The staff decide not to accept digital proof of insurance. They want the actual card. Well that is illegal and blue shield agrees and contacted them as well unsuccessful. A complaint against this doctor was filed with blue shield of California and hopefully they’ll drop this horrible doctor from their list. I would even let these people walk my dog

Terrible!!!!! Saw a NP, Albert Liu, and instead of helping, he added anxiety because he wants to get me off meds that Ive been taking since 2005. He wanted an appointment every two weeks!!! Ive through three psychiatrists and none of thrm pressed me the way a NP did. Half an hour is too much time to waste when they have their own personal goals.

Dr Yacoub is in the business like a merchant that sells products that have people coming back. With an MD, he has his front desk personnel and NPs not waste a single extra minute of time within the 3-5 minutes that they have, they need to prepare for another another patient that waits for its 3-5 minute “care”. Neck and neck with time, Dr Yacoub’s office is about no talking or interrupting his money making mill. Serious investigations are imperative in putting this office back to legal standards. I would advice that prospective and current patients understand the basis of this malfunctioning machine that has a doctor manage an office based on his wizzardly pop up diagnosis and follow ups in minutes and treatment; after that Patients are rendered and trained to be silent. His office is a Quack Quack office that needs authorities to see behind his MD license- behind his curtain.

Healthprep and Psychology today offer a check list on what to look in a psychiatrist. P today informs that a doctor, “Spends an adequate amount of time with a patient and asks targeted questions that enable him/her to at least try to figure out a diagnosis and treatment plan.”. How can this be possible if the np or doctor spends less than dive minutes with a patient because he has a whole waiting room full of patients? Many red flags here, no communication is permitted unless you want to get that annoyed look you get from the fromt desk. You are sub human at this office, even more if you attempt to talk about your mental illness. Look elsewhere, save yourself the loss of human dignity as well as receiving the wrong meds.

I saw an Intern at the doctors office and was prescribed an anti-depressant. Three days after starting the meds I was experiencing unusual side effects and called the doctors office out of concern and had a friendly conversation with whomever answered and was told I would receive a call from the nurse later that day. Two days after that, not having received a call, I called again and left a message this time. No return call ever. I subsequently called 3 weeks later to cancel my scheduled appt. and still hadn't heard from them. This was an awful experience that I would not wish upon anyone

Their front desk clerk gives her own bad breath Tonsillitis diseases to all patients because they have sick ill workers breathing on patients and instead of Ehab Yacoub they force a nurse on you WITHOUT telling you then they try to force a STUDENT to replace the nurse

Notice how the five stars here are one sentence. Notice how there are few 5s, and the rest are 1 stars. The 1s here- recent or date back several years- are more lengthy. This is because the 5 stars are most likely fake. This office needs to be evaluated by a health official.

This office is terrible. There is no ventilation, no air conditioning, very dusty and stale air dirty waiting area. What is worse is that the hour wait passed your scheduled appointment is that you get 0 treatment. You go through the hassle of rude front desk administration, then you see your doctor for less than 5 minutes. This place is not a real doctor's office- go elsewhere if you don't want to go through a horrendous ordeal and be set back on getting to a better place in your mental wellness. This place is not a mental wellness office, it is a mental madness office where it is crazy to even call this place an actual place. YELP --- 1.5 rating there! The first review on yelp has a 5 rating even though the huge majority of the yelps there give a 1 star rating. That place is a dump and the treatment is stunningly 3rd world.

Dr. Yacoub and his staff (the front desk) are ill informed on what is professional conduct. Dr. Yacoub fails to reprimand and put back into order his front desk personal. This is especially the case with Joanna who is an awful human being that should not be around patients or customers. She has her friends write her reviews on Yelp because too many people have complained about her there. A review on her obvious own behalf was posted up there which was brought down (maybe because she wrote it herself). She also has changed her names various times. This place is a circus! Do not put your mental treatment into the hands of these people; I would not even allow them to make me a cup of coffee!

The administration at the front dessk is rude- Joanna or Naomi (whatever she calls herself) is shady. Anyone who keeps such a person at the front desk is gambling with mental healthcare. This person is right to give herself an alias- a fake name like Naomi. Her real name is god knows what- Joanna? She is a rude, abrupt and senseless person that does deter people from getting the medical needs they need. I had to leave that office because of the awful treatment I received from the front desk – mostly the administration there- is ill comported because of how such an ill mannered person could have been a front desk person recieving actual patients with the insensitivity of an ignorant and substantially ill suited person to receive and be the first person to see her or his psychiatrist. Awful experience there I will not forget.

I wonder over the legitimacy of those reviews who say that the staff is wonderful. Take a look at Yelp, so many reviews that portray a much different picture than some of those written here. I wonder who in fact writes these reviews as well as in Psychology Today and other sites. I am very certain that many of these positive reviews are not accurate by far, and that they might be written by staff members themselves or those they know. That staff- front desk personal- in the Gardena office are atrociously disrespectful, unprofessional and in serious need of re-evaluation and perhaps a report should be submitted to prevent people like them from working with patients. I highly do not recommend this place, and I advice that you look onto these reviews very skeptically. It is very shady and hard to believe that good things could be said about the front desk. I am no longer a patient there because of the anxiety they produced, and the unhealthy environment is poison to anyone who is a first comer. Remember: new patients are vulnerable to terminating treatment as there is hesitance to seek help out of fear of stigmatization and hopelessness. A front desk with an ugly surly expression on their face, a demeanor that says you are unwelcome and a bother is dangerous to the medical industry as these faces are the first people patients see and talk to in person or phone. Phone conversation with this office have been very impolite to the point of also hostility. I warn that the positive reviews on staff here are very fishy, and I wonder over their validity.

Serious consideration on hiring or evaluating front desk administration must be handled with scrupulous care. These are patients that they are habdling, not a prisoner in jail. Joanna has a hostile disposition and seems bothered by patients. The responsibility lies on Dr. Yacoub who has patients handled by a nurse Ratchet- front desk person. Very very bad and anxiety producing environment thanks to the front desk personnel whi hates her hob.

Wait time was o.k. Doctor himself... After providing him with a list of my currant medications, spent all of 10 minutes with me. He then wrote a bunch of 'scripts and walked out. Stupidly, I went to fill the prescriptions only to find out, he had duplicated everything on the list I provided him. I am in need of a doctor, not a quack.

What I didn't like is that you go here expecting to talk with a psychiatrist but end up talking to a Nurse practitioner that asks you questions from a list and gives you a prescription. Was over in 20 minutes. As far as therapy, not going to happen here. They then refer you to a psychologist if you want talk therapy. They literally told me that. Ive never me Ehab and assume I will never meet this man. Unfortunately in SoCal there are very few options for psychiatrists that are taking new patients. Unfortunately most that do are just as this place is, A prescription giver and then your out the door so they can bill insurance for the next patient. I would go elsewhere if I could but at this point of desperation I take what I can get. Sad though

Dr. Yacoub is always pleasant and professional. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for psychiatric help.
