as to why I was still waiting and was told that this is normal. I ended up leaving at 1 hr and 30 mins. Sat in the waiting room the entire time. Never even placed in a patient room, which everyone knows is PCP purgatory. I can't event imagine how much longer I would have had to wait in the room prior to seeing the provider. Complete waste of time. It is unacceptable for a PCP to have patients waiting this long. Obviously, you should not be taking new patients on if you can't make time to see them. Have some respect and consideration for people's time.

Dr.Kellum has the best bedside manner ever,and your treated like family. His memory of a patient and their lives in general make one feel safe and secure. The staff overall is just amazing. Friendly and courteous!! Answered any questions I had and offered a variety of medical solutions to address any ailments presented! The wait was well worth it for a more personable visit!

Appointment @ noon. Finally called at 2:15 after complaining. Make it to the back room and after another hour waiting I walked out unseen. No consideration of the patients time or communication that they are running behind. This is a reoccurring issue with this practice. Healy care may be good but operations management is terrible. Staff at counter seemed to care less. Waiting room stacked.

Limits number of medicare patients each day to 6. Even with an appointment you still have to wait HOURS to see him. Don't know if it's staff or just time management. Good doctor, very knowledgeable, and helpful.

He is the best doctor I've ever been to! Grateful to have found him!!

Who is Dr Kellum? I have never seen him, only his PA, I have never been advised as to any improvement that the medication has done, just come in every six months, they take blood, renew prescriptions, and I get a bill for the blood tests. Once, they prescribed a prescription that was over $100 a month, which I can't afford, so they gave me a sample, then next month gave me another sample, then the next time I went in, they had no samples, so changed the prescription. Totally uncaring about an individual.

Many people doing reviews here are doing them for the wrong person. There are three Dr Kellum's. This site is for Kellum Jr. There is a Senior and a John Kellum and then Daniel Kellum Jr.I understand that Kellum Jr. is no longer associated with the "Kellum Group".Dr. Daniel Kellum Jr. is our family physician and has been for many years. Yes, at busy times, your office wait will be a bit longer, but in my honest opinion, it is worth the wait. It may be because at times he spends a little more time with his patients than the average for a physician. He has always answered my questions very well and has shown a huge degree of compassion. We believe in his expert care and are very lucky to have found a doctor like Daniel Kellum Jr.

I have never actually seen in any of the doctors, only the PA. You would think I would see the doctor at least on the first visit. Waiting time is outrageous, every time I have had to wait for at least 2 hours and that is with an appointment! Staff is incompentent and do not follow through with referrals. MA's introduce themselves as nurses, gross misrepresentation.

I will never go back the Kellums. I have called their office for 2 weeks to try and schedule an appointment for my 2 children who had been seen their before with no success. The phone just rings, rings, or someone will pick up and hang right back up. When you finally do get a person on the phone they will transfer you and your back to step one. Staff does not acknowlegde you. Dr. Kellum Sr goes through your visit so fast that it's like he trying to avoid any questions you may have. I requested for my daughter to have the gardasil vaccine as part of her routine physical and their P.A. Told me she was not of age. Being in the medical field myself, my daughter was of age. I would be ashamed to mention to anybody that this is place I am employed with if I did work them, let alone my primary care physician.

The receptionists ignored me while I stood at their window for nearly 5 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes before my childs appointment and still ended up waiting for over an hour passed the appointment time. Multiple people who came in after me were seen almost immediately and when I went to ask about how much longer I needed to wait, the receptionist once again ignored me, cloaing her window when she saw me. I am never going to bring my child back to this place.
