Dr. Erica Nicole Horn, MD

Dr Horn is a very caring, well-mannered and professional physician. She is very knowledgeable in medicine. She provides our family the care and insight knowledge many healthcare providers do not think about. She is a walking library and we've been able to tap into and wisdom and experience.

Dr. Horn is a wonderful, great, caring doctor! I was her patient for years! I absolutely recommend her to any pregnant lady!

Dr Horn did my ablation because of super low iron. And I have NEVER had a more caring Dr in my entire life. I’m also seeing 2 other Drs because of the same issue, and she is the only one who took the time to explain what was goin on, and to answer my questions. For once a Dr that actually cares about her patients.

She made sure I was well taken care of at all cost.

My wife had an Endometrial Ablation with Dr. Horn. During the initial visit when she suggested the procedure, we asked if we could take a couple of days to discuss it together. At this point Dr. Horn became very standoffish and condescending about our decison. The day of the procedure, she seemed friendly enough before. I was called back into a consultation room to speak with her afterwards about how it went. After 45 minutes of waiting and thinking something had gone wrong, the staff informed me that they couldn't find her. I was later told that she had gone to lunch. After we were released from the PACU, the surgery RN told us that Dr. Horn hadn't written a prescription for any postop pain meds. He got on the phone with her clinic and after a heated debate told us that there would be a script waiting for us at her office if we hurried. When we got there, she had forgotten to sign the prescription and had left for the day. Every hospital and clinical staff member that was involved in our case that day was visible irate with her and apologized to us. Never trust your healthcare to this horrible woman.

I got pregnant with my first child and I was scared. More scared than I'd ever been in my life. When I first got to see Dr Horn, like many others, I was puzzled by how quiet she was. This could be taken as bad bedside manners but I stuck around and when I voiced how scared I was to her, and I told her I wanted to take parenting classes because I was worried I'd fail, she told me that the fact that I was concerned about taking parenting classes, meant that I truly cared and that I had the potential to be a wonderful mother. That moved me because I never intended to have children. Her humor is a little dry, mine was too though so I got a kick out of her sometimes. I even pushed my daughter out a little because I laughed when she cracked a joke while I was in labor. I think the majority of the people that give her bad reviews have only been to maybe one or two appointments with her. Shes a very honest and up front kind of person, no sugarcoating things, which was crucial to me when I chose my doctor. I ended up having pre and post pardum depression to which she directed me to the facility that would help me most there, as well as prescribed me some zoloft. I didn't think I'd get through this but I did and the majority of my help came from her. At my six weeks checkup, I opted for the birth control patch, only to find that I was allergic to the adhesive on the patches. I called and she had me in there the very next day for the arm implant. She never mentioned a c-section during my labor which I think is a major plus.

Dr. Horn is an amazing surgeon. She recently performed my hysterectomy. I loved her direct, no nonsense approach. She tells it like it is.

Dr horn should not be a doctor. Her bedside manner is horrible. She is completely out of touch with reality. It's like she's afraid to touch her patients. I told her about issues before she did a biopsy, such as a dull aching pelvic pain, and she said it was probably a prolapsed uterus. Wow, really ? your going to make that diagnosis without even looking at me ? She proceeded to do the biopsy and I've been in intense pain for 8 days now. I called 3 days in a row with no return phone call from her, finally her nurse was kind enough to schedule me a follow up. When I did see Dr horn again, she proceeded to tell me that my complications were probably due to a gastrointestinal problem or a uterus infection and that they were completely coincidental, having nothing to do with the biopsy. I just find it amazing that I didn't have these problems before. She compared the colposcopy that she performed to being like a "scrape on your knee" I educated myself before the procedure as well as after for the recovery time. It's hardly a scrape and the normal recovery time should just be a few days. I pray to God that her license is revoked. I cannot imagine this woman doing procedures likes c-sections and hysterectomies, and delivering babies.

Dr. Horn is very rude and does not care what you have to say about the way you feel. I caught her rolling her eyes and sighing the majority of the time and it made me feel unwelcome and unimportant . She is unprofessional ! As I was telling her about a past experience of my diagnosis she said " uh huh , you have a nice day" and walked out of the room.

Talked to me about all my concerns and was very upfront and honest. She made sure I understood everything and really helped a lot!

Dr. Horn can come off as rude or uncaring at first but give her time and you'll see she is fantastic. As others have said she is soft spoken and a no nonsense sort of person. Her humor is something you have to get used to. If your looking for an honest straight forward doctor who doesn't like to waist time, look no further. One thing she would often tell me is that its better safe than sorry, can't argue with that. Dr. Horn doesn't cater to those looking for attention or who refuse to use their head so that more than likely explains some of the bad reviews. I hope I'll get to have her as my doctor if we decide to have another child.

She isn't very friendly which is important to me in choosing a doctor.

Dr. Horn is awesome! She is attentive and caring and always has a smile on her face. She is very straightforward and honest with her patients. I think some people take her honesty as rudeness, but I have seen her for 2 years now and I disagree. I think she can stern, but it's only when necessary. When my baby's heart rate started to drop, she told me to push like I have never pushed before and that both of our lives depended on it. That's what I did and with her help I had a happy and healthy baby. I love her and her attitude. She's wonderful.

this women should have her license pulled,dont ever use her if you value your life..

I went to the hospital with contractions five minutes apart while Dr. Horn was on call. I was only dilated two centimeters, so a nurse called her and the doctor told them to send me home, that I was experiencing stretching pain in my back and pelvis, not contractions. She diagnosed this without seeing me or even speaking to me. So we made the almost thirty mile drive back home. Hours later the pain was horrible and I called the hospital explaining that I was sick to my stomach with pain and literally broke out in a sweat. Dr. Horn informed me that it was "meant to be uncomfortable," that she'd told three other girls that day that hot flashes were normal due to hormones, and that I could take something for the upset stomach. I was also told I'd be sent home if I returned to the hospital. I went back anyway, and by the time I got there I was fully dilated with no time for any pain meds or to even be checked into the hospital. I was checked in after the birth. Dr. Horn's comment? "It's hard to tell these things over the phone."

She's great!!! Very involved in your progress with baby and also very caring. She is a very personable doctor and i would most def see her again :)
