My family is full of athletes and so we suffer a higher number of slight injuries. Both of my sons have broken their arms, and my daughter only a finger so far. Amongst other injuries including myself Dr. Weissberg has been helping through the difficult recovery procedures more personally than doctors in the past.

Dr. Weisburg cut my shoulder when it was arthritis and should never have been cut--I have been told by two other doctors there was nothing that could have been done with surgery. Instead he exacerbated the situation and now I am looking at replacement (not with him)

It's simple, don't go to this Doctor. Total wait time in waiting room, 2 hours. Then they call 3 patients in at a time to the back room where you are "corralled" for another hour. Finally I get into a room where the Dr. spends 2 minutes with me, orders more xrays and more waiting time in the "corralled" waiting area. After his diagnosis and 4 weeks of physical therapy the problem still exists. Made multiple calls to his office staff who will not deliver a message to the Dr. or return a call to me. Not worth the hassle. Finding another Dr.

I did not feel Dr. Weissberg cared if the outcome of my small rotator cuff tear was successful. I waited to see him for 75 minutes. He enters the room, says hello, and then makes a personal phone call without notifying me. Before even viewing my MRI or doing a physical exam he says that I need rotator cuff surgery going off of the fact ive had some pain symptoms for a year. The rest of the appointment he used to make his case not to thoroughly examine me or m MRI. Unfortunately, I have become a shoulder expert, and he wildly exaggerated the abnormalities on my MRI and physical exam. He told me I can ask as many questions as I want, but after the first question. asked he sarcastically dismissed me probably because I challenged his recommendation. Oh and while I asked the first question he was typing the whole time about my case so that he could save himself time, but did not give me his full attention. Bottom Line, he is harried, not detail oriented, rude, and seems to be overconfident in the outcomes from surgery. Perhaps, he has financial problems, or is addicted to money. I do not trust him.

Have been a patient since 1997, has performed 4 different surgeries, and is a wonderful caring doctor. His new office at 379 Oakwood Road, Huntington Station, is more efficent in scheduling, which reduces the your wait in the lobby, as he is always busy, due to his excellence in every aspect. A very thankful patient.

I would not recommend this doctor. I felt like cattle being treated at his office. First, it's hard to get ahold of someone by phone - their hours are very limited with no ability to leave a voicemail or connect with an answering service. I had two visits, and I waited an hour for each appointment. Scheduling an appointment 15 minutes after they open, and ending up waiting an hour before you see the dr is just pure disrespect for the patient's time. And judging by the number of people in the waiting room when they open - it's obvious they are herding too many people through. Each appointment also lasted less than 10 minutes, and I didn't feel I was getting personalized attention. On my second visit, when I told him there was no more pain (due to PT my GP ordered) - he flipped through his charts and said the cortisone shot really helped. I had to tell him he never gave me a cortisone shot. I wonder what he was reading in my charts.

Liked this doctor a lot, but surgery for a torn rotator cuff left me with another herniated disc in my low back. Of course he denied it, but I had NO pain prior to surgery.
