I understand some nasty comments but Dr. LaCava truly cares. If you can put up with his dry sense of humor, he is a really an excellent doctor. Evergreen Hospital has spread him pretty thin so to see as many patients as possible. So much so now, that I can see him only two times a year now when I should be seeing him 4 times... He has too many patients. I try to schedule several appointments ahead of time but they only let me schedule on, the next avaialble and that was 6 months. After my hospitalization from a thyroid storm, he called me at home several times to check up on me, not just as my doctor but almost as friend...

I've been seeing Dr. LaCava for more than 10 years. He knows what he is doing and answers all questions with good information.

Unprofessional staff. When I changed doctors, they faxed not just my chart, but copies of phone messages I had left with my questions, my desire to postpone treatment, the number of times I rescheduled appointments, with the secretaries notes: "she rescheduled again," (and it was underlined). I'm sorry, is it a crime to reschedule an appointment? They also made a 'new age' joke about me having a yoga magazine. Maybe I didn't want treatment with you because I didn't feel comfortable. Thankfully, I have found the most compassionate people at UW medicine.

This doctor is condenscending and rude. Never let me finish a sentence nor did he listen to a word I said. He is not just over the hill; he is in a messy heap at the bottom on the other side.

I hate going to the doctor but I actually enjoy seeing Dr LaCava. He has turned my heath and my life around

Outstanding physician and individual

I went in today and saw Dr. LaCava for a thyroid issue. He really knows his stuff and has a great sense of humor as well! He helps you feel relaxed and takes time to explain things thoroughly. Even though he didn't have all my lab work, he was still able to give me all the facts. I highly recommend Dr. LaCava to anyone looking for an endocrinologist.

In 97" I had what you would call Thyroid Storm.All my vital organs were shutting down. I was put on a life support machine for a week at Evergreen Hospital. He is one of the reasons I'm alive today.

Dr. La Cava spends a lot of time with his patients and is remarkably good with Diabetics. He is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to biomarker goals like A1C. Overall he's a really nice guy and the best doctor I've ever had.
