Dr.Abrutyn is by far the best surgeon you can hope for. Dr abrutyn repaired my labrum and bicep tendon. 100 percent at 53 I just underwent quad tendon repair due to injury. Dr. Abrutyn always described in detail what was going on, answered all my questions. 2 other doctors were unsure what was going on with my knee and what the best course of action was, but Dr. Abrutyn knew that my meniscus was off the bone right away and that they only way to fix it was surgery. I met with Dr. Abrutyn for a second opinion for pain and swelling in my knee. I explained how the first doctor aspirated my knee and gave me a cortisone shot without allowing the numbing medication to take effect which caused much pain and discomfort. He assured me that I would have a much different experience with him. Dr. Abrutyn is true to his word! I had a lot of pain going up and down stairs and could walk only a short distance. Dr. Abrutyn reviewed the MRI that was ordered by the first doctor which showed arthritis, two meniscus tears and a baker’s cyst. I decided to try the gel injection which provided relief but only temporarily. After several visits back to his office and X-rays of both knees he was upfront and informed me that I would benefit from a total knee replacement. We never discussed surgery during prior visits, therefore, I wasn’t prepared for this news. After reviewing my options and giving it much thought I decided to go through with it. It’s been 3 months since my surgery and timing couldn’t be more perfect. I’m back to gardening and caring for my koi pond and most importantly back to performing daily activities without pain. Dr. Abrutyn has given me my life back and I’m truly grateful. In addition to being a great surgeon, he has a wonderful bedside manner and takes time to answer your questions and concerns without feeling rushed. The office staff are very personable as well. I highly recommend Dr. Abrutyn for any knee issues you may have. I was 39 when I needed a total knee replacement. Because of my age and past knee surgeries Dr. Abrutyn explained all of my pros and cons before surgery. Im a 76 yro female with terrible arthritis everywhere, but it has most recently been the worse in my left shoulder. I went to see Dr. Abrutyn b/c my daughter is a patient and he was exceptional. He listened to my concerns/complaints and then he explained what he felt was the best option for me. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. David Abrutyn. I was an anxious and horrified mess when an accident left me with a shattered kneecap. Dr. Abrutyn answered all of my questions, eased my fears and insecurities, immediately got me into surgery, and put my kneecap back together. He was always wonderful about following up, listening to me, paying close attention to my case, getting me a brace that I was comfortable in, making sure I had the right resources and PT, and getting me back on my feet. I had dislocated my patella multiple times in football games in the past few years, with the final one coming with a hairline fracture in the patella. I visited 2 doctors prior to Dr. Abrutyn, and all three recommended the surgery to prevent the injury from occurring again. I felt most comfortable with Dr. Abrutyn doing the surgery, and after he performed the surgery he immediately came out of the operating room to my parents to let them know it had gone well. After 2 months I am very pleased with my recovery, and am gaining strength back in my leg faster than I had ever expected. I recently had arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Dr. Abrutyn did an excellent job. Very clean portal incisions look to be healing up nicely, the staff was nice and informative, and most major pain was over the same day I was able to remove the surgical dressing. The only thing I'd like to note is that multiple locations for Summit Medical Group is a bit confusing with scheduling so make sure you schedule your appointments accordingly. I would recommend everybody to Dr. Abrutyn for shoulder repair surgery.

After an injury (torn pectoral muscle) that I sustained in the summer time, I waited several months before I got an operation done with Dr. Abrutyn and he repaired my injury as if nothing ever happened. As an athlete, it's big for my athletic career and I was able to get back to cardio quickly after. He did a great job.
