Dr. Daniel Howard Stoop

Im am an ex meth abuser invoved in drug court. I have been a patient of Daniel Stoop for 15 years. My last visit was for a Baclafen prescription renewal for anxiety. Dr Stoop expectantly asked me, "so, what are you going to do AFTER drug court to stay off drugs?", I said, "im not sure but I've thoought about that and im going to have to find somthing to do whether it be volunteering or take up a hobby or something" , he then said,"i really dont care WHAT you do, if you start using drugs again its not going to bother me. I really dont care what you do!", Im thinken what? Did i just hear him right? What coould i possibly have said to have him say that? I then sarcastically said,"geez Dr Stoop, way to de personalize yourself from me", Then he said," Im just telling you that im not going to loose any sleep at night if you decide to start using again". Being totally offset by his statements i didnt know what to say in return, so i just agreed with him and said that i understand but really i was blown away, confused and wondering what i did or said to deserve his responses. Well. Im loosing sleep because i dont understand his disassociation of personalizm! I mean, arent Dr's supposed to at least leave you with the impression that they care? Am i just the type of person that offsets the balance between a Dr and patient? ????? Idont know what to think but i DO know that i dont appreciate the way i feel after leaving his office nor do i feel cofortable now and actually loosing sleep myself because of it.

Can't seem to get any one to call me back have had this problem since I have been going their took almost four months for dr to send orders for my husbands c pap machine not happy

I was beyond disappointed seeing this physician. He didn't seem interested in anything I had to say. He felt cold and uninterested. I thought maybe it was just the first visit but the following appointments did not improve anything. He seemed to forget why I made a follow up and then did nothing to treat my issue that he had blatantly told me he would at the previous visit. I felt lied too and frustrated. It's a shame because I love the pediatric doctors at Rockwood but the adult care seems horrible here.

Listens poorly, ALWAYS late, seems to fly from seat of pants

Dr. Stoop has always been on the cutting edge of his craft. He is interested in the causes of illness, not just the treatment. A rare treasure to have in our area.

Dr. Stoop is the premier, cutting edge physician of NE Washington! He actually knows medicine, something apparently rare to most so called physicians in the region. He is the last of the best of his kind.

Check up was so quick and cold I felt like a steer going thru a cattle chute, I was poked and prodded and sent on my way.
