I highly recommend Dr. Seifarth! He is very kind, attentive and is an awesome surgeon. He always takes the time to answer all of our questions and makes it easy to understand everything. We know that our daughter Zoey is always in good hands she feels so comfortable with him. He has performed many difficult colon surgeries on our daughter . It’s nice to fully have a surgeon we can trust that our daughter will be in good hands. Dr. Seifarth and his whole team are just amazing and wonderful!

Dr. Seifarth has exceptional bedside manner. He takes time to fully explain and even draw out pictures of the issue and exactly how he can fix it. Dr. Seifarth went above and beyond by having his procedural team give update calls during my three year old daughter's surgical procedure. Providing me with information during the procedure helped to calm my nerves and feel more comfortable. He not only was caring for daughter but also for me and my husband. This is true family-centered care that sets Dr. Seifarth apart from other providers.

Dr. Seifarth is an incredible surgeon. Our boy had an emergency surgery that required some critical decisions. We believe that he not only saved our boy's life but gave him the best possible quality of life possible. He was very clear in helping us understand what was going on with drawings and took the time to answer all questions we had. He even remembered our son's case in detail after returning from vacation. You can tell that he really cares about his patients; we'd recommend him to any and everyone.

Dr. Seifarth has taken excellent care of our baby boy. He has been with us since birth and he is now 3 months old, he was born with a rare disease called Hirschsprungs diseases, Dr. Seifarth has preformed 3 surgeries on our baby, and we couldn’t ask for anyone better. His bedside manner is excellent, he answers all questions and concerns, he drew us pictures to better explain how he was going to preform the surgery on our baby. He is super kind and knowledgeable and gives total reassurance and takes his time explaining and making sure we understand. He is the absolute best!

Our baby girl was born at 25 weeks and 11 days into life she needed a surgery to remove 4 inches of her intestine due to 3 perforations. We were scared but Dr. Seifarth and his team walked us through everything. He even drew us a picture to help us better understand. He was very calm and understanding to all of our questions and concerns no matter how small. He took the time and made us feel like we were his only patients. Our little angel has since undergone 2 more surgeries with Dr. Seifarth to reverse the original and reconnect her intestines. He has been amazing with her and us! Always coming to the bedside to check on us and make sure everything is perfect! We couldn't be happier with his work and her outcome!

Our daughter recently spent a week in the hospital after an emergency surgery conducted by Dr. Seifarth. I cannot speak highly enough of the level of care she received. Dr. Seifarth and his team were excellent communicators, very knowledgeable and compassionate, patient, thorough, and attentive. Not only did he ensure she was extremely well taken care of but went above and beyond to ensure that we were, as well. In addition, the level of care and kindness we experienced from everyone we encountered at WVU Medicine Children's was top notch. I would highly recommend Dr. Seifarth and WVU Medicine.

Our son had a duplication cyst located in the bowel that was enlarging and without intervention would cause a bowel obstruction and other issues. We were referred to Dr. Seifarth and we are so glad that he was our son’s surgeon. He has a pleasant demeanor, with a compassionate bedside manner. He helped us walk through the diagnosis and what surgery entailed. He and his team were so caring and thoughtful; they called us at different stages during his surgery to update us, which helped soothe our nerves. His surgery was a little more complex involving his appendix and an obstruction that had started in the small intestine. This made the surgery take extra time but Dr. Seifarth was not phased by it at all. He explained everything to us so well. We were confident in his care. Post-Op Dr. Seifarth and his team were available for questions and were prompt with returning calls. He and his team really made the whole process the best that it could be. We are so grateful! Our son is healed and thriving!

Our young daughter had appendicitis that ruptured and needed surgery as well as a hospital stay for a few days afterwards. Dr. Seifarth performed her surgery using the tiniest single incision around her bellybutton so that she has almost no scar! He saw her every single day in the hospital, often twice a day, to update us on her plan of care and to let us know how she was doing. We wouldn't choose to ever go through this again, but if we had to we would always hope Dr. Seifarth was available for it!

Dr. Seifarth is one of the kindest, most knowledgeable, down to earth surgeons I have ever met! He performed a very long and tedious surgery on our daughter who developed a colon cancer extremely rare for someone her age. Because of Dr. Seifarth, and the time he took to diligently gather a large, skilled surgical team, our daughter has a new lease on life! He was always compassionate and took his time to speak with us at length about any questions we asked, putting our fears at ease. Our daughter loved him and was very comfortable with the multiple procedures/surgeries he performed on her. He is the reason she did not fear having surgery. I would not hesitate to allow him to perform any future surgeries on our daughter.

Excellent bedside manners, caring, patient, attentive, considerate, kind, professional, I could keep going on and on. Both of my sons had surgeries this year 1 at 17 days old and the other at 3 months and one of my sons has 2 more surgeries this year and Dr seifarth his staff guided and helped us go through this very difficult time. Words can't describe how thankful we are.

My 6 year old daughter was rushed to Morgantown (2.5 hours from home) with appendicitis. We arrived at the hospital via ambulance about 2am. Dr Seifarth was in our room talking with us within a few minutes. He explained talking with the previous hospital and what his plan was for us and her. He included my daughter in every part of the conversation and ensured she understood and was not afraid. He explained the issue, next steps, timelines and outcome in appropriate detail and was incredibly caring to our family during this time. He checked back on us several times throughout the night to ensure we were comfortable, and my daughter was in as little pain as possible. He walked us down to surgery himself, and stayed with us always informing us as to what is happening. He was compassionate about our apphrensions as this was the first surgery for any of my children. My daughters surgery went flawlessly! He came to speak with us while she was in post operation area. He showed us pics of her appendix so we could see exactly what happened. He continued to check on us and include my daughter while recovering. My daughter is somewhat shy to begin with, and to see her open up and interact with this man was amazing. Recovery was uneventful. At our followup appt, he was the same way; he included her and spoke with her about how she's feeling, how this would affect her going forward in life. There is no visible scar at all- a testimony to his skill. Truly blessed to have had him with us during this process. I also feel truly blessed that we could do this closer to home and not have to travel further. WVU hospital (Ruby) is top notch in pediatrics- we are forever thankful for Dr Seifarth and the amazing staff we encountered.

Our son had pyloric stenosis and had to have surgery. Dr. Seifarth helped ease our anxiety during our hospital stay and explained everything in detail about what to expect before, during, and after the surgery. He surpassed our expectations and gave us a great experience for our situation.

We couldn't be happier with how the surgery went for our little one. It was very stressful to hear that at 4yr old would need surgery, but Dr. Seifarth put our minds at ease and was extremely kind to us all through the entire process. We are so lucky to have him. My daughter was not afraid due to his kind and thoughtful bedside manner. He knew exactly how to talk to her and explained the process in a way that she understood and was comfortable with.

My son had a freak accident and cut his face on the playground. I was so worried he would go forward in life with a big scar on his face. Once in the ER Dr. Seifarth calmed me down and assured me there wouldn't even be a noticeable mark. My son is seven months healed from the accident and you can't even see where the cut was. Dr. Seifarth is a gifted surgeon, but more importantly a great person. I was so impressed with his bed side manner and compassion. He cared for my son just like it was his own child. FYI - I learned he was one of America's Most Beautiful Doctors in 2013, featured on The Doctors TV Show! Beautiful inside and out he is!

I cannot recommend Dr. Seifarth enough. He is a truly remarkable asset to pediatric surgery in Montana. His experience in leadership roles for large regional hospitals (Cleveland Clinic esp.) has equipped him to provide top-level care for his patients, as well as the parents. Our son, L, was diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s Disease after a life-threatening case of enterocolitis. Thus, he required two procedures - a levelling colostomy, and ultimately, a pull-through. We were lucky enough to have both done by Dr. Seifarth. The ostomy nurses we saw were all struck by the symmetry and masterful work on L’s colostomy, which made the two-months of bag changes much easier. Currently, we are still in the thick of L’s recovery from the pull-through, but Dr. Seifarth texts to check in every other day. He is an excellent communicator from pre- to post-op. We always felt like we were in the right hands. His training, experience, and credentials speak for themselves, but he’s also just a good human. Here’s one of many examples of Dr. Seifarth’s kindness: after a pull-through, one of the largest risks is perineal excoriation (breakdown of the butt skin). He brought us a tin of this german diaper rash cream - Penaten - from his own home that he had used with his children. It was a small gesture, but very humanizing. Seriously, such a great dude. He is compassionate, generous with his time, and treats each kid like they are his own. Use him if you are able.

Both of our teenage boys developed pectus carinatum during their rapid growth spurts. Living in Montana, we figured we would have to travel out of state to consult about surgery versus bracing. Our pediatrician referred us to Dr. Siefarth in Kalispell, MT and we immediately knew how lucky we were upon meeting him. He is incredibly knowledgeable about chest wall deformities and presented us with options. He began by gaining our trust by explaining the entire outline of how the brace works and relayed his experiences with successful outcomes. Dr. Siefarth was very honest about the emotional and physical impacts wearing the brace can have. Through the process, he and his outstanding staff have always been available to answer any questions while following up on concerns with exceptional recommendations. We highly recommend him and are so pleased with the results. Our children's chest wall deformities are corrected and their confidence in themselves and their bodies has greatly improved. Our boys love the appointments with him because he is so good natured, has a fantastic sense of humor, and relates so well to kids. We are truly grateful!

My son required an umbilical hernia repair at the age of 6. Dr. Seifarth was amazing! My son was ready and excited to get his "button" fixed by his doctor because everything was explained to him in a way he could understand. I will gladly drive up to Kalispell for any other surgeries my children require. Having the outreach clinic here in Great Falls made followup a breeze. My little guy is excited to show anyone who asks his new "button". He is even more excited that it looks just like his sisters!

We cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Montana Children’s Hospital in Kalispell, more specifically Dr. Federico Seifarth. We had never heard of Montana Children’s Hospital before our son was born with a rare liver disease. It was a relief to find out that such specialized care existed in our state. The care we received was second to none. Upon arrival, we were incredibly impressed with both the facility and the staff. The doctors worked together in a collaborative team atmosphere that we had never seen before. The other support staff were equally focused on helping us and our family as we navigated the puzzle of hospital life and insurance issues. We were pretty clueless and confused, but from the second Dr. Seifarth walked into the room, he explained everything in such great detail (and such detail that we could actually understand!). We never felt like he was rushed when he was speaking with us and he always entertained all of our questions with professionalism and care. The initial surgery and biopsy done on our son by Dr. Seifarth went incredibly and we appreciated his use of minimally invasive techniques. When our son had to be transferred to a larger facility for more advanced care, we wished that we could have brought Dr. Seifarth and all of the staff at Montana Children’s with us, as we were nothing but impressed by them. Dr. Seifarth was also amazing in going above and beyond by personally following up with us on multiple occasions after we were discharged. This made us feel like he really cared about our son and that he wasn’t just another patient on the table. We will forever be grateful for Montana Children’s and Dr. Seifarth.

For starters my 9 year old was faced with some scary, unforeseen medical challenges. We went into the ER thinking it was only the flu. After alot of guessing and mother melt downs they sent us to Dr Seifarth which was the best thing that could have possibly happened to our family.....we were sent to Kalispell with out a clue what this emergency surgery was even about. Unknowing the true extent of what was about to happen. For all we knew our little girl was about to get sliced open. When we arrived and met the dr all my worries went away. He didnt only explain to me what was going on and how he would fix it he also explained it to her so she fully felt comfortable! That was the true beauty of this man.... it is 100% about the kids and making a rough time alot better. The staff was AMAZING and there was alot more laughing than crying! I would take all of my girls there over and over because of the most incredible visit we could of hoped for. He uses minimal invasive procedures which made recovery a breeze along with two tiny little pin holes of what you can consider scares! My daughter has a follow up appointment next week (which he is coming to down to Helena so we dont have to make that drive again) and Dottie can't wait to see her hero again! we appreciate everything you do for these little ones. They are truly in good hands!
