Maybe I caught him on a bad day I don't know, but I was not impressed with him at all. My family doctor set me up to see him because I had been passing blood in my urine, CT-Scan confirmed a large kidney stone, so off to see Dr. Bull. I was treated more like a outsider (not by the staff), my blood pressure was 160 over 100 and he just blew it off as he turned to walk out of the room, it was pee in a cup and bring it back in a week and that was the way I was left. I don't care how much blood I pass, I will not be going back.

I’ve visited Dr. Trumbull’s office several times and there is always drama within the office. The attitude of the office staff is poor (Stacy). It’s unfortunate when a staff member represents a practice in a negative way and could possible destroy its reputation. Customer service is key and not allowing a patient ask questions without talking over them, transferring their calls or simply being rude doesn’t work well for anyone. Even during My initial visit with Dr Turnbull, I had to call back to their office because Walgreens had difficulty in filling the medication and (Stacy) stated “I don’t know what you want me to do about it”. Heck, I was just trying to figure out how to fill the medication. She told me that I would need to see him or his nurse when they were back in Foley. I would look elsewhere and avoid the drama. I feel sorry for Dr. Turnbull her deserves a better staff!

After a long week and a long night, I have to brag on Dr. Douglas K. Turnbull with Urology, P.C. in Foley, Alabama. I recently just moved to the Foley area from out of state, so I am not familiar with doctors or where I should go. After two emergency room visits with one telling me everything looked fine/sending me home and another saying I had a kidney stone and hopefully it would pass soon, I was determined to just wait it out. But after my two little buddies decided to start dancing around at 3 a.m. this morning up until 8 a.m., I realized waiting wasn't going to be the best idea. Thankfully as I was calling the urologists in town this morning, Dr. Turnbull told me to come straight down to his office first thing. I walked in, and he said, "how about we take these out?" He was so genuine and eager to help when he didn't really have to, considering I was a new patient. The procedure was simple, painless and I already am feeling good as new! Just wish I would have called him from the beginning! Didn't get to tell him thank you after the procedure, so definitely thought he deserved a recommendation and some love!

This was my first ever visit to a urologist. I went in got a shot and a very uncomfortable procedure. They did not bother to tell me what they were going to do. I felt traumatized. 6 months later after a month on antibiotics, an ultrasound, urine test etc. I ended up in the ER in severe pain with another UTI. I have had 19 UTIs in a 2 year period and have been pumped with antibiotics non stop during these past 2 years. All this in my records given by my family physician who made the referral.

I would not use this dr. again. He didn't ask any questions just said we will set up surgery tomorrow. I am on blood thinner and if he had read my records he would have known that. I had to tell him I was on it then he said we have to wait then. He is not good at review CT scan either.

Horrible doctor. My husband just went to him. This jerk DR spent 5 minutes with him and asked NO questions and left the room. After an hour and a half wait!!!! My husband could have Cancer and we wouldn't know. I will discourage ALL from seeing this guy who should not have a medical license!

a week from diagnosis of bladder infection to actually prescribing an antibiotic takes a week. good luck if you can get a bladder analgesic in the meantime. does anybody care that a patient is in pain for a week and probably the bladder is scarring while they are doing what? does coastal Alabama has a urologist and staff that really cares? to rate a practice you aren't asking the right questions. its nice to be prompt and available if you actually followthru as promptly. if I knew a urologist within driving distance who would see that I get the treatment I need without delay, I would change drs in a new your minute.

One of the few exceptional doctors I've had the pleasure of meeting. His dedication to patient care is truly remarkable. Many doctors often times, rush through appointments without treating the patient as a person; let alone a person in pain or suffering. Dr. Turnbull has restored my faith in doctors, it was as if he took my disease personal as if I was his son. He is a remarkable doctor who has always seemed to give his all when treating me. I recommend him to all suffering with urinary or kidney problems. This is one doctor who has actually helped me

I credit Dr. Turnbull with saving the life of my son on TWO occasions. My son has now developed another life threatening illness and I have tremendous confidence that he could be in no better hands than those of Dr. Turnbull.
