Have great experience in understanding RA with Dr. V He has full attention on listening to you which is comforting to me. Explaining all questions you have asked. He is informative on issues.

Dr. Villanueva is very knowledgeable and informative. I rely on his opinion greatly. I've been going to his Hagerstown office since 2013. The staff are wonderful!

I am grateful for Dr V and the staff. Dr V keeps close tabs on blood lab work to monitor how meds may affect bloodwork and any changes that may need to be made.

Dr. Villanueva treated me for 5 years for RA and for the entire length of the relationship, he treated me with what can only be described as contempt. Maybe he has a bad home life; maybe he wishes that he had become a surgeon instead of a paper pusher or maybe he is just an arrogant and contemptuous individual both professionally and personally. Whatever the reason, I just made the switch to a different RA doctor today and I couldn't be happier about it. I had been warned about Dr. Villanueva from the start by several people (including the lady who draws my blood) and as usual, I didn't listen as I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and form my own opinions. In this case, I should have paid attention to those who were warning me and saved myself 5 years worth of frustration ion, unnecessary procedures and needless pain

Feel very confident with the level of care I am receiving at MMI.

Took my positive blood tests and didnt give them back, did not show me the ones he did and only ran a rheumatoid factor test when i tested positive for more than one test. Told me i was a false positive based on the one test and i believed him until i went back to primary care and they told me he tells most people they are a false positive this wasted half a year of my time. He also would not acknowledge my pain and give me instructions on who to go to next for joint pain

Amanda was amazing professional and make feel comfortable even do i have phobia agains needles and marie at the front desk was clear friendly courteous and professional i had great experience today and definitely will recommend this facility to family and friends

This is about his nurse and ability to reach the doctor. They must give him messages selectively if ever because when you leave a symptom (as requested to be reported to him) there is no callback. I called on a Thursday and repeat on Friday and never got a call back not even to say you ought to come in. I don't know how sick you have to be to have them return a call Once you get in the office they are very nfriendly I need to find another doctor

He has very poor bedside manor. Told me off during visit. Very rushed and ready to leave room. Exam was minimal and poor especially as new patient. Maybe smart but you need a doctor patient relationship working together. I would never recommend him. Way to rushed, poor examination, anxious to leave room, felt talked down to, annoyed when asked to explain things and arrogant personality.

While I don't see him any longer, he ran a battery of tests on me to rule out lupus & sjogren's. He took his time & met with me. He didn't just shrug me off. He explained every test & what it meant. I've never had a doctor do that for me. I was very pleased & if I needed to see a rheumatologist, he would be the one.

Arrogant and unfriendly talked down to me and did not help me with my issue

Overall, the doctor was difficult to talk to, ignored what i tried to explain and was not concerned with the pain i experience daily. His bedside manner is terrible, but more importantly, the diagnostic information changed numerous times and he rushed me through leaving me confused and frustrated. After 4 appointments i have found a new doc.

Dr. Villaneuva always made me feel comfortable. He is patient and doesn't make you feel rushed. He accurately diagnosed me with lupus 7 years ago, just after listening to my symptoms. His follow up was amazing and his coordination with my other doctors remarkable. Unfortunately, I no longer see him because his practice has moved but I have not been able to find another Rheumatologist on his standards.I am strongly considering taking the longer drive to reunite with him. Makes a big difference in my health to feel connected to my doctor.

Excellent in all important points. Easy to talk to. draws patient out; gets right to the point. Follow up visit only if needed. Does not prescribe unnessary Rx. Very pleased by him and his manner.

Dr. Villanueva treated me like I had a brain and could understand complex ideas, explained his diagosis and went as far as to call me up a week later to see how I was feeling. He's a gem!
