Dr. Elliott Lowell Semble, MD

Dr. Semble is a great doctor! The staff is very nice, but sometimes Rita is unfriendly, but I will continue seeing Dr. Semble!

I have been seeing Dr. Semble about 10 years for my arthritis . and he has done more for me than any other Dr, before him.

Very thorough Dr.. When I was having back problems , in a great deal of pain ,he was concerned and suggested that I should push for my family doctor to do an MRI at which time I was correctly diagnosed with a slipped disc. I am forever grateful to him ,as my rheumatologist and for caring for my overall health..

A very gentle and courteous man. He will take his time and explain everything out for you, he listens. His staff is the nicest staff I've ever encountered from a long list of medical professionals I've seen through the years. He also treats other family members and we are all equally satisfied and very fortunate to have him as our physician. He is a one of a kind of doctor and we need more like him.

We had to wait only 1 time out of 5 to see him.

He spent less than 5 minutes in the room. He was unconcerned about new symptoms and disregarded my concerns. Basically all about handing out pills and collecting his fee, not in helping his patients.

another RA doctor is not interested in treating all he wanted to do is pain meds.

Gruff, uncommunicative; constantly in-and-out multitasking with other patients. VERY dissatisfied.

I saw Dr. Semble after being treated for 2 years for rheumatoid arthritis by another doctor and having very little pain relief. Dr. Semble was very thorough and has been very diligent in managing my pain and offering suggestion of self help. I would recommend him as a very capable doctor.

Dr. Semble is a great doctor after a yr of test ing for all kinds of this my PCP sent me to him . He discovers my RA & Fibro, he worked with me with different medication & got everything under control. You sometime have a long wait time in his office because of his great bedside manner. But it is worth it.

I first saw Dr. Semble about 4 years ago and dew to back problems and the 60 min. ride to see him changed to a new rhumatologists closer to me. Didn't take long to realize he was much more knowledgeable and had much better bedside manner. So after back surgery and recovery I returned to Dr. Semble.

I called for WEEKS only to get voicemail, left messages, no one ever called me back. I finally reached a live person, only to be told Dr. Semble will not accept new patients with medicaid. This seems discriminatory to me, I was eager to visit this doctor, and basically cannot because I am poor. If there is a better reason I would love it, but the receptionist (who was very rude) just curtly told me that is the way it is and good luck in my search for a rheumatologist. So thank you Dr. Semble. Thank you for not accepting poor people at your practice. (Medicaid pays for EVERYTHING, so there is not the worry of not getting paid)

For several months I was bounced to dr. after dr. who ran the same blood tests. I was told I had everything from the flu to a virus to fibro and one dr. said my debilitating pain was in my head. Finally found a great GP who immediately recognized I had Rheumatoid Arthritis and sent me to Dr. Sembel. Dr. Sembel got everything under control with prednisone...the next day I could move again. He got me started on Enbrel which worked great. I now take Remicade because I also have another auto-immune disease. Remicade keeps both of my diseases in check. I'm 38 and to look at me you would never know I was sick. That's because of Dr. Sembel. I have 3 young children and I don't have time to be in bed, unable to move, unable to live with the horrific pain RA causes. Dr. Sembel gave me back my life. He is the best dr. anyone with RA could have.
