You won’t find a better orthopedic surgeon for your knees and shoulders than Dr. Stark as he has done surgery on both of my knees and one shoulder. . His bed side manner is a little rough around the edges, but I could care less as a healthy body is what I am after and he delivers!! Absolutely the best!!

Dr. Stark has performed three surgeries one me. One shoulder and one in each knee. You won’t find a better surgeon for these areas of the body than Dr. Stark.

Dr Stark & his team have provided great care. I have had two partial knee replacements with in 8 weeks, both of which I have been on my feet & out of the surgery center on the same day. I’ve been able to manage daily activity at home with minimal assistance & was able to manage stairs within a couple days post surgery, exceeding my expectations. I will be going in for rotator cuff surgery eight weeks following my last knee surgery and I’m confident that will go equally as well.

Dr Stark is amazing and I just wish I went to him first when my shoulder pain started. Unfortunately, I chose the path of convenience and went to a different orthopedist near my house who misdiagnosed my injury as an AC joint sprain and injected me with cortisone. After a couple of months of rest and rehab, my shoulder was still causing me pain. After speaking with a couple of friends who knew Dr Stark, I decided to go see him. After performing some simple tests, he ordered an MRI. It turned out I had a severely shredded labrum. Im in my 40s and still like to be active, so after discussing my options with Dr Stark, we decided surgery was the best option if I wanted to continue with my previous level of activity. Even then, I decided to seek additional opinions of other orthopedists in the area (who validated Dr Stark's diagnosis and treatment plan), and eventually decided Dr Stark was the one to fix me. He and his staff were able to schedule me in pretty quickly and worked with my insurance (which was not easy!) to ensure I was covered. For my first post op appointment, Dr Stark explained what he did and why. I received multiple anchors to reattach the labrum but Dr Stark decided not to reattach the biceps tendon as it did not appear necessary. His exact words were "I didnt want to over operate". This made me like him even more. Fast forward 9 months, and Im back to training jiujitsu regularly, just finished up an aggressive surf trip and am able to lift my kids in the air with no pain. Dont get me wrong...the recovery sucked and the PT was demanding, but that was to be expected. If you have a shoulder injury, go see this man. Feel free to get other opinions too if you want. But, know that he will get you back to your old self and will have your best interests in mind when he does his job.

Dr Stark just did my total left knee replacement and he is a highly skilled surgeon. This is who you should trust. I am healing and doing the rehab process. Erik is to orthopedic surgery what James Patterson is to writing court room drama. Simply the very best! Happy patient Toni Watson

Dr Stark and all of his staff are awesome. My first surgery with Dr. Stark I was not sure if I would like him. I felt like he was very stand-offish. When I went in for my follow up he was very different than my first encounter. My second knee surgery he was great. I felt much more relaxed knowing I was in good hands. Dr. Stark knows his specialty and is excellent at what he does. This was my third knee surgery with Dr Stark and every time, the interaction with staff has been amazing. They are excellent at explaining all that will happen during and after surgery. I always go in nervous and full of anxiety but once I’m there, I’m put at ease by the sweet staff talking me through and joking around to calm my nerves.

Unfortunately, I've had to have surgery twice this year; my shoulder and left knee. Dr. Stark preformed both surgeries. He isn't the best communicator in the office but is a talented surgeon. I recovered to 100% mobility in my shoulder, which I previously have only a slight range of motion in. This was just a clean up of the joint and removal of calcium deposits. My knee surgery was only 2 weeks ago so I'm still recovering. I anticipate a full recovery. I am pain free and feeling really good! My knee was a complicated meniscus root repair and clean up of arthritis in the joint.

I am getting ready for a knee replacement by Dr Stark. feel yes he is very confident. That pleases me. 35 years ago I had to have surgery on a severely broken ankle. The surgeon back then, was the same. Very confident. At first I said, nobody can be that cocky. Well, let me tell you, 35 years later and my ankle is better than new with '0' problems. So, I you feel unsure about having a procedure, just be thankful your dr is confident and will get the job done.

Very very good surgeon. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. His staff are wonderful. I do wish I had more time to speak with him and that appointments lasted a little longer when needed.I couldn't ask for a better surgeon though as he is great at what he does. Very talented. Appointment times are sometimes late but I believe this is because he takes more time with clients who need more help then I did. Overall, I would not choose anyone else as I feel he is the best surgeon I have been too. Very knowledgeable and up to date with new procedures.
