Dr. Eric Mukai, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Mukai as my primary care provider for five years. He always listens to what my presenting issues are, spends enough time with me (never rushes) and follows through on any referrals. His feedback is detailed and not at all hurried. While I hate going to "the doctor" I'm always happy to see him. He also has a terrific dry sense of humor.

I suffered from depression and additionally was at increased risk for stroke. He completely ignored my mental health and focused solely on my physical deficits. I found another doctor who helped me out of my depression so I was then able to lower my risk of stroke .

Been to see this doctor for my illness I was very sick with many issues he said that I had nothing wrong with me. I seen another doctor had one test came back with chronic late Lyme disease.

Dr.Mukai was the worst doctor I've ever had ..I had him for two yrs and not once did he ever help me ..every time I had a problem he would tell me to drink more water ..he says he's experienced but he would always look in his book for how to treat my symptoms ..anytime I asked him for a referrals he always told me no ..I have a new doctor now and she's the best and she listens and she knew exactly what was wrong ..Dr.Mukai acts like a robot with no emotions and has the personality of a stick

Rarely verifies his diagnostic assumptions with tests or referrals. Limited physical exam.

Stay away from this one, very far away....

Excellent, caring physician. Cared about me and my concerns, willing to work with me over time to address all of them.

This doctor was rude and impatient and told me he would not see me because I brought a list of symptoms and that I was fine. Diagnosed a day later w/bronchitis STAY AWAY

Dr. Mukai has been my primary care physician for the past several years. Without fail, he's been prompt, professional, and courteous -- and he's always willing to take the time necessary to discuss any concerns.

Md. Mukai, in my experience is a very uncaring physician. His bedside manner is nonexistent and his diagnosis of my problem was incorrect. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. There are other, more qualified, kinder physicians in practice in Maine.
