Dr. Denise Renae Tonner, MD

Dr. Tonner is awesome. I have been to A LOT of doctors and she is really good. She’s super smart and really wants to fix your issue. The ONE negative review I saw probably was due to someone not wanting to pay the fee. She is worth it!!!

I have been with her for over ten years. I have seen many doctors as has everyone else. She was the first one in all this time that actually took the time to sit down with me and explain everything. I was with her for well over 30 minutes. It was then that I knew she the one for. I absolutely recommend her. I have on several occasions. If you what a knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate doctor, she is the one for you!

I have left messages for over a week to get an appointment I was supposed to have in the fall. I am not a new patient. Today when I called I was transferred to the "Pharmacy/Nurse Line" again." I called back and explained that I had left messages here before and noone called back. The response from Kim was "Sorry but I don't do nursing." I just need a phone call back! Your office staff is always a reflection of a doctor whether you want it to be or not.

Caring physician. Current in all areas. Gives the patient plenty of time to discuss their issues.

Dr Tonner is kind, compassionate and up on all the latest diabetes info and meds. The lab staff is excellent. But when I leave a phone message with a nurse THEY DO NOT CALL BACK! Also the office is completely closed on Friday.

Waited months after referral. Office staff is rude. First claimed they didn't get my referral. Then when they had it I followed up weeks later "it's on her desk". I was told it takes time. Called back after patiently waiting to be told I was declined. I am fully insured. I am glad I found out this is the way they run their practice. I don't need dr's who don't care.

I had an initial appointment with Dr. Tonner, she is very personable and easy to understand what she wants you to know. I would highly recommend her.

I saw Dr. Tonner and was actually pleasantly surprised. My previous endo was just in, out, see you next year. She didn't care about my concerns and Dr. Tonner is not like that. She took time to explain my blood work and sono. Very happy to have found her!

I could not have been more pleased with Dr Tooner and her office. It has been a rewarding experience dealing with her and her staff. She has put me on the right path and I am so grateful.

I have no problems with Dr. Tonner. Her staff can be discourteous and downright nasty. Dr. Tonner and her office are sticklers for being on time down to the minute. Be careful and make sure that if you must cancel your appointment, you give two days notice or you will be reprimanded.

Love, love,love, Dr.Tonner. She is the best. Very professional, extremely knowledgeable. Never have to wait for blood work appts. or for appts. to see Dr. Tonner. Her office staff and the doctors treat you as though your time is just as important as theirs. She offers alternatives to help you get the best quality of life -- as in adjusting dosages or trying different medications. She has realistic expectations of her patients and understands how difficult it is to adapt to new treatments and medicines while dealing with the everyday pressures of work, family and those stressful parts of our lives that make it tough for us to slow down. She is extremely compassionate and never makes you feel rushed -- makes you feel that your health is as important to her as it is to you. Have been to many doctors over the years -- Dr. Tonner is one of my favorites and one of the finest people I know.

I first visited Dr. Tonner as a result of having tumors on the thyroid. She is very thorough, an awesome relationship with her patients and very good staff. My only regret is that I moved back to IL and now I can't see her any longer. I would highly recommend her and her associates for all your diabetic and metabolic needs. She is tops in her field !!

Tried to get appt with Dr. Donner but waited weeks to hear from them! Staff was very rude. Fyi, they will request medical records (and a referral) before considering making you an appointment. Doctor will review your case before granting you an appointment. Staff informed me that this was to ensure that Dr. Donner's time was not wasted. Well what about the patient's time? Friendly advice...don't waste your time with this office.

Office Staff can be very rude. Don't miss an appointment...They will drop you as a patient. No exceptions!!!!! No excuses for missing, even being in hospital, will be taken into condideration.

Denise has been my doctor for 5 years and always has time to talk, even small talk about anything, never feel like she is rushed to get to the next patient.
