Dr. David Levin, MD

I appreciated Dr. Levin taking the time to understand my symptoms, go over x-ray results with me, explain what may be happening, and offering advice on how to address my symptoms.

I came to the DC metropolitan area from Boston, so I am a medical snob. I was thrilled both times that I needed to see Dr. Levin for spinal issues, one resulting in microsurgery. He's relieve me of 35 years of pain to the point that I can play golf again, which was just a bonus. I would've been happy just to be painless. The people that I referred to him have been thrilled also. He's brilliant, his personal, and I think most of all I'm grateful for his professional ethics. He could post those patients who go to him for a second opinion, but if they're getting the right treatment from great doctors he provides them with reassurance and send them away. Having been treated by a lot of world-class doctors in my lifetime, and a few of the mirror average, dr. Leven ranks at the highest level of the world-class category.

I think Dr. Levin is not only a talented surgeon but a really nice person. He has been my doctor for the last 4 years. He really cares about his patients and listens to them and wants to help them with their pain.

He is thorough, kind, a good listener and an excellent physician. I’m old enough to know a good doctor when I find one!

Dr. Levin saw me today after I had moved here from PA. Though I waited more than my appointed time, I took this as a good sign. Most doctors just allot you their 15 minutes and done. Dr Levin did not. He took the time to listen to my history of lower back problems and then proceeded to evaluate me based on his own assessment at his office. I had already visited two other spine surgeons, but none offered to look at my cervical area, which Dr Levin did. Now I need to have my entire spine evaluated rather than my lower spine. Thank you Dr Levin. I have to have an MRI done and will come back to update my experience. But so far, Dr Levin is number 1 on my list, and he is the third spine surgeon i have consulted

I highly recommend Dr. Levin. He is very attentive and he always takes his time to listen to his patients. He's so knowledgeable and thorough. When you are dealing with chronic pain it makes all the difference to have someone like Dr. Levin who assures you that "we will figure this out".. and he did.

Unfortunately I have alot of disc problems and I have had 4 surgeries by Dr. Levin. He is kind and really listens to you and wants to help you. I have had an excellent experience with him and also his staff. They are always nice to me and I have never had a problem. I would never go to another spine surgeon. I think he is a very talented surgeon and also a very nice person.

Great Doctor takes the time to explain everything to you, and is alway friendly.

I have been going to Dr Levin ever since he joined this practice. He is excellent, and knowledgeable, timely, and honest. I’m so glad that he is my scoliosis Doctor.

I suffered a major injury playing sports. I am in good shape. Never had back problems before. I was on crutches and obvious pain for weeks. MRI showed far lateral disc hernia toon. He recommended an epidural and to come back in 3 weeks after his vacation! He also talked about spinal fusion without even mentioning far more common removal of disc fragment impacting spinal nerve and causing severe pain down left leg. I went to new doctor who saw MRI, saw that I was on crutches and got me into surgery in 5 days. Had I not switched I would not have gotten onto surgical table for 6 more weeks! Dr Levin has way too many patients and has become inattentive. Do not use this doctor!

My experience with Dr. Levin was a total success. It’s a scary experience having your spine operated on, Dr. Levin not only fixed my problem, but also, gave me a sense of confidence in his ability to help me remove my pain and make me mobile again. I am so happy I was able to be taken care of by him. Thank you Dr. Levin!

Dr Levin was just great. I felt like I was in good hands. He was also very sincere, and genuinely concerned about my well being. I am now doing physical therapy,(no surgery) and appear to be on the upswing. I cant say enough good things about the care he and his staff provided. Thank you again Dr Levin.

I have been seeing Dr Levin for many years for back related issues. Yes true, he does not run on schedule. Yet, every patient gets his utmost time and care. Never cuts you short. He has always been correct on diagnosis. Highly recommended.

Saw Dr Levin as a third opinion because the first two differed. He was wonderful in his explanations and helped me make my decision. He gave me alternatives with surgery being the last. He took his time and helped me see the problem. His staff was very professional and polite.

Dr Levin is pleasant but is ALWAYS running very late and his office staff is unprofessional to the extreme. If you don't mind waiting AN HOUR OR MORE beyond your appointment time on every visit and STILL not being seen (in some cases we have just given up and left) then you will be fine. The office staff actually lies about his schedule even when asked point blank how much he is running behind! We have even told we could not wait more than 30-45 minutes and they always tell us we are next (and it always turns out that there are actually 2-3 people still in rooms waiting to be seen). We have had it with this place and will find another practice.

Dr. Levin was very thorough and helped explain the issues concerning my injury. The clinical staff and X-ray technician were very kind and courteous as well. These are the reasons I'm with this practice for any orthopedic needs.

I spent two years in horrific pain and was told pain management was the only option. He was able to see that a previous spinal fusion never fused and that two titanium screws snapped, a fact that six other specialist missed two +years prior - including the neurosurgeon who performed the fusion. Dr. Levin saved me from more years of horrific pain, isolation and depression.

Procedure and recovery went exactly as planned. No surprises, feel great

Dr. Levin takes the time to really ensure a thorough evaluation. He is empathetic to your needs and cares not only about your short term health and relief but the longterm as well. It's always easier (at least for me) to deal with medical issues when you can fully understand it. He does a great job of explaining exactly what is occurring in your body and how to fix it. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes at both his Rockville & Germantown locations. I highly recommend!

Dr. Levin is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. The only thing he practices well is racial preference. And treating patients like idiots pushing for everyone to go under surgery no matter the success rate or patient's condition. Save yourself a migraine--not a headache, a migraine--because Levin and his staff will literally laugh and yell at you with no hesitation. It's quite sad that they can behave so shamelessly.
