I had back surgery 5 years ago and my husband 3 weeks ago. From the first meeting, we were impressed with Dr Oliver Smith’s demeanor , professionalism, and knowledge. His skills are second to none! We both recovered beyond our best expectations. Especially important to us was that we saw him personally on our first visit to our surgery to our follow up appointment. HE operates on you! His staff is also great! His PA, nurses, and office staff are professional and accommodating. We could not have ask for better care!

Hi, I'm writing this to give Dr Smith a 5 Star recommendation !!! I had Back surgery over 3 yrs ago. I was in so much Pain, that I couldn't walk or lay flat on my back without Severe Pain, and so far, I haven't had any problems !! ?? Thank U

Great results. Had L3, L4, L5 laminectomy. Got rid of 80 percent of pain and have a life again.

After over 2 years of severe leg pain from Stenosis Pain, I decided to go the surgery route. They did a tremendous job and 80% of the pain is gone. Took a while to get an appointment but was worth the wait.

I wouldn't be here today..to give this review without him and his team...

Excellent doctor and staff! From my first appointment until my surgery, they have been amazing. Dr. Oliver Smith is great at what he does, as is Alison. They went out of their way to make me comfortable before, during and after my microdiscectomy. The whole office staff is efficient and friendly. They're the absolute best, I would highly recommend them.

Fabulous doctor! He took excellent care of my husband's complicated health issues with care and he made me feel confident that he knew what he was doing. He kept me very informed of every step...

Dr. Oliver-Smith is fantastic! I could barely walk and thought I would always be in pain, until he fixed my back. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He has a good bedside manner as well.

I was referred to Dr Olive-Smith by an exceptional doctor I see in Pa that was unable to help me with my years of ongoing back issues. His first referral was Dr. Oliver-Smith. He could not say enough good about him, even that he would go or would refer his family members. I was looking so very forward to seeing him, especially if you understood what I have been going through the past 12 years. But first you have to get an appointment, through his staff. This is, was a nightmare. I am from Wheeling, not caring how far, just wanting to find someone to help me. Was given an appointment, was within reasonable amount of time, days before the appointment it was cancelled and was called to ask to reschedule. Called back, this appointment was not within a very much needed time but no choice, so conceded with it. Was called a few days later from a nurse in his office saying that I needed to call if I wished another appointment ? called office back not knowing what was going on and found I had the appointment that I was given. Again days later called and this woman, never got her name, was rude and theatened if I did not call the office back to confirm an appointment she was going to completely take my name out of their system. Called back this time, was not a good day for me, pain level was at its highest and I was not rude nor belligerent but asked what was going on and who this woman was threatening me. Was given an explanation ? Finally appointment day came, and yes, I was called again to make sure I was coming to this scheduled appointment. Coming from Wheeling and never being in the area my husband and I thought we had given enough time to find this office, ran somewhat longer than expected but thought we had covered alotted time until will got into the parking garage, smallest for a hospital I have even been in and there are very few handicapped places. Took too much time trying to find a place which took me over the appointment schedule 16 minutes. When we found the office I was told that I was too late and I would have to reschedule. I was in tears at this point, the demeanor of the office was what I should have expected after what I had went through just trying to get an appointment. Was told the doctor would not see me, if I wanted to See him I had to reschedule. My husband was there and supported the offices way of not saying, you look like a problem patient, find a way to get rid of this one. Doctor I hope you read this because everything my doctor said about you is terribly false, you were supposed to be sympathic, considerate and genuine towards his patients. But I guess I am not your patient. And NO I did not reschedule, not that it is going to hurt you but I had to voice my view somewhere. If you are a great doctor, good for all those you have helped, but for some reason your office personal messed things up and labeled me as trouble. How wrong they all were, I had no intention of even bring up the appointment issue to you, I just wanted you to see if you could help me!

im very active again after surgery thanks to dr. oliver smith i play racketball and golf without pain.im 61 yrs. old and very grateful.

I have had two surgeries performed by Dr. Oliver-Smith. He replaced a disc in my neck and fused it. He operated on a severely herniated disc in my lower back. He is beyond great! I am lucky that my doctor referred me to him. You may not be so lucky to have your doctor refer you so I am!
