Dr. Elizabeth Angela Russo-Stringer, MD

Dr. Stringer was awesome. I got in really fast, the nurse talked with me at length and didn't rush me. Dr. Stringer also talked with me at length and really listened to me. I don't want drugs and I made that clear. She made a plan for me that we hope will quickly relieve approximately 50% of my pain so I can get active again, lose this extra weight and then hopefully relieve more of the pain I'm currently experiencing. I'm pretty skeptical of these bad reviews. I didn't experience anything negative, and that's actually unusual with the medical profession. I will update this post if anything untoward happens later on.

Dr Stringer has done nerve braising on my neck. Where I had C-Spine surgery. 3-7. I was amazed and satisfied with the outcome. I can wear a heavy coat down on my shoulders. Sent in a movie . Everything that was long time events. Before the procedure. I'd be about crying or would be driving with my neck killing me. Bedtime was ruff getting my neck settled to rest and sleep. She's fixing to braise more nerves into up above the others. Or to see if any has attached back together. She does my Sciatic nerve for lower back and hip. I also got alot of arthritis. She has been my Dr for 5 yrs or more. Precedures are a little ruff getting those nerves. But I do pretty good. I just lay still and take some deep breaths from pressure points of precedure. And a few minutes it's over. I would recommend Dr Stringer to anybody needing pain management. She's very careful and caring In her work. Very knowledgeable in what she is doing .Thank you Dr Stringer for always being there for me . I've been through alot. Very eased with her.

She claims she will work with you on reducing your medications at your pace. She decided to reduce my pain meds by forcing me to reduce my meds at her pace and does not listen when you ask her to slow down because I was getting sick from withdrawals and was eventually not able to continue working. She will charm you with her lies and when you are unhappy with treatment she claims to be too busy to see you and dumps you on a nurse quack titioner and she really treats you like a drug seeker and a drug addict. Please stay away at all costs

My friend was a patient of hers for a short time. She behaves as if every patient is a drug seeker. Her staff couldn’t even get my friends name right on the papers she was given. She put my friend on an antidepressant when she has NO history of depression at all. Perhaps if she were to end up with life long chronic pain and see how it feels and how you are constantly judged she would grow a heart.

Dr Stringer is a fantastic doctor. She listens to you. She does not rush. She explains the procedures so I can understand them. Totally different from previous doctor I had. I am completely satisfied with Dr Stringer.

Best ever. Love n miss here. Was a patient for 10 years till the day she moved.

I have been under her care for over a year. She never ordered my FCE and has now left her practice a spine diagnostics center and has left me hanging for 2 months. The center has been no help in fixing the issue .

Dr Russo is a great Dr. She makes sure you are not abusing your meds and as sweet as a button, she gives it to u straight and listen to the facts, and take urine test, and bld WK. !! I love her. She Respect's your wishes and don't pull punches !! My name is maeola hagood !! I have one kidney and want to keep it !!! I wish there were more Doctor's like her

Love Dr. Stringer! She spends adequate time with her patients, listens to concerns, and certainly doesn't rush! She is willing to get to the bottom of the issue at hand and never gives up! Her staff in Denham are amazing (even though I know they follow her to both clinics). I'd trust her with my closest family and friends. So glad she is a pain management doc, they need more like her in practice :)

Dr Stringer is a great Dr. She always has time to listen to your issues and works to find a solution. I recommend her all the time. I have 4 family members that see her. I've been seeing her since her days at CPM. She's never been anything but great. Her staff is the best too. Brittany goes above and beyond anytime I need something. I am so grateful to Dr Stringer n her staff, I will continue to use her as long as she's n practice.

If she spent less time interrogating you and more time listening to you she might one day be a good pain management dr. She put me on a medicatuon, I told her I could not take, ended up having a wreck, cannot remember 5 days, ended up in the hospital, being incoherent I could not tell them I was having a reaction to this medication, they diagnosed me with COPD, after a hospital stay, I have gotten three opinions, one from a lung specialist, and I had a reaction to the medication. She can be bought, all about who can pay her more. She is rude and pathetic. And I found her staff to be the same way.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Stringer to anyone. The wait time was horrible and when asking office personnel any questions whatsoever, I was treated with such disrespect I will not be returning. It's sad to be in such pain and to be treated so poorly. Someone needs to report this office and have these people's certifications revoked.

Long wait time with each visit. She is very nice and takes time with me. Walker and meds needing her approval - still not received in nearly a month, still waiting on walker and medicine documents to insurance so prescription can be filled. But, I like her and time she takes with patients.

We were both given referrals and we were told that Dr. Russo would have to review the referrals and medical diagnoses, and only then would she make a decision whether to allow us to be accepted as her new patients. Our primary confirmed with Dr. Russo's office that she had accepted us as new patients, that her office does in FACT take AMERIGROUP MEDICAID, that we we're both on Amerigroup MEDICAID as a secondary Insurance only, and then I personally also spoke with Dr. Russo's office to assure that she in fact takes both our primary insurance and our secondary too, which is AMERIGROUP BAYOU HEALTH w/MEDICAID. We got a "Yes"! ** Our appts. were scheduled on different dates and we went. The first appt. she asked us to go to LANE REGIONAL HOSPITAL to do the xrays necessary for her to see previous diagnoses, her own, etc..., so we DONE IT the very same day! Days later @ my scheduled appt., Dr. Russo completed a full exam. I tried discussing my current, previous diagnoses, medications, physicians who tested and diagnosed me and all that I thought was pertinent information to my reason for having the appt. with her, so that she could possibly help me. I WAS REFERRED DUE TO BEING DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERAL AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES THAT HAVE NO CURE! After the exam was completed, & as I am answering/asking some questions, she tells me "I DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICAID so YOU WILL BE GETTING A BILL FROM HERE." I asked, "What do you mean you do not take Medicaid, because not only did my Primary confirm both our insurances with your office, but I DID TOO"!!! I also explained and questioned her because MEDICAID IS IN FACT LISTED ON HER WEBSITE as 1 of the insurances she DOES accept??? I REMINDED HER that she just seen my other family member just days before and WE BOTH HAVE THE SAME EXACT PRIMARY INSURANCE, as well as our secondary insurance is AMERIGROUP MEDICAID too, that she saw my family member, now saw me, but...yet after. , only AFTER she completed my full exam and appt., only NOW she was telling me this!!!!! I knew this was NOT true!! I was very hurt and disappointed, because these appt.'s meant H-E-L-P for the 2 of us!!! I discussed forhandly all of our diagnoses and they said they DO TREAT the types of dx we have, as well as discussed in great depth our primart & secondary insurances with her office, not only once, and she saw one of us and sent off for tests/xrays @ LANE, but now she states that she does NOT take MEDICAID and informs me I will be billed for both of us....and worst thing is when I told her IT IS A FACT SHE KNEW WE HAD MEDICAID and that the 30' something yr. old young man & others see saw while I waited my turn, well, he also stated to her office in front of us that HE TOO HAS MEDICAI, but she saw them first. FISHY??? NOW WE ARE HOME!! YES, we are very upset how I was treated. Not only did I get put into an exam room and have to be left there till everyone else was seen first, BUT, to be LIED to, well, that's just "ADDING INSULT to INJURY"!! Dr. Russo's nurse/or assistant told me before I left that... "I do not know anything about how the billing or how insurances work, so I guess i will have to call our Baton Rouge office and talk to the ladies there"! SHE ALSO HAD A SMURKY GRIN on her face when I reminded her (the asst.) that even she told me that they did in fact take the AMERIGROUP MEDICAID that we both have as secondary. I also asked her why did she ask me for our Medicaid cards at our appointments and she even filled out our insurance info. with me face to face both appt.'s and that she/they confirmed this with me/us, my primary and even with LANE REGIONAL HOSPITAL where xrays, etc... had to be done???? The asst. smurked and played innocent! This was cruel!! I told her that NO MATTER WHAT, that even if I am not seen there anymore, that I would move "HEAVEN and EARTH" to assure that my son could still be seen and treated there by DR. RUSSO, and only because he needs help for his dx and that there was a limited access for a SPINE SPECIALIST when it comes to AMERIGROUP. We have no choice! We have to go where our secondary insurance allows us to go! *** I drove straight to my primary and told a nurse there what had just taken place and how I was told by DR. RUSSO herself that she does NOT accept our Amerigroup MEDICAID, yet she'd seen us both on two seperate appt. dates. I told my primsry's RN that she even CONFIRMED with Russo's office that they do in fact accept our insurances and she (RN) stated to me that every doctor can choose to or not to accept a new patient or the MEDICAID, etc... *** BUT, WHY WOULD DR. RUSSO see us and then use the MEDICAID as a reasons to no longer see us....WHEN it is even listed on her website, her offices' and elsewhere, as well as to my face/& on phone and to my primary's office personnel who checked???? I felt judged by Dr. Russo...not to mention, she must have forgotten she just saw my teen son just days before and YES, they went over our Medicaid insurance then too and we presented them with the medicaid cards then. Note, they knew both our ages then and about both medicaid being secondary. This is NOT acceptable and definitely NOT right!! Oh, the 30 something yr. old man forgot his medicaid cards at his scheduled appt. but I watched him be seen before me. Hmmm....very fishy??? I have already confirmed with Dr. Russo's other offices that she DOES see AMERIGROUP MEDICAID parients (currently) and also pts. in both our age ranges. *** Has anyone ever ran into a similar situation?? Am I the only one???? I really liked Dr. Russo I only wanted to be treated like any other person.

I was and still is a patient of her's before she opened her own practice and I loved her so much, b/c she was so caring and so accurate on all of her diagnosis. I felt and still feel safe and secure as long as I have her as my doctor. She has the best staff, they are so nice. I love the nurse Rachael, she goes above and beyond and I adore Brittany and Sarah. I would follow Dr. Stringer anywhere's she goes. She knows me like a book and what is the best decision when it comes to my medical problems and I trust her with my life!!!! I would give her a 5 star but they only let me do 4, but she is very professional and always trying to do whatever she can to help her patients get to the root of the problem and she is very well respected. She never rushes you or makes you feel like she doesn't care. She is the best!!!!!!!! She has gotten me from the worst pain, down to moderate pain and still hasn't given up on me. I would never trust anyone when it come to surgery, but Dr. Stringer I trust with any decision she makes. I left Comprehensive Pain Manangement b/c they didn't know my chart, nor did they read it and they were very rude and impatient and I searched high and low for Dr. Stringer, she is more than just a doctor, she is problem solver and someone who cares about her patients and for that i think i speak for everyone, WE LOVE HER!!!

Since 2003 my wreck I have seen many of doctors Dr stringer has been the best . She is a doctor who cares, doesnt over medicate ,she listens to you and follow up on what you tell her.I am lucky to have this doctor on my team .

I cannot even begin to state how amazing Dr. Stringer is. She's patient, kind, and actually works with me as a partner instead of as a dictator.She expects you to work on healing as well, which I appreciate very much. She is also very conservative, preferring to make small changes over time to make sure you have the least problems with new medications and such. I saw her at Comprehensive Pain Management, and will be following her to the new clinic. She's a wonderful doctor, and a wonderful person as well.

I saw Dr. Stringer when she was still in BR. I went in on a Friday for severe back pain from a huge herniated disc. Monday she injected it. 7 months later, I am still having great relief! I will certainly see her in the Denham office. It is closer to my house and her staff in BR was pretty bad. I highly recommend her!

I recommend this specific physician because she helped me with my chronic pain and I was sad to see her leave CPM. Hope to return to her as a patient. She was easy going.
