Dr. David Charles Levi, MD

Dr Levi has helped me work through MANY years of pain problems from injuries, illness and surgeries. He is the ONLY doctor that I have found that you can talk with honestly, express yourself and share your pain levels and problems who is NOT judgmental, who is understanding, who is caring and has empathy. Sometimes you need to be severely direct to get attention in this world and you can with Dr. Levi. I would and have sent everyone from my best friend to my worst enemy to his practice for help and they all rave about him. The only problem is that he is helping so many patients that appointments run late and are difficult to come by. I wish I could just keep him for myself but that would be quite ignoble of me. I think he is the best out there --- and I have seen many over the years! I rate him an AAAAAA++++++++ Ad Infinitum!

I have been going to Dr Levis practice for 10 years after a car accident robbed me of my life. There are days I cannot walk or even breathe without pain. Dr Levi has always listened and been there for me. He is very professional and will take the time you need to understand anything. Thank you for all you do! I also need to mean Betsy King! She is the best : )

Dr. Levi has taken care of both my husband and I for years. We have always had relief from our pain with shots. He is highly intelligent, listens, and suggests what would be the best for each of us. We are very upset that he has left his practice with no explanation. The office will not give any information regarding his sudden departure. It has left us hanging since we were to have our back shots due again. We don’t want to start with the new doctor in the office. Where is Dr. Levi?? Has he opened a new office? This is not like him! Went for five procedures and no help

He will destroy your reputation instead of looking at himself. He let's chronic pain patients go because he has a quota of certain drugs and will not help these people. His staff nurse eckenridge is a mean spirited know it all doesn't have a clue what your problems are just makes assumptions because nothing is in the computer. Records are atrocious at best. Keep repeating yourself because you need to and start recording on your cell phone!

I tried to see Dr. Levi in New Milford. I forgo pain medication so Dr. could see my pain. A 40 min drive, then an hour wait (some in this waiting area were talking about waiting even longer!). Finally escorted in to an exam room, assistant took blood pressure, then left saying the Dr. would be in shortly. 20 min later- still no doctor. I could not stay any longer; I was in too much pain. So can’t rate the doctor- never saw him. Just reporting my horrible experience with the office.

People do abstain from alcohol. Careful of this practice they will try to make you look bad! Getting accused of something you didn't do is horrible. Only they weren't too smart about it because I had another doctor appointment that day and they did the same tests he does only via blood. Guess what? Clean as a whistle. She's a lying sheep who follows her herder. Don't let them push you around remember he started with Dr. Kloth and is steadily becoming just like him.

This office is terrible. I have yet to be able to meet with a doctor. I've had two MRI's and been told I have a rare condition called Tarlov Cysts. I'm in so much pain and they have yet to help me. My work is very physical and my employer had temporarily granted me light duty, asking for my doctor to come some paperwork. This office has still not completed the paperwork more than two weeks later, after dropping it off twice, multiple office visits and phone calls. My employer gave me more than enough time to get this completed, now I'm back doing physical work I shouldn't doing, all because this office can't spend five minutes to complete this paperwork. Go anywhere else - this office is the worst!!

I have been seeing Dr Levi and Beth Anderson for 4 plus years. They are always willing to help me or get the procedure I need done. Greatest group. And because they work as a team, I get the benefit of several team members.

Yes, you will wait in the lobby for up to an hour some appointments, But that is bc Dr Levi answers all questions the patient may have, is thorough with all diagnosis and information, and must important makes patient feel comfortable with the care they are given. IMO he is the best, his staff is great, and I would wait all day if they are behind, bc he truly cares about all patients.

Dr Levi has been my doctor for years. My quality of life is wonderful because of his expert and compassionate care. I see Sandra Andersen when I?m not having a procedure. She is wonderful. I can?t say enough about how great the staff are at both the Danbury and New Milfor offices!

Dr. Levi recklessly over-medicated and under-supervised my elderly mother (b. 1933) who was prescribed oxycodone to relieve pain resulting from a pelvic fracture. A recent ER visit led to an ambulance ride to a detox facility 100 miles from her home, due to Dr. Levi having cut her oxycodone prescription from 25mg daily to 0mg, with no warning, and with no post-medication support plan of any kind. When her primary care physician called to suggest her opioid be tapered down gradually, and not cut abruptly to 0, Dr. Levi either lied, or was dangerously uninformed as to her status, telling the PCP she had not been taking the medication for weeks.

Great practice and excellent Clinicians. I appreciate all that they do to try to help me keep moving.

My best advice is to AVOID Dr. David Levi and go to Dr. David Kloth for your pain management needs. Dr. Levi is not nearly as knowledgeable nor is he expert at placement needles during injections RadioFrequency Denervations, etc. Dr. David Kloth excels in these areas achieving optimal results for the patient. Poor memory regarding your condition(s) and what he plans as your treatment plan(s). Again, AVOID and go to Dr. David Kloth for your pain management needs.

The whole problem with this office is that you cannot see Dr Levi after your initial encounter. If you have a procedure done, you will get your follow-up appointment canceled and they will ask if you want to see the APRN or PA. Of course you say OK, and then it starts. All Your follow-up visits will be with that designated APRN or PA. I myself do not mind this. I will see Dr Levi when I need an injection, then follow-up with the others. The only bad thing is that the others sometimes will NOT be able to catch or diagnose something else that might be going on with you if you have other issues going on at the same time. They really can't diagnose, nor should they be anyway. Some of the staff are APRN's that have been working in pain management for a year or two, so how much can they really help you? Anything major has to be discussed back with Dr Levi, and if you are lucky you will get a response to your question in a month or two at your next visits. Not really the best way to run a pain management office, but it is what it is. Most staff is OK, friendly, etc., except for a few who are downright rude. The biggest problem I have with this office is that no one ever answers the phones. Just about every call goes to voice mail and good luck on getting a return phone call. You need to be dying I guess before they feel it's important enough to get back to you. That problem should stop immediately. Put more phone lines in and an extra person on to answer the phone. NO medical offices operate like this and they need to correct this BIG flaw. I bet that Dr. Levi doesn't even know that this is happening.

From making an appointment, to calling me the day after my procedure to see how I am doing... Everyone is so nice and friendly. From the nurses to the receptionists, I could not ask for a better group of people. Thank you all!!!!!!!!

Dr. Levi, Sandra Anderson, and Renee at the front desk have been excellent with every visit and I highly recommend the New Milford Doctor's office to all of my family and friends. I have also been to the Danbury office and I highly recommend this office too, and the Ladies at the front desk are Awesome just like Renee at the New Milford office. The ladies (Nurses) that come in prior to seeing the Doctor or Physicians assistant have All been Great. Thank You All for Everything that You All have done with helping Me through this injury, You Are The BEST !!!
