Dr. Elizabeth Ann Ouellette, MD

Not only were my appointments at 2 and I would be leaving at 6 every time , but the results of my flexor slide surgery on my left hand was a fail I went to therapy for months only for her to say to me there’s no therapy in the world that will help my hand. To begin with I couldn’t move my left hand and my hand was always closed like a fist and it caused tightness on my shoulder and she suggested the flexor slide plus she did another incision that was not necessary that made my left fingers hyper extend . There’s not a day that goes by after 7 years that I don’t think about how uncomfortable I feel . Not only uncomfortable the way I feel about my hand, but also the way it feels on a daily even when I’m sleeping . It’s horrible . In my last appointment after commenting about no therapy will ever help me, but to then suggest and draw another surgery for my thumb I couldn’t believe it. After I left I never went back. It was a bad experience that I now have to live with for the rest of my life .

Is exactly what I was told also “get another JOB!” This after a 3.5 hour wait. Rude lacking any degree of compassion. Horrible individual -I have since had surgery by another surgeon with speedy recovery minimal pain and YES have continued my JOB WORKING IN THE SURGICAL SUITE! Run from her as fast as possible

Thanks a lot Dr. Ouellette for making my hand worse after a year and a half! And the only alternative you offer at this point is to have another operation, which I will not because you promised me my pain would go away after my surgery. I should not have to have another operation of my knuckle replacement on my index finger. I did everything you asked of me and more, and I’m very disappointed in you!

Arrived today for an appointment at 12:30pm. I was informed upon arrival that they were running 3 hours behind, yet no one called to inform me. Unprofessional to say the least.

For 2 days tried to get appt was either put on hold for the longest time,or when finally some one took a massage, I never received a call back. Dr might be great but her office stuff lacks professionalism. Busy is not an excuse Hope Dr reads comments

Elizabeth Anne believes it is perfectly O.K. to keep patients waiting hours beyond their appointment time. I left after cooling my heels for over 1 1/2 hrs without seeing her. Her game, of course, is to make sure she has not even a minute of down time despite the major inconvenience to patients. This is rude. and an insult to patients. The canned excuses by her staff..ie., emergencies, consultations taking longer than expected, etc.. don't cut it. She is never early for an appointment, so thid is clearly a matter of ovetr-scheduling. Elizabeth Anne will continue to abuse patients until people stop putting up with it..as I did. No matter how skilled a doctor is, it's not worth it. There are hundreds of really excellent hand surgeons in the Miami area as alternatives. (All of this ignores the office administrative procedures that suck. Eg., fill out a whole bunch of forms, than have a tech ask the same questions all over again.).

I DROVE OVER 3 HOURS TO SEE HER ONLY TO FIND OUT SHE WAS RUNNING BEHIND BY 2.5 HRS, SHE SAW ME FOR MAYBE 10 MINS ORDERED A TEST TO HAVE DONE WHERE I LIVED, WAS TOLD WE COULD GO OVER RESULTS ON THE PHONE SO I WOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE MORE TIME OFF OF WORK TO DRIVE BACK DOWN THERE FOR A 5 MIN APT, I HAD THE TEST DONE AND WAS THEN TOLD SHE WILL NOT DISCUSS RESULTS OVER THE PHONE AND I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK DOWN THERE TO DISCUSS RESULTS, I WILL BE SENDING HER A BILL FOR MY WASTED TIME, STAFF IS VERY RUDE , THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR LYING THROUGH THERE TEETH JUST TO MAKE A BUCK.

I went to her because i heard and read good things about her. I did a surgery and did not improve a thing, just wasted time, money and i am beyond unsatisfied and sad with the outcome.

Dr. Ouellette was very highly recommended by my orthopedic doctor for a second opinion. I was not even given an opportunity to have a consult with her because I was told by a phone agent that she does not deal with car accident cases. Well, if I would have been afforded the opportunity of at least a consult than maybe we could have discussed the root problem which has nothing to do with the accident. I believe all things happen for a reason and I may have just been spared from a bigger problem. So thank you Mr. Angel Garcia aka phone agent.

Had wrist surgery in 2006 and carpal tunnel surgery in 2013. Both surgeries were done by Dr. Oullette. She is an unbelievable surgeon and person. There is no one like her. Rated one of the best hand surgeon's in the world. I can attest to that!!!

Excellent surgeon. I travel from Fort Myers to see her. Has a wonderful reputation around the country among physicians.

Office told me they took my program of cigna, and in fact they do not. Then they would not put the splint on my hand unless I paid them $284.00 more. ...

I was told they accepted my insurance, and it was not true. they did take cigna, but not cigna local pus, which i specifically asked about, 1. so the appt, scheduler doesn't know how to check insurance thoroughly 2. then , they wanted to charge me $285.00 to put my hand in a splint, which it needed, I still didnt know why this was costing, so i went & called my insurance,. and then they told me, they are out of network for my plan. so there I was having already been asked to pay them $50.00 co-pay, right when you walk in, and now after being seen, they wouldnt put the splint on, unless i paid another $285.00. I was really upset to find out like this, about my treatment, not being able to complete. the receoptionist was very snotty. and acted like she was being inconvenienced, rather than a medical professional who ought to help me solve this problem. I was also told by the appt. setter, that I would see both Dr. oullette and the nurse practitioner, which was again not true, I was only allowed to see Michael B., nurse practitioner. He was very nice, I must say. Dr.Oullette, I am NOT impressed with what I saw.... She was in the lobby, and saw me upset, and didnt even ask, what had happened, and THIS IS HER OFFICE. She just looked at me, turned her back..and ran back into her office to see her next patient. Instead of making sure, that everyone is happy, and cared for. She seemed like an oportunist, just avoiding a hurt, patient that needed help, and running to the easy patient, that had a different insurance, That is not a good impression of her professionalism, or waiting to hear why her office screwed up my time, and my care, in tellling me they did honor my insurance. and now I couldnt get my full treatment, after being seen, because they really didnt.--- they also ask you to print out and bring the office papers with you, and expect you to print out 15 pages on your personal home printer. I wouldnt do it. -----also to make an appt. you cant speak to a person. you are told on a recording to leave a message, or email in for a New Patient, how impersonal. they have no communication, which is why this insurance problem was allowed to happen. Dr. Ouellette, just tries to get the most with the least effort, and that comes across as self-serving and selfish.

She is the best hand surgeon !!! My mom who is 83 had surgery with her 3 years ago and she was amazing and her surgical staff. My moms had carpal tunnel and thanks to Dr. Oulette she can use her hands 100% without any issues or pain.

Dr. Ouellette is just wonderful. She is not only an excellent surgeon, but a caring and empathetic person. She goes beyond to help her patients. She performed surgery on both hands at the same time. Results were more than excellent, way beyond expectations. Went into the surgery with acute pain and woke up pain free and just so happy. Highly recommend!!!!

The best there is at hand/elbow surgery. I've seen doctor Oulette several times over the years and she and her therapeutic staff are first rate. There are long waits at the office but that is because Dr. Oulette spends lots of time with her patients. The wait is well worth it.

Wait times are very long, but the care she provides is well worth it.

She is the best! Well worth the wait. Office staff equally wonderful. Everyone's very positive!

I have only great things to say about Dr. Ouellette, she is not only a great hand surgeon , but has a great sense of humor, and great bed side manners..i would recommend this doctor over and over again..grant you i'am not the patient my husband is.
