Dr. Douglas William Halliday, MD

I just recently had a sliver-cut neck procedure. I told him what I wanted and got nothing that I asked for. My neck is still wrinkled and crepey. I am quite devastated. I paid $2500.00 that I saved over a year. I called and wanted my money back. They told me no and hung up on me. Buyer Beware!!!!

I had chin reduction surgery years ago. I experienced allot of uncomfortable pain like he chopped off portions of my nerves connecting with all my bottom teeth. Then I had to keep going back where he injected my chin with shots of steroids which literally made me scream! After being sent home the recovery was extremely uncomfortable "for years" always a nagging irritation at one certain point under my chin at end right side of scar. The scar is terrible looking. To this day I cannot stop poking that end part of my scar it has hurt and caused such pain in my teeth that I had to have teeth removed. My chin will forever ache and irritate me. I don't know what he did but I really don't think he really knew what he was doing. His "operating room" looked like just another random office setting with a table... now that I think back about it.. What was I thinking??! I don't think this was professionally done and I am regretting my decision. It was voluntary and I should have researched more Drs. I don't think a Dr. Should wing random surgeries that he's never done before when he specializes in something totally different. I was excited to have a new face shape and I'm regretting it every day it bothers me. Wish I had the money back I spent on that surgery! Listen ... Try to love yourself exactly the same way God made you! Stop making these Drs richer by making YOU into someone else!! When you mess with God's creation your gonna end up more unhappy than you thought you were before! It's never worth it! YOU "are" perfect!! God don't make mistakes!

I cant even get into the mess Dr. Halliday had created with me. All he cares about is money. I'd rather have a 12 year perform surgery on me, then him. The office is a big mess. Unorganized, fighting in front of patients. I was even put into a office and made to watch a video while surrounded by patient files stacked all over the place right next to my chair. I could have easily started reading some of them, when they left me in there for an extra 20 minutes after the video stopped.

Dr Halliday is always kind and patient with me during my aesthetic visits. I trust him for my injections of Botox and Fillers and have always been happy with my results. His staff, especially the manager Mary is also friendly and professional. Would recommend to others.

I have been going to Dr. Halliday for several years for VERY serious sinus infections and related problems. I find him to be extremely patient, knowledgeable and empathetic and an excellent listener. After some surgery, allergy drop treatment and following Dr. Halliday's carefully communicated allergy avoidance advice, I have not had a sinus infection for the last 2 years and have very little (10%) of the allergy symptoms compared to what I had experienced for literally 20+ years. This, after seeing at least 3 other doctors whose treatments did very little for my allergies and absolutely nothing to curb my every other month sinus infections. This is ABSOLUTELY TRUE! After gaining tremendous confidence in Dr. Halliday for my sinus problems I discussed some cosmetic (aging issues) with him. I found him again to be a GREAT listener, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely NO pressure to make a quick decision. I decided to have a Natural Lift and the results were absolutely great! I have recommended Dr. Halliday to many of my friends AND my 3 daughters for allergy related problems. His staff has also been terrific.

Poor Quality of Service

Dr. Halliday gave me sinus surgery, I had a nice nose when I went in. After, my nose now is wide and nostrils are different sizes. My nose still constantly runs.

As much as I have put off doing this review, I feel if I can save at least one woman money and frustration it would be worth the effort. I am sure Dr. Halliday and office have no bad motives with their practice. Their marketing setup is stellar. They are good sales people. But when you are in business that deals with people's looks - a big part of it is sitting down and making sure they are comfortable with the healing process - post-opt isn't it. Whatever overall rating means - ease of appt., promptness and staff get high marks - the rest not so good. As someone in their 60's who has been told for years how young she looks, I decided my eyes were too tired looking with the circles and I would like them freshened up as I recently lost my job. I was told the job market would have many young people and this would help with my gaining employment again. Well it's been almost 2 years and no I am not employed with the distinction I had prior. No I'm not holding them to that but I sure look tired as I started. I was told just before surgery he didn't realize how much skin I had and might need to do work on this again. Right there surgery should have been canceled or changed. Having been told it would be about 3-4 months out for healing, I didn't jump off the gurney. More than a year later doctors told me they could not touch my eyes as they were still healing. Unfortunately I learned too late the C02 laser was not the way to go and it would be over a year to operate again. I didn't have this much time holding myself down healing. I couldn't believe this. Any comments from Dr. Halliday were more surgery down the road, eyebrow lift after I already had my upper eyes done, botox (which when he injected caused an allergic reaction in my eyes), insults that I was trying to be a younger woman. Whoa. First of all no one was supposed to know this was done except a couple close friends. As it was, I went to Small Claims which he was prepared and I wasn't. Sincerity and honesty do not work - remember letters from doctors and pictures - bring them. His using a close up of my eyes is false as I have beautiful pictures of myself the week before that don't show the enormous bags under my eyes the judge bought into. It's a close- up!!!! Bottom line when it comes to your eyes - I encourage you as my eye doctor had - only eye plastic surgeons. Please take this seriously and good luck! P.S. Any rebuttal from this is pretty sad as I contacted their office so many times. He used in court that I told them I was actually laying down without elevation which was false after surgery and wasn't icing enough. I read and reread my instructions and contacted the office as needed asking questions or to be seen. Thank God I went in with the Aquaver complaint as over the phone they kept saying it was normal - on site - it was "OMG stop using it you're having an allergic reaction."

I have been seeing Dr Halliday for 27 yrs now for allergies and have had several surgeries. I will continue to receive my injections and I have also sent several of my friends and family/ children to him for sinus help. He and his staff are awesome to work with.

Thank you so much for your expertise!!!! I wanted to freshen my look. With the advise of Dr. Halliday, we decided on Radiesse to enhance my cheeks. Absolutely love it! I have received so many compliments from friends and family. I am now a regular patient.

i have had many procedures over the years with great results,

Dr. Giuffrida, Dr. Halliday and Dr. Janet Mckenzie are the most unethical doctors I had ever experienced in my life. I had an unsuccessful surgery in this office, I consulted with Dr. Giuffrida and he was extremely rude an not supportive of the permenat damege I got from my surgery in their office and he was extremely inconsiderate of my situation. I would never trust this doctor to operate on me. I had the worst experience in my life at this office after having an unsuccessful surgery with Dr. Janet Mckenzie one of the providers in the office. She operated on me carlessly, the surgery left me with permenat damage. When I went to my follow up visits the staff told me that she left the practice and they don't know anything about her. I was left with no support or solutions to my medical problems. They hired Dr. Giuffrida after about six months from my surgery, I would never trust this doctor's opinion. Dr. Halliday did not care about my surgery concerns. They told me that you signed the consent that you may receive unfavorable results. Dr. Halliday's and staff were very ignorant and did not offer any solution to correct my surgery. I would never recommend Dr. Giuffrida, Dr. Halliday or Dr. Janet Mckenzie . I don't believe they should be callled doctors. They do not provide the service they promise. I was left with no support, never heard an appology or support from Dr. Halliday or his staff. They were very ignorant to the situation that their doctor left the practice and the patients who had a recent surgery. No wonder their rating is very poor. I won't be surprised if their practice shuts down soon as a result of how they treat their patients.

This is the most unprofessional medical office I have ever been in. The office staff is ill advised, has issue with billing and returning phone calls. Dr. Halliday is rude, does not listen properly for a diagnosis, is quick to make surgery dates, not compassionate, and pompous.

my sinus problems started back in 2003 when i started having excruciating pain that made my teeth feel numb and extremely painful. luckily enough the pain would only last a short time but kept getting more and more as the days went on. when i went to see the first ent in oneida he dismissed my pain as neurological and then sent me to a neurologist in syracuse who then diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia? i was given neuro meds that gave me double vision and increased pain. so i finally got in to dr chafe in utica and said " you need sinus surgery". so he did and let me say it was the worse experience of my life with a total massacre of my sinus. to say the least i was discouraged but low and behold i found dr haliday and the guy gave me my life back. no packing no complications. i would highly reccomend him to anyone.

I had had suspicious sun damage spots on my face and was not happy with the work a dermatologist had done years before. I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Halliday and am glad I made the appointment. He was thorough, the wait to get an appointment and wait in the office was not too bad, and the work he did was excellent. He also took the time to reassure and advise me on taking care of myself regarding sun exposure in the future. I highly recommend him.

All he does is hit on you if your female. He is not a professional.

I had surgery undermy chin and under my eyes. I never experienced any pain during my eye surgery and after a year the underchin surgery is still a little itchy,but I am very happy with the results. My husband also had upper and lower eye surgery which came out great. My only complaint would be that you see the doctor at the consulting stage and just before you go into surgery and then never see him again!

Been with the good doc through thick and thin, his good times and bad, and all the trials and tribulations for over many years. I feel a little like a used cigarette just sucked dry of money then crushed out in the street with his his heel grinding me in. He doesn't see me anymore b/c he sloughs me off on one of his teen-age NPs or PAs b/c I am not on the supply-side of his incoming botox business. I don't want augmented breasts and I certainly don't want no animal nonFDA disapproved Botox eating up my body. This guy could of been a contender but after all he's been through and us patients didn't believe it at first....I kind of feel sorry for the old oswego Normal School grad. He won't touch me no more especially after the Florida thing and I was even there for the problems in AZ. Man I sure miss Patty but.....

Had rhinoplasty done nearly 7 years ago. A few weeks later called for a consultation to voice my concern about the bump which appeared on my nose and also a bump which formed on the side of my nose. Dr.Halliday stated to wait a year as the nose still needed to heal. He also commented that it would be difficult to correct the side bump and would require extensive surgery. Needless to say, the bumps were still there a year later and my nose truly looked worse than before. I will now seek revision rhino with a more skilled and qualified plastic surgeon. I was too vulnerable and naive. In retrospect, should have done much more research. Don't let computer images fool you. My results were terribly disappointing and costly.

Avoid at all costs. I paid 5900.00 for breast augmentation and was butchered. I have been in pain for one year, my whole arm goes numb to my fingers. Dr. Halliday hires fly by night plastic surgeons from other states. My surgeon took off and abandoned me in the middle of care. I need a new 6100.00 surgery because of over dissecting of my pocket and they put in the wrong size implants. Dr. Halliday covers up for his employees, wont admit wrong doing. His whole office is incompetent, argues constantly, and is disorganized. I am in PAIN. I am starting a blog concerning the whole mess these people created. I will post the link at a later time.
