Would not consider any other Dr. to work on me!

Dr Dodgins performed my left knee replacement. He and his staff are very caring, helpful and informative on what to expect in having a knee replacement. He is very easy to talk to, and has a very casual way of explaining everything to you. My knee is great and I appreciated his care and concern through the recovery process. I highly recommend Dr Dodgins.

Dr. Dodgin was courteous, knowledgeable and respectful. He explained my condition and took my history in consideration to make the best prognosis and how to proceed.

On time appointment. Great staff. Dr Dodgin explained everything about knee replacement procedure in detail.

Dr. David Dodgin replaced both of my knees (Aug 2022 and Dec 2022). The care I received far exceeded my expectations, start to finish! Dr. Dodgin is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate physician. I never doubted that I was in very capable hands, and the results bear that out. The nurses, technicians, and office staff at Orthopedic Specialists of Austin are all very pleasant to work with, and it’s very clear that their highest priority is providing exceptional patient care. My surgeries and rehab were all performed at MUVE Surgical Center in Lakeway. I cannot say enough about how wonderful that facility is, and how amazing the nursing and physical therapy teams are!

Dr. Dodgins handled my TKR recovery with such skill and professionalism, it is rare to see a doctor that truly cares, but he is that rare breed. He coordinated with my pain management doctor and even she said, “ you are extrémele my lucky, I rarely ever see a doctor as invested in his patient’s care as yours. He is definitely a unicorn in his field”. To hear that from one doctor to another says it all. Dr Dodgins is an excellent choice for orthopedic care, especially TKR.

I don't understand the negative reviews for Dr. Dodgin. I had avasculor necrosis in both hips at the age of 40 and assumed that I was in for a miserable life based on some local surgeons. My wife found Dr. Dodgin and he replaced both hips. I was walking within a couple of hours and now I can't tell that I ever had anything wrong. Dr. Dodgin changed my life.

Had my knee scoped by Dr Dodgin. The office staff called and left two voicemails to see how I was recovering. I have excessive swelling in my knee. I have called them back and got no answer and they don’t respond to voicemail. When talked to about the lack of response from his staff Dr Dodgin treated me like I was the problem. Still no response on my swelling and have not been able to talk to anyone regarding the swelling in my knee. Worst Medical office staff I have ever experienced

Ruined my athletic life, chronic pain limp, never spoke to me or spouse post surgery, unable to walk for 4 month, for an anterior approach should have be 1st day, this is surgery 101, easy if u know what your doing, run from this charlatan

Had an initial appointment for knee pain, xray's were fine, but if pain continued I would need an MRI. MRI completed, set up appointment to go over results and treatment options. Made an appointment for 3:15, at 4:35 I had not seen Dr. Dodgin, just placed in a room and told he would be in. Upon leaving I told the PA that I had to go, stated I could reschedule my appointment or wait and he would be in with me next. I understand wait times change based on patients/surgery, but almost an hour and a half is a little much. Disappointed in the lack of communication or caring shown. Will not be back for another visit.

After a total knee anthroplasty I walk again without pain or limp. Dr. Dodgin and his team made this easy and are outstanding in every respect.

Five stars are not enough. Outstanding in every respect.

I have a chronic limp chronic pain 2 years later still have pain from a anterior hip replacement that a veterinarian could have done better I wouldn't recommend this arrogant physician and I don't call hime a physician I called him a charlatan, he could have worked at the concentration camps experimenting, he ruined my life.

He seemed to be overbooked and disinterested, like he just goes through the motions. He gave me a cortisone shot that did nothing. He offered no solutions afterwards. I was recommended by my PCP to see him and it was just a big letdown.

Dr. Dodgin spent a total of maybe 5 minutes with me. He sent his PA in to do his job. Both of whom made me feel as though my knee injury wasn't real, and that I was nuts for saying that cortisone didn't help. "I find it hard to believe it didn't help". Well, it didn't and it never has. I know plenty of people the injection hasn't helped. They were more focused on my weight, which by the way, they both made sure to tell me several times needed significant attention. I wasn't there for weight counseling, I was there for a knee injury that is causing me problems. Thanks for your no help! I've never been to a specialty doctor who spent less time with their patient than their PA did. Oh... and to the PA that made the comment that the cortisone shot should numb the pain instantly....I'm not sure which cortisone shot you have been given, but it does NOT numb the pain instantly, if at all!
