Dr. Pateder confirmed, as a second opinion, that my spine problem was as identified by a previous PA. This relieved me because the 1st diagnosis did not involve a doctor and Dr. Patederhas the knowledge and experience to relive my society on my back issua. Dr. Pateder and his office gained approval from my insurance company for an MRI which was no small feat. I thank himand his staff very much!

Dr. Pateder was working at a disadvantage at my recent first appointment as AC was not working on a hot summer day. Despite that he conducted assessment of my symptoms, x-rays, and ordered an MRI to more deeply evaluate for a targeted plan of action. He as well as staff was so competent and helpful, made first appointment fruitful as foundation of next step which hopefully is plan for wellness , that every patient desires, confidently based on that demonstrated competency and care.

Dr. Pateder was very thorough and explained everything to me concerning my Neck issues and what the options were. He took the time to listen and answer my many questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Pateder.

Dr Predator provided a complete review of my neck and was able to give me a written recommendation for physical therapy for my neck which has been a severe issue for me over the past week. This review resulted in treatment of my neck by INOVA hospital physical therapy department and direct improvement of my condition.

Dr. Pateder is a great spinal surgeon performed my ACDF multiple levels surgery. Dr. Pateder very clearly explained the problem, possible solutions , compassion of options , and recommended me the best possible solution to my case . I greatly appreciate the surgery that Dr. Pateder performed on L3-4-5, which immediately got rid of excruciating pain in my left thigh that had kept me from walking upright.

Dr Pateder is an excellent surgeon. I have been to see him three times for back related surgery. He has diagnosed my problems and performed procedures that restored my back to painless. He is compassionate, takes his time to explain back problems and the operation he wants to perform for correctly restoring my health back to where I can function without pain. I trust him 100 percent. He also takes the time to follow up with you to make sure everything is okay.

Dr. Pateder showed no compassion for my 76-year-old wife and hurried us through the two visits. He misdiagnosed my wife’s condition and referred her to pain management instead of addressing the source of her pain. Dr. Pateder told my wife her condition was normal and he sees this all the time. Her condition was diagnosed accurately by two other doctors later in the week as a recent fracture of a vertebrae. Dr. Pateder gave her four muscle relaxer shots. While helping for a few minutes, it only contributed to her discomfort. Obviously in a hurry, he gave a cursory glance for sterile gauze and, not finding one, he grabbed a paper towel from the paper towel rack to stop her bleeding. She went into the hallway and cried out in pain. Several patients stopped to assist her. I can’t believe Dr. Pateder still has his medical license.

Dr. Dhruv Pateder gets it. From his excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like, he’s terrific. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… I immediately felt at ease – and felt confident in my receiving expert medical care. Staff was great, too. Dr. Pateder has, to a great extent renewed my faith in Doctors in general, and surgeons specifically. My previous experiences have not always been what I had hoped for. I am aware that I am at times a difficult patient. Dr Pateder has at all times retained a good sense of humor and sensitivity to my needs. He also, in spite of having a large number of other patients, has a wonderful memory of our past conversations. Detailed in fact. His surgery has been successful in dramatically lessening the back pain I have suffered with for the bulk of the last 40 years. I’ve another procedure up coming to complete my lower back issues. I’d not consider a different physician for that operation. I’ll continue if need be.

Dr. Pateder is incredibly conscientious. He even called me on a Sunday afternoon after my procedure to determine how I was doing. That was above and beyond the call of duty.

Dr. Pateder is an amazing Surgeon! After years of other doctors not figuring out the problem, he had it diagnosed correctly on the first appointment, and a plan of attack ready to go. L4/5 Surgery was completed quick and easy, had me out of the hospital quickly, and back home healing perfect. He is by far, the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, and wouldn’t hesitate in the least bit, to have any other issues in the future taken care of by him!
