Dr. Erich Francis Wedam, MD

Dr Wedam is the best of all doctors. He takes the time to talk through all aspects of a condition and possible treatment. He listens and has an approachable, yet pragmatic approach. Lucky to have found him.

I went in for an initial visit and was a bit disappointed after reading the good reviews. He starts by telling me he's just an internist with an interest in preventive cardiology. Here I'm expecting a specialist in the cardiovascular system.. who can accurately diagnose problems related to the heart and veins. He lectures for 20 min. about non related things about the heart, like this is something anyone with intelligence wouldn't already know, and does a quick check 5 min. max., doesn't look at a Cat Scan I brought with me that showed a specific problem and never asks any questions about that. The nurse does an EKG. Then he orders some other tests, without discussing why or what problems he is trying to test for. He didn't order a test about the problem I came for. Never asks me about my medical history about my heart, nor any other related problems.. Yes, he's a very nice young man, with a good bedside manner, but I'm not sure of what actual skills he has, to diagnose, and treat very serious heart/vascular issues.. and didn't leave with the impression that he will be of help. I guess I'll see when the results come back.

Dr. Wedam is a very thorough Cardiologist. He explains everything he is doing and he answers all your questions to your satisfaction . I would highly recommend him!
