He is not a good doctor

This guy is nothing but a paid workman's comp. hack ! All he had me do is move my head a little bit and then sent off I was all healed ! I can't even move my head !!! This guy needs his license taken away !

This doctor is nothing but a work comp hack. I really don't know how this man sleeps at night. He lies about absolutely everything that is going on with you. I really honestly do not know how these doctors like this keep a license. all he is worried about is getting his $1,500 he gets per person for spending 5 minutes with you.

This quack will hopefully lose his license after the mn medical board hears the recording of the IME this quack did,also the judge likes my recordings.This quack is a joke and has no knowledge of medical conditions and what it effects.Said on recording there was no reason for not having surgery and it was warranted.Then in his report said it was caused by other issues.I guess my recording tells the truth.

I found this doctor exactly what i needed to hear. Not a quick reply to have surgery as a quick fix but to first try PT for evaluation. I felt he listened well and was understanding of my problem. I was helped with PT with less pain. I would highly recommend this doctor.

This guy agreed my health problems were related to a work injury. Three months later, I receive a report from worker's comp insurance indicating this guy said my health issues were not related. No respect for this guy. No wonder he needs to moonlight for an insurance company. He obviously can't make it in his own practice.

This guy is a joke. He sent me back to work without a MRI and zero restrictions. He misdiagnosed my back injury by me doing a few simple movements. Said there was never a injury. I carry 40 ft ladders and 24 ft planks 12 hours a day min. MRI came back with permanent partial disability. Spent 8 mins with this guy and I told my story for 4 of those minutes. By the way WC set up appt, that's why so easy and he was prompt getting me out.

My sister, my mom and myself have all had surgery preformed by Dr. Carlson. One being knee replacement, another repair of a knee cap that was completely broke in half and the other, bi-lateral bunionectomy surgery. Excellent results in every case! Dr. Carlson is the best and we definitely miss him here in Minnesota. I would give this Doctor an A+ rathing and would highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you Dr. Carlson for all the great success stories.

Like a previous reviewer my orthopedic issue came to a head on a wknd and was sent to see Dr Carlson 'by default'. I incorrectly assumed an orthopedic surgeon is an orthopedic surgeon...I also incorrectly assumed a rotator cuff tear is a rotator cuff tear. After all no one pointed out the fact that mine was a 'massive' tear, nor did anyone indicate to me that a tear such as mine would result in such a complicated surgery and recovery. ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion before having surgery. I wish I would have. I adore my family doctor and trust her so I felt comfortable seeing a specialist she referred me to, but I found out later that she had never even met Dr Carlson and she referred me to him because he happened to be who was available at that particular time. Live and learn I guess.

An injury over the week-end? You kind-of get what you get for a doctor. I am so unhappy with the care I received and the results. I continue to be in pain and have moved on from Dr. Carlson. I didn't realize how important being board certified is (or what that really means), but in doing a bit of research I learned that Dr. Carlson is not even board certified. I would NEVER choose to have another surgery done by him, nor would I recommend him to anyone. There has to be a better orthopedic doctor in Shakopee!
