Over the last 55 years, Dr. Ferrante is easily in the Top 3 doctors I have ever been associated with. I could go on and on about his complete care, beside manner, follow-ups, professionalism and compassion toward his patients. He shows genuine concern for you. My wife thinks he hung the moon !!!

I've never been sedated for one and having him as my new Dr.,we discussed this option for my 4th. scope,which he deemed necessary . I was first knocked out for my endoscopy,but was awake for my colonoscopy. We talked during it and he did biopsies (which don't hurt). I was exceptionally pleased with the quality of both procedures,even though I only watched one. Anyway,he's fun to talk with during a scope and has a wonderful bedside manner. The only downside is waiting for my biopsy results,which he will phone me about,since he calls his patients and discusses results. Dr. Ferrante is an exceptionally wonderful Dr. and I highly recommend him. And for the 10% of the population who want a drug free scope,he's your man!

I recently moved here from New Bern NC and wanted a good GI Doc. My cousin and Dr. Grimm,from Chapel Hill recommended him. I really like him,he's quite,friendly and definitely put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Ferrante for all your GI needs.

Dr. Ferrante is one of the most down to earth physicians I have ever been to. He treats his patients as if they are family members. He is very knowledgeable and relates the process he will go through while he is treating you. Love, love him!!!

Very engaged and passionate about patient care, including followup on maintenance medication and preventative care. Staff interaction and communication for colonoscopy preparation and instructions was less satisfactory.

Dr.Ferrante is a wonderful,caring doctor. He always has time to listen and even called me personally when I was having colon problems. He is very knowledgeable and gives you a sense of comfort. I feel very grateful to have him as my gastroenterologist. He also has a great office staff, kind and helpful.

Dr. Ferrante is one super doctor. I have been seeing him for over 10 years. I have not had a doctor that takes whatever time needed with his patients like Dr. Ferrante. He's one of the finest around.

Dr. Ferrante is wonderful, kind, great bed side manner. He tells patients how it is, not beat around the bush. If you have a stomach problem he will get taken care of. If you want someone who will listen and do right by the patient, this is your Dr.

This is in regards to the Scheduling Desk. One type of courtesy is professional, caring, and a gentle voice. The other kind is the Dawn kind. Obviously, none of the above.

I think this guy is one of the best doctors in north Alabama. He has a wonderful bedside manner--very friendly and funny, but he listens well and becomes very serious when you are talking to him. I think he tries really hard to put his patients at ease because let's face it--colon problems can be pretty embarrassing! He genuinely seems to like his patients too, which again, seems kinda unusual but really just NICE to me. I first saw him for a colonoscopy, and I've made several trips to him since for various problems, and each time, he was the same--very kind, friendly, attentive, and thorough. During one visit, he even admitted to me when I told him about an unusual symptom, that he hadn't heard about that and he said he would research the symptom to see if it was really related to what was going on, or another problem entirely. Wow! A doctor who admits he doesn't know everything! Refreshing! He is one of my favorite doctors ever--and for a colon specialist--that's saying a LOT. I have complete confidence in him! You can't go wrong with Dr. Ferrante!

Dr. Ferrante has an excellent bedside manner. A great sense of humor and is very knowledgeable. He takes time to listen to his patient and genuinly cares about them. I would definitely recommend him to a family member and a friend.
