Dr. David Wilson Bevans, MD

Dr. Bevans performed an emergent laparoscopic appendectomy on me about a week ago. I believe he was the on call surgeon (from what I was told in the ER). He was at the Facility - BHMC NLR - and had me into surgery extremely fast (especially considering it was a Sunday evening). He met with my family and I and discussed the operation and post-op course very clearly, made sure all our questions were answered, and didn't make us feel 'rushed'. I have 3 small incisions, all healing very well & I believe they will leave minimal scarring. Great experience, considering the circumstances.

Dr. Bevans is on top of his game. He caught physical issues that seemed unrelated to my current physical illness (they had been treated by other drs as unrelated and separated issues.) He connected the dots and treated the problem. My recovery has been swift and much of the other problems such as running a low grade fever, chronic pain and fatigue, etc. have been resolved in less than 40 days without the aid of medication. Very impressive.

I was extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful surgeon assigned to me for an emergency surgery. I'm having another surgery next week and know that I am in extremely capable and caring hands. Wonderful bedside manner!
