Dr. Mangubat was very clear with pre and post op instructions VERY understanding of issues of being non-binary rather than on either far end of the gender spectrum Just really available, answered all questions quickly!

Overall I would say that this was probably one of the best experiences I have had in a good majority of practices. This office has one of the kindest and nicest staff I think I have ever encountered, in all honestly. Dr. Mangubat was incredibly attentive to what my end goals were for my chest and the results I was looking for, and I can say I could not be more satisfied. Every day I still wake up amazed and delighted by the body I am in now. I have been excited to go out and dress up (or dress down) and be happy about how I look.

The process was fantastic, results exceeded expectations, the consults and office visits were a bit awkward, but I also have a very long history of emotional abuse which definitely factors in.

The overall experience was very good. Doctor is really skilled and as of 3 weeks I see good results. What I feel could have helped enhance my experience are two fold: 1) To get recommendations from doctor on complimentary procedures at pre-op consultations: As patient is not experienced as the doctor is of potential unexpected results. Eg. Post rhinoplastiy, though my nose looks great, the gap between my nose and lips is too big. If i had got an indication that an upper lip lift would complement the rhinoplasty, it would have really helped so that i could have got it done at same time as rhinoplasty. 2) Giving details of what to expect over different stages of recovery, to lessen anxiety of patient. Eg. I was really concerned about the high positioning of the implants at 1 week post op. Making me aware of fluff and drop procedure could have helped me deal with my anxiety post surgery.

As a fat trans man, it took me a long time to even consider the idea that I would be able to have top surgery. When I finally broached the idea, I scheduled appointments with multiple providers, and they all seemed to fall flat, especially when the conversation would turn to dog ears, and the potential complications and risks involved. I came to Dr. Mangubat after reading many reviews, and I am incredibly glad I did. From the first meeting Dr. Mangubat was respectful, and understanding. He explained his procedure in depth, and I never once worried that because I am heavy set there would be an issue. It's been a full year since my procedure, and I would not change anything. I feel like a new man, and like my true authentic self finally.
