One spine clinic said they couldn't do surgery. For a second opinion I went to Summit Orthopedics. After trying the conservative spinal injection route that gave very temporary relief, i was referred to Dr. Santos. I met with him and then surgery was scheduled. Now 9 days after surgery i have none of the butt to leg nerve pain that was debilitating. Thank the Lord for excellent medical care.

Dr. Santos performed back surgery on me over a month ago. Coming for my Post-Op exam I was filled with anxiety - but he took the time to explain things to me, and reassured me things will be "ok"! He is very kind and personable! The actual pain has gone now, just dealing with the residual uncomfortable tolerable pain, that will go away. Great doctor!

I'd had 3 back surgeries by other surgeons, usually about 5 years before another one was required. Dr. Santos operated on me 8 years ago and I'm still going strong. He is professional, highly knowledgeable and conservative in his approach: in my case, he didn't rush into surgery without careful and frequent monitoring.

I saw Dr Santos twice, about one year between visits. He was very pleasant and a very good listener. Both visits were to discuss/explain my MRI results. Dr Santos was very thorough and I left the office with a much better understanding of my condition.
